Landmark Education: worth watching video and my story – Part One

I was first introduced to Landmark Education it was called something else, Werner Erhard and Associates. I was a new immigrant in Israel, worked for the City of Jerusalem as an architect, in the Town Planning Department. I was lonely and miserable.

I left Hungary hoping for a family. I left Hungary hoping for a better life. Instead I brought my misery with me and got loneliness on top of it.

One day a woman I barely knew by sight stuck her head in the door of my office and invited us, 4 girls, to a thing at her home. I said yes, I would have gone anywhere at that point.

My Hebrew was good enough to work, not too good to converse at that point.

Is Becoming Like Jesus the same as becoming like god?

I need to state first, that I am not a Christian.

I have a Jewish heritage, grew up atheist in a Communist country. Had people been allowed to be religious, they would have been predominantly Catholic there. I attended one year of religious education in Israel. I left the school for irreconcilable differences in worldview. Have been studying Kabbalah for 8 years.

I am not religious. But I am very interested in the heritage of the world I am here to help connect, help ascend.

And in Jesus, and the tale, I was always interested in. I even read the bible in Hungarian… didn’t understand much, but I read it.

I had an inspiration this morning: I woke up early. I made myself a cup of tea, went back to bed, and read a little.

About an hour later I woke up from a dream of writing THIS article. Here it is, just the way it came to me in my dream:

It takes intellectual intelligence (the one the IQ tests test) to see this. It has nothing to do with being stingy, or emotionally unevolved.

The story behind this knowledge comes from 1991-1992.

I was a student in Werner Erhard and Associates in 1991, when Werner appeared on 60 minutes and consequently had to leave the country, his company, and go into exile.

He sold the company to its employees, and the company faltered. It always happens when the vision of the company wasn’t shared between owner and staff.

Not surprisingly, for most students the first step towards mastery is mastering their attention. Unless you can control your attention, you are a putz… and are controlled by someone or something, but not you. And for you to be you, you need to call the shot.

The luckier students admit that they have a difficult time sticking with a book… because they can’t pay attention to it, they can’t understand, or they can’t remember what they read. Or the do a narrative, argue with the book, agree, disagree… but have no idea what they actually read. They remember the arguing. The last few days have been extraordinary. Not good, not very bad, simply not my ordinary days.

In 1967 I applied to participate in a 6-day on site advanced program in Landmark Education… it was still called Werner Erhard and Associates at the time.

I was denied. The staff member for admittance told me: Until you learn the difference between thinking and doing, you can’t do the course.

Everything you know is in the way of you being able to act powerfully

That wasn’t the exact expression… I said: “Everything you know is in your way of being creative…”

I said this to the first person I coached in the United States. It was 1986, and she volunteered to be my ride to and from Landmark Education… of course at the time it was called Werner Erhard and Associates.

Possibilities in Landmark Education equal DNA capacities… but does declaring a possibility turn a capacity on?

The Landmark Education shortcut that doesn’t work:
“the possibility I declare for myself and my life”
“the possibility I invent for myself and my life”

the words that follow are: the possibility of being prosperous, happy, powerful, free, happy, passionately happy, blah blah blah… inspiring for a moment. A moment. Not even a day.
