Are you stingy with yourself? Skimping?

Are you stingy with yourself? Skimping?

I am watching you… lol. Not like Big Brother, more like I learn from you what you need. Where you are defeating your best intentions, where you leak energy, where you get it wrong.

Some articles don’t make any noise: there is no one to hear them. My last article was like that. A tree that falls in a forest… doesn’t make any noise, even though it fell… Why? Because no one heard it.

Because you are here (I hope at least some of you) to get help in attaining to the good life, You want me to watch you… it is for your benefit.

I was just telling one of my students the biggest missing he has: The principle that

everything you ever wanted comes to you through other people

or as Wallace D. Wattles says in The Science of Getting Rich: the gold coins won’t roll out and to you, they will be in the hands of others.

How you stop everything You Ever Wanted from Coming To You?

Everything You Ever Wanted Is Coming To You Through Other People.

Henry David Thoreau wrote

The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation.

What does it mean desperation?

Desperate means “having lost all hope.” … If you are in a desperate situation, it means things are really, really bad. Desperate… Both desperate and despair come from the same Latin verb as despair.

I remember clearly what that is like. It wasn’t long ago where I was wholly resigned and therefore had nothing to look forward to…

It was about 10 years ago that I had a turning point.

Keep your wits about you. Don’t be a monkey with a big brain

Keep your wits about you. Don’t be a monkey with a big brain

Keep your wits about you… or what it takes to become a human being instead of a monkey with a big brain

One of the amazing things I learned from The Jungle Book is that humans are really just monkeys, if we look at their behavior. Lots of chatter, no aim, short attention span, have no ability or even need to think independently…

Very interesting findings. Once you put your attention on a behavior, capacity, characteristic, you start to see what it does for you… or conversely, what the lack of it does for you.

The capacity I am now observing is attention. 1There is a fundamental difference between learning ABOUT attention and TRAINING your attention. I saw that there are courses on Khan Academy about attention, just like we have done the coursera course, learning to learn. Both are about… not the doing of it. Do you want it just in case, or is it just in time? Updated

I see this time and time again: if and when you need it, there is a triple amount of chance that you will actually do what you need to do to learn it, engage with it, read it… do it.

Triple is still small for most people… but it is, hell, three times more than you would do if you just wanted it. 2

Want what? Growing, practice, spiritual capacities, healing, courses, coaching… transformation, living on the vertical plane, in reality, where nothing is wrong. That is what I “sell”…

I have been struggling to get through to this one client to be able to support him in using and keeping the activation of the capacity “causing.” Causing your life, to own what belongs to you, to own what you are doing, what you are feeling, even what you are NOT feeling.

Causing is a very high capacity, dependent on your capacity to own what you can own. What belongs to you.

I can feel that most of the time he is on his computer, reading articles. Continue reading “Do you want it just in case, or is it just in time? Updated”

Reading… Connecting the dots… why can’t you?

Reading… Connecting the dots… why can’t you?

Why is it that in spite of all the reading, all the studying, all the classes you take, you are not amounting to much, to as much as you feel you should have earned?

And no matter how many people suggest that reading a book a week is good for you… it may do nothing for you… I have seen that with my students… and while writing yesterday’s article, the ‘April 1… joy-full life’ article, I saw it again. Continue reading “Reading… Connecting the dots… why can’t you?”

What is the secret to joy? To a joy-full life?

How much joy do you have in your life?

I learned to ask this question from Dr. Popper… whose videos are my 20-day learning challenge.

Each video is about an hour long, I listen at 1.5x speed, because time is money. This speed still allows me to ponder and listen at the same time.

I am a fast listener: I don’t go to my mind to compare, to negate, to argue. I listen and ponder.

I turn what I hear into gold. This is one of my principles in life: to put all power in all actions… to turn everything I do into gold. Or into Life… which is the same. Praiseworthy. Excellent. Valuable.

Here is what Tai Lopez says about this Continue reading “What is the secret to joy? To a joy-full life?”

Abundance Or Scarcity? Choose… And you can…

Abundance Or Scarcity? Choose… Updated

water doesn't exist for the fishThis article is from 2014…

Often anything can kick you into the horizontal plane 3 . I got kicked into it… the horizontal plane, and now I am working my way off… it is not that easy. I can’t even connect to muscletest… the horizontal plane is sticky. It wants you, all of you. It eats your life for breakfast.

Let me explain: Humanity (you!) lives on the horizontal plane at this stage of evolution. It is both the starting point and the end state…

On the horizontal plane everything is about comparison. More, better, different…

The good old days…
I want what they have, because I don’t have it… and I want it.

The bumbling idiot’s guide to a life worth writing about

“The only thing worth writing about is the human heart in conflict with itself” said William Faulkner. I agree, even though the language, the vocabulary is imprecise.

The “heart” is one self, and the other self is the precious I, the delusional I, the lower self.

The conflict, the struggle to make those two selves align, as William Faulkner says, is worth writing about… because it is like a hero’s journey.

I call it “soul correction” because I am firmly rooted in Kabbalah’s view of life. But it is the same thing: bringing the two selves in harmony so they cause synergy that allows living a life worth writing about.

This pretty much the context for the next quote: “Either write something worth reading (about) or do something worth writing (about).” – Benjamin Franklin. I added the word “about” in brackets for clarity. Continue reading “The bumbling idiot’s guide to a life worth writing about”

Long term memory… learn to connect the dots

Long term memory… learn to connect the dots

Connecting the dots… Cognitive performance… Cognitive activity… what am I talking about?

Cognition, according to the dictionary is “the mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought, experience, and the senses.” Acquiring knowledge means: it stays… NOT merely understanding. You’ll see why later in this article.

As clients get better results nowadays, I am now really motivated to get better myself, to be able to help them get even better results.

So I read more books, watch more relevant videos, have extra conversations to home in on what isn’t working as well yet as I hoped it would, and what would.

How do I learn?

How To Stay Broke Forever… stay busy pretending

How To Stay Broke Forever… stay busy pretending

If you ever wondered where guidance comes from, here is a great example, from about 10 minutes ago.

In an email conversation, one of my “interns” was commiserating with me… because the refrigerator died again, and this time there is no excuse: it needs to be replaced. Continue reading “How To Stay Broke Forever… stay busy pretending”
