Most people who will die in the next decade are already sick

that's not fairWe are in the midst of the Reframing Challenge… aka Creativity Challenge… So that is the context of this article…

Most killing diseases take many years if not decades to grow to the level where they can be detected with traditional methods.

So by the time they are detected, they are so established that healing them is not possible.

The expression ‘your cancer is in remission‘, 98% of the time means: you did not have cancer to begin with. But most cancer treatments are worse than what they are trying to ‘heal’.

So what are you supposed to do? Wait for death? Continue reading “Most people who will die in the next decade are already sick”

Reframing… take the Precious I out of the picture

A student of mine gave me access to a course he bought that teaches psychiatrists to reframe the client’s story so it hurts less, or maybe doesn’t hurt at all.

Reframing sounds really simple: look at what is happening or what happened from a different angle, with different eyes.

The most important element of reframing is to step out of your persona, step out of your ego, step out of who you consider yourself to be. Continue reading “Reframing… take the Precious I out of the picture”

The most accurate measure of both unhappiness and disease

When we work on distinguishing reality from the voices you add, we actually work on one of the most important aspects of life: your emotions.

The quality of your life, how you feel about yourself, about your life, about the people in your life is all emotions.

You, mistakenly think, that your emotions are an accurate expression, an accurate measure of what they seem to be around, but they aren’t.

The Starting Point Measurements has one measure that directly asks the questions: 26. To what degree you honor your emotions as reality? %

The higher that number is the more wretched you are inside… Continue reading “The most accurate measure of both unhappiness and disease”

What you see will give you your emotions, your actions

When I find an issue that a student is struggling or not dealing well with, I write an article.

The issue here, I guess, is universal.

It has two parts:

  • you can’t see the big picture, the forest, for the trees. You are stuck with your ONE interpretation of facts. One of anything is dangerous! You are rigid. You have no imagination. And you have a fixed mindset. You have believed the myth of ‘is’…
  • you are not good, practiced, skillful at taking advantage of the practices I have taught.

A student of mine has a daughter. The daughter decided to join the swim team. She is 13 years old. The only person who can take her to her swimming is my student. Continue reading “What you see will give you your emotions, your actions”

Prison Break? What prison are you in unbeknownst to you?

Prison Break or the Art of Questions…

What could someone do when the world, your health, your body, your relationships are not going the way they should… do anything other than be complacent, resigned, live in quiet desperation?

I always had this question, but reading the Fatemarks series the question is getting louder in my head.

On the internet Continue reading “Prison Break? What prison are you in unbeknownst to you?”

What is Transformation? How it’s like an onion…

What is Transformation?

On the very outside of the onion called transformation, is the ‘wow’ layer. Wow… what just happened? Wow… that’s not how I’ve been seeing it… An experience.

It is miraculous. It is reality changing in front of your very eyes. Continue reading “What is Transformation? How it’s like an onion…”

What does a 1000 see and you don’t? Can you learn to see?

One of the differences is that a 1000 always has a coach or coaches… mentors, people they talk to regularly, who are, in certain respects, ahead of them. People who can see what they can’t see.

See principles, distinctions, aberrations, errors, false steps, causation. Continue reading “What does a 1000 see and you don’t? Can you learn to see?”

If you feel like I have slighted you, can you learn from me?

Kiki the cat: tool for transformation and soul correctionI had a cat a decade or so ago. Her name was Kiki. She had a relationship with me that was very similar to my clients’ relationship with me.

I could say love and hate, but it would be a lie.
I could say need and resentment… that is the closest I can get to wording what was the essence.

My cat was a stray kitten when I adopted her. I already had another cat, a huge tomcat. But occasionally I invited the tiny and scrawny kitten to eat. She ran in and ran out several times. Took a bite and then ran. I guess to make sure that she wasn’t imprisoned. Continue reading “If you feel like I have slighted you, can you learn from me?”

If you are not Jewish, can you learn receiving? aka Kabbalah

My article teaching the strategy of getting out of a deep ditch hit the spot for some people.

Here is one answer I got:

I found your article very helpful with the steps to get out of a catastrophe.  I am also beginning to see the original incident and how its been playing out.
Since the original incident I’ve wanted to be liked so badly that I could not say no to the salesperson – I did not want to make her mad at me. I wanted all the things she promised to happen so that others would like me too. And for some reason, because she said others were successful with the [product], I took it as a challenge in a way. In the original incident I must have said that they – my parents –  don’t like me. I am still looking. I don’t think I hit the sentence quite right – but it seems close.
Thank you for helping me. When I read it was the undertow – I knew I wasn’t crazy.

If you find yourself behind the eight ball… way behind

If you find yourself behind the eight ball… or way behind…

I am surprised this is just surfacing now.

Someone being behind their rent, behind other payments, or behind taking care of their health and the numbers are going crazy.

Getting to what seems to be unmanageable.

What do you do?

Your/my inability to be with what doesn’t work will take you there. Just give it time.

The sound of scrambling is everywhere.

So without making you wrong for what you have done wrong… Continue reading “If you find yourself behind the eight ball… way behind”
