Is responsibility a capacity? A case study

Is responsibility a capacity? A case study

Message to my friend: please don’t be offended. This was too good a story, too educational, to pass by. I didn’t mean to offend you, or invalidate your effort.

Is responsibility a capacity? If it isn’t, it should be… but it isn’t.

Responsibility, the behavior, has lots of other capacities that need to be lit up for it to work. Continue reading “Is responsibility a capacity? A case study”

The Sight Consciousness can take the game over at any point

The Sight Consciousness can take the game over at any point

When The Sight capacity is working, ‘knowing’ hands over the reign to ‘seeing’…

Mind hands over the reign to Consciousness.

I consider and play Life as a game.

Of course when the game can’t be saved, then the game can’t be saved.

But even if I, with my physical eyes, and my ‘brilliant intellect’ cannot see that the game can be saved, cannot be taken to winning, cannot be turned around, cannot be saved… when it CAN be, regardless, Consciousness will see it. And it will see how… through what steps.

Consciousness will see it. That  is the meaning of The Sight

I am very grateful that consciousness is not judgmental, consciousness doesn’t badger me when I mess games up. Games, like my health, games like my diet, games like my marketing, games like my income, games like my relationships.

From the limited perspective of the human mind, I take those games, often, to dead-end-looking places, where I surely don’t think the game can be saved, turned around, and become a winning game again.

I am, originally, very emotional, very jumpy, very willing to burn bridges, very keen on keeping things neat, and none of those behaviors are good for any of the games a person can play… Those behaviors all lead to disasters. Unless you can turn the game over to Consciousness, and watch the wrinkles smooth out, watch the bridges rebuilt, watch as from chaos flowers sprout.

What if you only have 7 capacities? Or 8… or even 9?

What if you only have 7 capacities? Or 8… or even 9?
sports don't normally activate any higher capacitiesThe currency of life are capacities and distinctions.

The less capacities you have the closer you are to the bottom.

What? The bottom of what?

The bottom of the power pyramid. Where personal power, personal authority is the currency.

Asking what those capacities are, those seven is a little dumb, but just think about it. Continue reading “What if you only have 7 capacities? Or 8… or even 9?”

How do I keep my humility high and my about-me score low?

How do I keep my humility high and my about-me score low?

How do I keep my humility high and my about-me score low… day to day to day to day?

This question came from one of my students in a class. Interestingly none of the other students in the class asked this question. They didn’t ask, even though this may be the most important question to ask, and the most important skill to master.

You see unless you master this skill… unless you can reduce your about-me score to under 10%, your chances to interact with reality are slim… and for many people the chances are none. Continue reading “How do I keep my humility high and my about-me score low?”

Why you get depressed… I think I nailed it

Why you get depressed… I think I nailed it
Depression comes and goes in my life.

Oftentimes and a depressed mood, a hopelessness, a futility starts mixing into my life.

It is hard to sleep, or hard to get up, or both.

Nothing changes and everything changes.

I have been watching it with curiosity. Curiosity tinged with worry… it is not pleasant to be depressed. Continue reading “Why you get depressed… I think I nailed it”

Learning and growing through simulation, like doctors

Learning and growing through simulation, like doctors

We all live in a little box, and it seems that we are stuck here forever.

Life would work best if it were like a Freecell game: you lost the game? so what?! Or if it were like a University: learning to become a surgeon or a nurse.

Future surgeons don’t learn, don’t practice on live patients… they practice on dummies or on cadavers… They would certainly cause some damage while they learn otherwise. Continue reading “Learning and growing through simulation, like doctors”

Sometimes the worst thing can become the best thing

Sometimes the worst thing can become the best thing

Sometimes the worst things can become the best things.

At least in this case I hope.

George Bernard Shaw said: ‘Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.

Now, if you are here, on my site, in my courses to get progress, for yourself, for your life, then you need to change your mind. Continue reading “Sometimes the worst thing can become the best thing”

What makes Keanu Reeves someone you’d want to learn from?

What makes Keanu Reeves someone you’d want to learn from?

One of the biggest difficulties in raising your vibration, raising your consciousness, is your vocabulary. Connecting it to your life.

Unless you know what being, how, who words really really really mean, your vibration cannot rise. Your vocabulary makes you not just live in the world, but be OF THE WORLD… i.e. have the consciousness, awareness, attitude and vibration of the world… which is, at this point, has hit an all time low.

So I continue writing about your one thing…

…the one thing that can 10x your results and make everything else easier or not necessary.

Curiosity, hunger, appetite, are you killing them all?

Curiosity, hunger, appetite, are you killing them all?
Curiosity… Hunger… appetite… sexual desire…are you killing them all?

Your parents, your teachers told you: don’t eat candy, don’t eat cookies before dinner: it will kill your appetite.

The five ‘hardware-type’ needs, the need for energy supply, information, safety, reproduction and group are guided by feelings… all a lot like hunger.

Hunger can be fulfilled with empty calories or good, nourishing food.

The need, the second most vital need is the hunger for information. We also call that curiosity. You can fulfill it, just like the first one, with junk. Continue reading “Curiosity, hunger, appetite, are you killing them all?”

What is your numbnut/moron score? How would you know?

What is your numbnut/moron score? How would you know?

I am sure you think you are clear. The stuff you say, the number of words you use accurately in a language gives away your level of clarity… And it’s low. I measure it as the 10th measurement in the Starting Point Measurements.

When I say clarity, I mean every area of life… including health as you’ll see later in this article.

Now, why is this important? Because your clarity is what defines whether your actions, your reactions, your emotions are going to be in line with reality or not.

Whether you’ll be astute, or a numbnut. or anything in between. Continue reading “What is your numbnut/moron score? How would you know?”
