Does Meditation raise your awareness?
There are lots of interpretations of meditation, so I am going to share mine.
Awareness is a transitive word: it has a direction. Awareness of what? And therein lies the mischief when people use the word.
When some of my students meditate, they go into la-la land… they literally become unconscious. Although after a long life of busy mind that is blissful, it is not useful.

Bread of shame 1 is a term Kabbalah uses for a situation when someone receives and receives, with no means, no desire, or no opportunity to reciprocate or earn it.
Welfare recipients eat bread of shame.
Adult children who don’t pull their weight live on bread of shame
And I have had some opportunities for bread of shame…
Receiving bread of shame is often the perpetration in the perpetration-withhold dynamic.
You receive unearned benefits… and to compensate, you get angry and hate the giver. Nasty dynamic. Sinister.

For consciousness to awaken and become part of your life, you need to be willing to be stupid.
But if all your life you’ve taken pride in being smart, that “smart” has you in its clutches…
You try to do life with your mind, with your intellect, you are trying to get smarter… but smarts will only get you so far…
Smarts will not even allow you to understand what I am talking about. You see it is something you want. I tell you, you can’t get it through smarts. But you are unwilling to let go of being smart… so you are stuck.
When I am sent a link to video… I know I lost that person. They went to a heady, brainy stuff to figure out what I was saying.
For hours. For days. For weeks, months, years. But what I talk about cannot be “gotten” with the intellect or with the mind.
Why? Because it comes from consciousness, and only consciousness can get it.

Once I remove your attachments, you are not protected forever. You may get new attachments.
This is, normally, from what YOU do.
Here is how I get attachments: I connect to someone… I lean it, I merge with them.

What’s the issue?
