Go beyond where you NORMALLY stop… Go to where…

Go beyond where you NORMALLY stop… Go to where…

Go beyond where you NORMALLY stop… Go to where the sun shines, no matter what the season is

I woke up disgruntled… (=angry, dissatisfied) almost ready to go into devastation (which is my “home page”) but it all changed as I sat down and began to write. What was going to be a rant, became a celebration.

I guess I am not stuck with, neither am invested in, nor am I resisting being someone who rants when I feel beaten, or slighted, or hurt…Most of my students either are invested (i.e. known for) or resist being angry… i.e. stuck with being angry. This is one of those weeks: I am all talked out.

This is one of those weeks: I am all talked out.

And I rarely say anything twice. I expressed it once, and I am done with it.

34 years ago I started my journey from misery to The Promised Land… It was promised… and I went for it.

It was the last weekend of August back in 1985.

I snuck away from Jerusalem, where I lived at the time. Took the 2-hour bride to Haifa, took a taxi, and voila, my journey began.

It was a Communication Workshop. In Hebrew. My Hebrew was good enough to do work, but was pretty meager for transformational work, so it wasn’t till the last day that I understood a full sentence.

But that didn’t prevent me from having a breakthrough. Continue reading “This is one of those weeks: I am all talked out.”

I don’t know if you know the feeling when someone…

I don’t know if you know the feeling when someone…

…when someone, finally, out of the blue, comes into your life and gives you what you haven’t been able to get from anyone, even though you have been trying and trying and trying… in vain.

And then you feel love. No, I mean LOVE… if I could I would make the letters as big as a house. Love. really. Continue reading “I don’t know if you know the feeling when someone…”

Reluctance to find out the truth about themselves.

Reluctance to find out the truth about themselves.

I have been noticing a strong reluctance from people. They don’t want to find out the truth about themselves.

There is, there are signals that you are not in perfect alignment with who you would need to be to be happy, to be fulfilled, to be healthy, vigorous, the world is my oyster kind of guy or gal.

And you hate it, because it niggles away on you, like the thought of getting a C diagnosis from a doctor, the diagnosis of almost certain death.

So you procrastinate. Continue reading “Reluctance to find out the truth about themselves.”

Context is decisive. 99% of humans can’t get the idea

Context is decisive. 99% of humans can’t get the idea

Everyone says that you create your own reality. They fancy themselves creating wealth, health, a loving partner… out of thin air.

But they don’t get that they have already created their own reality… unconsciously, and now they are just stirring muck… ineffectively. Continue reading “Context is decisive. 99% of humans can’t get the idea”

Why you can’t see, don’t see value… what is in the way?

Why you can’t see, don’t see value… what is in the way?
You can’t catch what you don’t see

Gratitude is a capacity. You can’t fake it, like you can’t fake riding a bicycle.
Appreciation is another capacity.

Appreciation means: seeing value. Gratitude means: acknowledging value.

There are three levels of values:
  1. Cultural or systemic values. 80% of people see those. They are different culture by culture. But most of them are universal… meaning they are in all cultures… These values are binary, like an on/off switch. These are the “two drawers” the book The Art of Hunting Humans talks about, loser/winner, sad/happy, good/bad, useful/useless, smart/stupid, right/wrong, etc.
  2. The second tear is the value, extrinsic value, the use value humans place on things: they are personal values, mostly… They are closer to what people pay for, with money or reciprocation: tasty (food), a nice conversation (companionship), useful, interesting, beneficial, etc.A bowl of soup, a wedding ring, a Thanksgiving dinner, a nice conversation…Anything will have, albeit not acknowledged, not noticed value on all three levels.
  3. The third level is the godlike level, the intrinsic level, and most people don’t notice it, don’t value it, don’t provide it… Even if they know the words… but they are like appreciation: you can say the word as much as you want, the word does not create appreciation, the capacity creates the being. The capacity of appreciation is, like everything in reality, can be expressed in percentages… capacity not on is zero, fully open is 100.

It is one thing to appreciate the obvious, and quite another thing to appreciate what is not obvious… because in the moment it is not visible yet where the value is, or it doesn’t FEEL GOOD…

Too much, too strong focusing on systemic value robs a person of their ability to have spiritual, third level, godlike capacities: generosity, love, enthusiasm, creativity, intuitive, etc. Continue reading “Why you can’t see, don’t see value… what is in the way?”

The battle to death of the virtues and the vices…

  • aristotele's golden meanI have been reading articles, studies, even books to get more effective at teaching you. Yesterday I learned some new words for my accurate vocabulary:
  • intellectual virtues/intellectual vices
  • character virtues/character vices
  • physical virtues/physical vices

In my field… self-evolution, self-improvement, self-growth, one of the things I am seeing makes my stomach turn: a widespread phenomenon of being a Milque Toast… i.e. squeamish, i.e. looking only at the bright side of things.

If you tell someone a thousands things to be, VIRTUES, and they manage to be that way, you can raise their numbers, consciousness, vibration, etc. maybe 10%. ugh… very ineffective. Continue reading “The battle to death of the virtues and the vices…”

Are you a dabbler, a sampler, an “I’ll try that” person?

One characteristic of the 99% is that they don’t heed Alexander Pope’s warning:

“A little learning is a dang’rous thing; / Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring.” 1

This behavior even characterizes the 99% of the One Percent.

Why is being a taster, a dabbler, a person who samples, tries out, but never drinks deep from anything keeps you from joining the 1%? Continue reading “Are you a dabbler, a sampler, an “I’ll try that” person?”

Yesterday’s enlightenment is today’s pretense

Yesterday’s enlightenment is today’s pretense
  • enlightenment... I have itYesterday’s transformation is today’s arrogance
  • Yesterday’s glimpse of the truth is today’s guilty feeling
  • Yesterday’s ‘enlightenment’ is today’s pretense

You may not be able to see it on gurus… but I can. Gurus are liars… because they share an incident in their past that doesn’t go beyond that moment…

But repeating that incident is impossible… and you don’t know how it happened… like a past life memory, or any other insight. The mechanism is hidden from our view. Continue reading “Yesterday’s enlightenment is today’s pretense”

Magic Bullet… How To Make a Miracle

You wave your magic wand, and bada bing bada bang, a little magic dust, and you have a miracle.

  • Or you take a little pill, and you wake up beautiful, slim, sexy, and rich.
  • Or you pray that God gives you a miracle
  • Or you meditate
  • Or you buy that get-rich-quick scheme that promises overnight money with no work at all
  • Or you play it over and over in the theater of your mind… You feel it… you appreciate everything… still…

But all these don’t cause a miracle.

No matter how skillfully you wave the wand, or how fancy (and expensive) the little pill is, how passionately you pray… etc. etc. etc.

No. none of them work.
