Gratitude, appreciation is a context. even coherence

You either live in a context you create, or you live in a context that is given to you.

The more you live in a context created by you the more you have a Self.

It can even be said: Self is a context… or maybe it is the sum total of the contexts you live in, you live through.

The reason my own numbers are consistent is because I live my whole life, public, private, unconscious, even my dreams, out of a consistent sets of contexts: gratitude, appreciation, expanding, service, joy, curiosity, flying the spirit, etc. Continue reading “Gratitude, appreciation is a context. even coherence”

Intelligence hold conflicting ideas in the mind and function

The quote “The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.” points to a very important capacity: the capacity of TLB.

TLB is your twitchy little bastard score. Twitchy shows to what degree you are able (and willing) to bring your beingness, your actions, your reactions under your own control. Whether you’ll flinch, twitch, argue, attack, defend yourself, justify, explain, talk talk talk… or not.

It is, ultimately a function of intelligence. How?

Your reaction is literally the result of you not being able to hold two opposing ideas.

It means that you are stuck on the lowest rang of values, the systemic values, it is either this or that, it is either me or you, it is either I am a victim or I am the victor.

Ultimately it’s a maturing process… but growing in years doesn’t necessarily mean you have grown in wisdom. Continue reading “Intelligence hold conflicting ideas in the mind and function”

Ad speak… what are you hiding? What is ad-speak?

Ad speak… what are you hiding?

If you want to get the context of this article fully, read my comment exchange with Kathryn.

Kathryn has been an on and off student for quite some time.

She alternates between loving me, and hating me. Normal, right? Then she puts it all on loud speaker for all to hear.

Not for a second is she aware that she is broadcasting her view, not the truth. Continue reading “Ad speak… what are you hiding? What is ad-speak?”

The best way to predict the future is to create it

I have written extensively about the fact that you want someone else to wipe your ass…

OK, not literally, not factually, but in essence.

One of the areas where this is completely clear is the number of people who want to be entrepreneurs, they want to own and run a business, but the above attitude is in their way.

It is a whole different thing to take a job, even to freelance, even to be self-employed, and creating and running a business.

I have two brothers. Both shied away from that option: they preferred a situation where someone else buys the chair, the computer, the software, the solutions, the bookkeeping, the location, the everything… and they just do the work, however many hours a day, and get paid.

It drives me bonkers to hear the expression, so and so business owner did this and that, to give back to the community.

Give back what? Continue reading “The best way to predict the future is to create it”

Who are your customers? You don’t have any? Think again!

You have customers. Many. You have ‘vendor-customer’ relationship with them.

It takes intellectual intelligence (the one the IQ tests test) to see this. It has nothing to do with being stingy, or emotionally unevolved.

So let’s have this conversation now to cause a sudden rise in your intelligence, and potentially a sudden rise in your income, your popularity, your street value.

The story behind this knowledge comes from 1991-1992.

I was a student in Werner Erhard and Associates in 1991, when Werner appeared on 60 minutes and consequently had to leave the country, his company, and go into exile.

He sold the company to its employees, and the company faltered. It always happens when the vision of the company wasn’t shared between owner and staff.

Selfish? let’s look at selfish, let’s look at unselfish

Life is best when it is lived where what you want for yourself is a side effect.

For half of humanity that sounds like liberal nonsense… but this is how life becomes the most enjoyable, and maybe the most ‘life-earning’ as well, in spite of it being counter intuitive.

And this is true in every area of life…

I can’t write a better article on this than Zat Rana on Medium.

What I can write best about is the wretchedness of going straight for what you want, and quitting when anyone else benefits… And I can share how this… getting what I need as a side effect, consciously, has been one of the secrets of my inner peace, fulfillment, and happiness. Continue reading “Selfish? let’s look at selfish, let’s look at unselfish”

Why do we have an ego? how can we make it useful?

Why do we have an ego, and how can we make it really useful? You don’t have any part that is not useful!

I just had a ‘conversation’ with a student, where I suggested that she uses ego to support her growth.

From her answers it has become clear that ‘using ego’ is not a commonplace conversation, and that it needs instruction.

Culture condemns ego… as if it were a bad thing.

So let’s see what ego is, and what it isn’t.

Ego is a lot like a kitchen knife: you can use it for good, for useful, or for harm… kill with it. You can also use it to clean it under your nails… somewhat useful, but not the right tool… Continue reading “Why do we have an ego? how can we make it useful?”

The benefits, the drawbacks of a true empath coach

Most people, including coaches, are too wrapped up in their thoughts, in what they want, etc.

They cannot see outside of it… In essence they are locked into the nine dots… the famous exercise.

Here is another one I learned this morning, and I fell into the same nine dots trap…

A father and a son has a car accident. The emergency services take them to different hospitals given their injuries. Continue reading “The benefits, the drawbacks of a true empath coach”

In ancient Sparta culling and curating was the norm

Apothetae

Yesterday I sent an email to my Playground participants announcing that they are now graduates of that course.

I was really curious of their response… Often people’s response to me is what guides in my decision to accept them as clients or not.

Most requested to be put into the new Wednesday program I am starting this Wednesday. One student’s response is what triggered this article and a lengthy self-examination, and an exercise in formulating my principles who I teach in the future.

He said: Continue reading “In ancient Sparta culling and curating was the norm”
