Cluelessness is a strategy. As if you don’t look it isn’t

Cluelessness is a strategy…

cluelessnessCluelessness is a strategy to avoid having to take responsibility, to avoid owning that your results are your results. Failure is a result.

And because it is impossible to heal and eradicate something that’s hidden and ignored, this cluelessness hides what you consider some of your most important excuses for being nasty, hateful, angry, and slothful. Continue reading “Cluelessness is a strategy. As if you don’t look it isn’t”

Trying to change your worldview is like pissing in the wind…

Trying to change your worldview is like pissing in the wind…

trying to change your worldview is like pissing in the wind Some 50 years ago I had a boyfriend who was a philosophy student in Hungary. I typed up his dissertation, and misunderstood a word: because in my worldview the word he wrote didn’t exist…

I am editing my chapter in the upcoming Entrepreneur’s Code book and I just got an insight.

Anything that doesn’t agree with your worldview will show up differently that it’s intended, as the word I mistyped 50 years ago.

I watched a few videos over the weekend, my first weekend in a long time when I wasn’t booked one way or another, to lead a course, for example.

I intend to understand what is happening in the world, and what it is that I can do about it. Continue reading “Trying to change your worldview is like pissing in the wind…”

Emotional toughness, resilience can help you getting there

Emotional toughness, resilience can help you getting there

emotional resilience toughness high TLBDo you hate to learn new things because every time you do, it somehow tells you that you have been wrong? Or not enough? Not good enough?

Well, toughen up princess…

But otherwise it’s normal. I know.

As a child I lived across the street from my elementary school.

I was nearly seven when I went to school, I was born September 4. My mother held me back because I was so tiny. My brother was two years older.

On the first day of school… Continue reading “Emotional toughness, resilience can help you getting there”

What if we are all mentally ill? All of us depressed people

What if we are all mentally ill? All of us depressed people
mental illnessWhat if being fat, or a loser, a hapless never do well is a mental illness?

What if mental illness is lying?

I read this article on Medium this morning. The dude, Tim Denning recovered from anxiety he had for decades. A debilitating anxiety by testing himself in situations where he had been anxious, and proved to himself that he wasn’t anxious as a law, as a rule, sometimes he wasn’t.

So he asked himself two questions: What if mental illness is lying? What if mental illness is simply conditioned thinking?

These two questions changed his reality. Continue reading “What if we are all mentally ill? All of us depressed people”

A smart phone does not reverse the aging process…

A smart phone does not reverse the aging process…

entrepreneur or notI know, I know, I stole that subject line… but… it is so funny. It seem out of context but it isn’t… wait and see.

The line is from Brian Kurtz, marketing master, whose message still goes over my head. I have to confess: I am not a ‘real’ marketer, I just have things I can teach, I have things I can sell, and I do the best I can with what I have… but marketing? I still don’t amount there to much. Kindergarten level.

And that means that business, marketing, making money is never my ‘one thing’ to focus on, never my ‘one thing’ I hope I’ll have time to do, just isn’t.

My one thing is… Continue reading “A smart phone does not reverse the aging process…”

What’s the difference between homo sapiens and human being?

What’s the difference between homo sapiens and human being?

from homo sapiens to human beingSurprisingly the difference between homo sapiens and human being is in one and only one thing… and it is not a yes/no issue, nor a succeed or fail issue, it is a question of degrees.

How someone answers and then executes the answer to this question will depend on one and one one thing. Here is the question: Life itself is empty and meaning-free… What are you going to fill it with?

So you want to get a great life. You want to make a difference. You want to matter. You want to feel good about yourself. Some of you want to become Expanding Human Beings. Some of you want to become producers. Some of you want to become loving.

There is just a little problem with what you want. There is something there… and there is something missing.

Easy peasy you say… so let’s see.

Bad feelings… they are the best guidance

Bad feelings… they are the best guidance

bad feelingsFeeling… different feelings, if they are consciously felt, guide you in different ways. Acting on guidance is not jerky… it is deliberate… What is jerky is fixing.

Of course like with most important things, the words we use are, maybe intentionally, used to confound us, to give us no clarity.

It is useful to separate and distinguish feelings and emotions in that feelings are what you actually feel in your body, emotions are the meaning you gave to those feelings.

Margoczi, a Hungarian author, says that emotions are wholly and fully created by words. This is useful to consider, even if this is not exactly accurate, for the purposes of having a sense of power, a feeling of power, this is very useful.

What may be true is that if the feeling moves… Continue reading “Bad feelings… they are the best guidance”

Soaring together… a dream I have had all my life

Soaring together… a dream I have had all my life

soaringI am having second thoughts about sharing this information, because of what famous French novelist Stendhal said about love… and the fragility of love…

I made a dietary mistake on Monday. You know, the kind your voices not discounted. The voices that scream in your head: ‘you only live once‘… or maybe the way Madame de Pompadour said, lover of the French king Louis XV ‘Après moi, le deluge!‘ After me the flood… sloppy translation but you can get the gist… f*** it, I want to do what I want to do even if it destroys the earth… or my health. Who are you? Are you The Dude, or are you your name?

Who are you? Are you The Dude, or are you your name?

who are you?I just read an article in the Monday Morning Memo and I cringed. It hit me what b.s. is being propagated as wisdom.

As you have seen, if you have been with me for more than a week, you would know that I knock the idea of beliefs being important to your success in life. And after reading Roy Williams article, I am also going to start knocking the notion that the why is what’s important. Continue reading “Who are you? Are you The Dude, or are you your name?”

4 daily tasks… a revolutionary tool to happiness

4 daily tasks… a revolutionary tool to happiness

4 daily tasks: the future given present4 daily tasks: not what you need to do. instead what you see you can do for a future you decided to have.

In my case the future: being able to pick up and move countries without loss of productivity, loss of health, loss of income, loss of standard of living. Having an apartment, food, transportation, internet connection, mobile phone… the important things.

The four daily tasks are really a very useful tool.

An aside: what is a task? Anything that you can do in one sitting, not long enough even to have to get up to go to the bathroom. Even writing an article is a project that is made up of several tasks… idea, outlining, writing, editing, title, publishing. It may include even researching… Continue reading “4 daily tasks… a revolutionary tool to happiness”
