Why no one gets ‘choice’ in the Landmark Forum

Why no one gets ‘choice’ in the Landmark Forum
It seems everything is a learning curve. Or a ramp-up curve.

In a world where people resist learning anything, the ones that don’t resist are winners. Maybe even THE winners.

One of the things I notice is that when I sign up to a program, or buy a book, an equipment, I am excited. Until I get what I paid for. Then I am scared. Hesitant. Now comes the moment of truth.

It’s the 7 in my numerology, I think, trust. Trust in myself, mainly.

I don’t think the issue is limited to 7… Everyone has their own ‘reason’ to not pursue what they thought they wanted. 5’s, for example may have a weak ability to hold a vision of the future…

Whatever is standing between you consistently pursuing what you said you wanted is the most important thing, maybe even the one-thing that you should never forget to attend to. Continue reading “Why no one gets ‘choice’ in the Landmark Forum”

A misunderstanding that clips a lot of people’s wings

A misunderstanding that clips a lot of people’s wings

pursuit of happiness guarantees miseryThere is a misunderstanding of how things work that clips a lot of people’s wings.

It comes from the ‘goalsetting culture’ that has proven itself a misery-maker. Being motivated with what you want…

You commit to a result.

But results are outside of your power. They will either happen if you do the right steps or they won’t.

Life is a lot more complicated than boiling water. You can promise that water will boil if you manage to give it enough heat that it reaches its boiling point. But if your promises are in that sphere of predictable, then you are not going to amount to much: you probably live a life of quiet desperation.

Anything you pursue is running from you.

The reason that of all the people on Earth the people of the United States are the most wretched is because of their pursuit of happiness. Continue reading “A misunderstanding that clips a lot of people’s wings”

Questions that turn on your power, your personal power

Questions that turn on your power, your personal power

What are the questions that awaken and pull things to yourself to become cause? To get access to your personal power?

Agreement 1: Be Impeccable With Your Word: question: was I impeccable with my word?
Agreement 2: Don’t Take Anything Personally: question: did I take something personally?
Agreement 3: Don’t Make Assumptions. question: did I make an assumption?
Agreement 4: Always Do Your Best. question: did I do my best?

more questions to ask:

  • What could I be responsible for to get access to power?
  • What am I doing?
  • what am I assuming/thinking?
  • What am I taking personally?
  • what is my attitude?
  • What am I expecting?
  • What am I going for/intention?
  • how wide am I looking?
  • What am I stingy about?
  • where am I erring on the side of ‘it’s my way or the highway’?

Until you get responsibility good and going, nothing else can change in your life. Continue reading “Questions that turn on your power, your personal power”

Fix Broken Sh!t First… AKA: remove what is broken

Fix Broken Sh!t First… AKA: remove what is broken

Fix Broken Sh!t First; I got an email with that title this morning, so I am using it. This is the perfect title for this article…

You see, human nature is weird… It tries to fix everything by throwing stuff at it making it more broken. Add stuff…

When you have indigestion, or when you are sick, or when you are tired… You want to put food on it. You buy stuff… You throw sex on it. Coffee on it. Complaining on it. The kitchen sink on it.

I have noticed that anything anyone says about you or your stuff triggers a self-protection mechanism, as if you have anything about you that is not perfect means you are wrong, or don’t deserve to live, or maybe deserve to die.

Totally out of proportion reaction to the size of the threat. Continue reading “Fix Broken Sh!t First… AKA: remove what is broken”

Being open is the hardest but most profitable ways to be

Being open is the hardest but most profitable ways to be

being open and vulnerableAbout a year ago I bought into a business coaching program where there are several calls a week with different coaches, and, for the most part, I think it is not a good program. Why?

I have been seeing that the coaches look at the program where their job is to say what they have to say… So when you really look there is a them and us, them and me separation… they are up there, and I am down here… and I have a few jobs: 1. admire them 2. participate if asked so they can sound even more awesome 3. if possible, talk only when what I have to say is ‘I bought this thing from this coach and it is awesome’ like a ‘witnessing’.

And the participants, about a hundred people, only want to hear what ‘the coaches’ have to say, like in a church. The coaches are the deity… and you are the whatever they call the true believers… I’ve never really been one. Maybe a little bit in Landmark Education? Still stuck at the bottom after so many years?

Still stuck at the bottom after so many years?

when you are stuckI have clients and students who have been in touch, buying stuff or courses since the beginning. That means about 10 years.

There is a certain kinship between us… they look out for me, they consider me, in addition to be their teacher, they consider me someone they want to be well, want to live long, want to succeed.

It is a very interesting experience for the teacher, because often the only thing that makes people listen is the authority the teacher has, by virtue of some achievement. So when they come to me with an idea to help me, I have to go through a process taming my ‘ego’ that wants to stay i the upper position. I ultimately manage to say: they are doing this because they love me… whether it is true or not, ego is willing to listen. Continue reading “Still stuck at the bottom after so many years?”

The foolproof path to NOT having a life worth living

The foolproof path to NOT having a life worth living

a life worth livingToday’s article deals with what makes life good, what makes life worth living… and what doesn’t…

No exceptions… by the way. So let’s start: Humans want something to thrive for… humans want to feel that tomorrow will be better than today. When they can’t feel it, they feel that life isn’t good. But how to have a life worth living?

The totally unorthodox way to set a direction for your life that works better than anything I have ever observed

What I set up for myself back in 1997 is still working, and working well.

Another one that I set about three years ago still has power, so I won’t be able to use my own example… I’ll have to use clients’ examples… Continue reading “The foolproof path to NOT having a life worth living”

Is ego physical? Energetic? Spiritual? Woowoo? WTF is ego?

Is ego physical? Energetic? Spiritual? Woowoo? WTF is ego?

egoI spent the last two hours working on the page that explains what the starting point measurement numbers mean about you.

And, almost predictably, today’s Monday Morning Memo by Roy H. Williams addresses some of those. No coincidences in the world… if you have a wide enough cone of vision you’ll know that.

Yesterday, Sunday I spent 90 minutes on my Sunday call with Mike, a dude who is about as different from me as a person can get, politically, spiritually, intellectually, in every way.

It got really bad during the Trump administration… and hadn’t I managed to change myself, it would be really bad now.

I am neither liberal nor conservative. I care about everyone… but I am not into giving favors to anyone. Neither the needy nor the greedy. About 10% of the USA population is like me… Caught in the middle. Continue reading “Is ego physical? Energetic? Spiritual? Woowoo? WTF is ego?”

The hamster method to win. It makes you a winner

The hamster method to win. It makes you a winner

Do you want to be a winner? or you prefer winning every argument, every task, everything? Both? OK. Use winner and winning like two walls the hamster uses to climb to the top.

With it, in no time you’ll become someone who wins consistently, and a winner

When I was in my last two years in high school, I did all my school work between 11 pm and 4 am. I got up when my parents went to bed, and the house got quiet.

The King David method… by the way. The way King David lived and worked.

My brother had a hamster… Continue reading “The hamster method to win. It makes you a winner”

Seeing: a Metaskill that will raise your vibration

Seeing: a Metaskill that will raise your vibration

new eyes to see...I am reading theĀ  book Metaskills.

I am reading it for you and for me.

This book has given me a big insight… and ultimately a breakthrough, though we shall see… like with everything, on the long run.

OK, let me start at the beginning.

Most books are either easy or difficult to read. Why? I just found out.

This book, the Metaskills was alternating between easy to read and difficult to read.

At some point it felt like thick mud I needed to wade through.

Why? I had no idea how what he was talking about was connecting to what the book was supposedly about.

I am nearly certain that this happens to you too. The thought is ‘What does this have to do with the price of tea in China?’ or some other dismissive thought.
