Being guided is the weirdest feeling you can imagine

Being guided is the weirdest feeling you can imagine

I remember, in the “Ultimate Leadership” course, being guided around land mines while my eyes were closed. The issue of trust, trusting my life to another human being was something I still have nightmares about today. The course was almost 10 years ago.

But in that exercise I knew the outcome, so I could keep it in my mind’s eye as “that’s what will be the result if all goes as planned.”

The planet’s smartest people have a narrow cone of vision

The planet’s smartest people have a narrow cone of vision

This is an article I reprinted because I found that it comes at the right juncture: where people are asked to decide if they are going to be the cause of their own evolution, or if they are going to assume the worry for themselves… Worry means no action. It’s a pretense. It is the only recourse of the cowardly, impotent, and ineffective.

The 150 Things the World’s Smartest People Are Afraid of

Afraid Of What? By Brian Merchant

vice_630x420Every year, the online magazine Edge–the so-called smartest website in the world, helmed by science impresario John Brockman–asks top scientists, technologists, writers, and academics to weigh in on a single question. This year, that query was “What Should We Be Worried About?”, and the idea was to identify new problems arising in science, tech, and culture that haven’t yet been widely recognized.

This year’s respondents include former presidents of the Royal Society, Nobel prize-winners, famous sci-fi authors, Nassem Nicholas Taleb, Brian Eno, and a bunch of top theoretical physicists, psychologists, and biologists. And the list is long. Like, book-length long. There are some 150 different things that worry 151 of the planet’s biggest brains. And I read about them all, so you don’t have to: here’s the Buzzfeedized version, with the money quote, title, or summary of the fear pulled out of each essay. Obviously, go read the rest if any of the below get you fretting too.

What are the 13 new capacities in the DNA Upgrade?

What are the 13 new capacities in the DNA Upgrade?

I wrote this article two years ago, in 2013. Today I use different words to express what I did then. I say, today, that capacities inherent in human DNA were activated… instead of added.

But other than that… this article is as good as new… With, or course the major difference, of publicly activating capacities and seeing if they are taken or not, if they are resisted and how.

In the two years or so before the DNA upgrade of September 4, 2013, my job was to coach people in activating their human being capacities, raise their vibration, access their soul’s guidance, and connect to Source.

In hindsight, I’d signed up to do failed experiments so Source can learn humans and the human condition intimately.

In the first phase, it became clear that you cannot activate capacities in people that are unconscious and are driven by dark desires, greed, and lust.

In the second phase it became clear that even with individual activation something was amiss: humans are not even able to see that they are a result of co-creation, and they cannot just hold out their hands and get what they think they need and want.

In the 3rd phase I worked out methods that could work if humans had some missing capacities added to their DNA.

Our story viewed as a detective story. Who put us on the path of self-destruction? And how can we return to the original path?

human beingLet me share with you how I get to bombastic statements like that: I have been going through some soul searching, and it’s been rough.

Working on two projects is upsetting the apple cart, which doesn’t feel very good, but is really good for me.

Unless you put yourself into a challenging situation, you have the illusion of growth, but it only becomes real when you are forced to use what you got… And then you know what you have… Like K., one of my students who is going on a 10-day visit with her mother and other relatives that have traditionally driven her crazy. We shall see if all the work, if all the activators, if the HOE long range will have created a new K. or not. And if not quite, what have we accomplished, and what more do we need to accomplish so she can have a good time, no matter what.

The most important three words to utter when you are stuck

The most important three words to utter when you are stuck

I need help“I need help”

Sometimes these magical words, said at the right time, said to the right person, will make all the difference.

Sometimes even if you just say it to yourself it makes a difference.

Yesterday, on the Path coaching call, two of the seven participants asked for help.

Rob Brezsny’s horoscope as context for spiritual practice

Rob Brezsny’s horoscope as context for spiritual practice

One excellent use of Rob Brezsny’s weekly horoscopes is to set a context for the week. The context that he recommends is always outside of the ordinary for you, and therefore it will have the potential to dig into the beyond, where all the power you lack and want comes from.

This is my horoscope for this week…

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): “This morning I walked to the place where the street-cleaners dump the rubbish,” wrote painter Vincent van Gogh in one his letters. “My God, it was beautiful.” Was he being ironic or sarcastic? Not at all. He was sincere. As an artist, he had trained himself to be intrigued by scenes that other people dismissed as ugly or irrelevant. His sense of wonder was fully awake. He could find meaning and even enchantment anywhere. Your next assignment, Virgo — should you choose to accept it — is to experiment with seeing the world as van Gogh did.

Now, how do you use a horoscope as a context of your life? Remember, this whole month will probably be about context…

Your key to this context are the sentences: “His sense of wonder was fully awake. He could find meaning and even enchantment anywhere”

Despair to get money fast, to get out of a bad situation?

Despair to get money fast, to get out of a bad situation?

Do you know that feeling of utter powerlessness when you don’t know how you are going to meet your obligations, like paying your rent, or feeding yourself or your family?

That feeling seems to come from reality, right? That feeling seems to be totally justified and an exact match to how you should feel, given what is the truth about life, your life, your circumstances especially, right?

What would you say if I told you that the feeling and the actions consistent with it, scrambling or non-action, are based on an unreality? Would you say I was crazy? Would you say I was delusional? Would you say that maybe in my case this could be true but not in yours?

I sympathize. I understand. I was just like you most of my life, and even today I am hovering on the border of being like you and being different.

Different how? You ask… good question. Well, for one, when the world seems to be tumbling down on me, I now have the wherewithal (a fancy word for capacity, lol. exact meaning: The money or other means needed for a particular purpose.) to stay put and look and think. Thinking in emergency situations, thinking when in trouble, used to be my Achilles heel. Why? Because the saying: ’emotions up, intelligence down,’ are very true, for everyone.

Unless you can regain or maintain your calm, and stay collected and intelligent under pressure, you are roadkill…

The Nature of Reality: Glimpses, reality, filters: why is the world the way world is… different for different people?

The Nature of Reality: Glimpses, reality, filters: why is the world the way world is… different for different people?

I had a rare glimpse at the nature of reality today.

It’s been happening quite some time, but I could never catch the why of it…

Imagine the scenario: you are playing a card game with 52 cards. No one is there to move the cards, just you, and you don’t cheat.

You get to a point where you are clear that you lost the game. So you go and make yourself a cup of tea, go to the bathroom, answer the phone… whatever.

About 10 minutes later you come back and look at the game. Before you close it, you just want to look at it again. And miracle: you suddenly see a way that, in three more steps, instead of losing, you’ll win this game.

You suspect divine intervention. You suspect miracle… but what happened, really? What is the “real” nature of reality?

Ever since I started to run the Harmonize Your Vibration audio in the background, I’ve been having miracles like this happen, several times a day… but this time I caught the “what happened” part, for the first time.

I caught the thoughts “it’s impossible…” and “I can’t…”

Dreams: scary dreams, guiding dreams, fear vs intuition

Dreams: scary dreams, guiding dreams, fear vs intuition

I use everything for guidance. My method of guidance is one of the magicians of The Soaring Method use for guidance. (Carlos Castaneda demonstrates it well in his Journey to Ixtlan… He calls the two, signs and omen.) But the inner guide, the intelligence that you need to develop and then communicate with, the part of you that sees with 360 degree cone of vision, sees the Big Picture. Your intellect, your eyes, your mind can only see a narrow cone of vision.

Being guided, to see the signs, takes awareness, sober awareness. You can’t be sheep: you need to stay aware and awake. Continue reading “Dreams: scary dreams, guiding dreams, fear vs intuition”

Intelligence vs Intellect… Shared Intelligence

Intelligence vs Intellect… Shared Intelligence

I have been on a roll this past few days… I have received all these insights. Amazing.

The last insight in this series is about intelligence.

I have discovered a few things, just today… listen up.

Intelligence is not yours. It is not mine. It is shared. It is like air: if you breathe, it is yours. If you hold your breath, it is not yours.

Imagine a kitchen sink. Most kitchen sinks are designed to be used by one person. If you want to wash dishes, no one can help you with the work: it is either you or them.

Same is with intelligence. Intelligence is waiting for your beck and call, meaning it is always available. You aren’t.

Why wouldn’t you? After all, intelligence is a lot smarter than you, it has your best interest in mind!

Unfortunately, your mind and your ego, your egomind can’t tolerate watching someone being smarter… better, cannot tolerate seeing someone winning, graceful… oh no! To the egomind it means that IT is less… and there is no way IT hell he will allow it. So egomind jumps in and attempts to do all the things, poorly, for the glory of doing it ITself.

Intelligence is not available when your mind and ego are there…

How did I discover this? Playing computer games. Egomind wants to play, win or lose it doesn’t matter to egomind, as long as it can be busy playing.

I have been training myself to step aside and allow intelligence to play (and win every time!) for about five years now. I have trained myself to be willing to catch when I want to force my will, and pull back.

What is the difference between intelligence and intellect?
