Who are your customers? You don’t have any? Think again!

Who are your customers? You don’t have any? Think again!
You have customers. Many. You have ‘vendor-customer’ relationship with them.

It takes intellectual intelligence (the one the IQ tests test) to see this. It has nothing to do with being stingy, or emotionally unevolved.

So let’s have this conversation now to cause a sudden rise in your intelligence, and potentially a sudden rise in your income, your popularity, your street value.

The story behind this knowledge comes from 1991-1992.

I was a student in Werner Erhard and Associates in 1991, when Werner appeared on 60 minutes and consequently had to leave the country, his company, and go into exile.

He sold the company to its employees, and the company faltered. It always happens when the vision of the company wasn’t shared between owner and staff.

Fighting your demons, expecting to win one day

Fighting your demons, expecting to win one day

You and I spend most of our lives trying to fix something that never happened. Not only that it wasn’t wrong… but it never actually happened. Something that was never factually true. Even though you keep telling the story as if it were true. And you don’t know that you are lying.

Some people call these demons… even though there are no demons… but nevertheless, using the expression: fighting your demons is very accurate, if you don’t believe that demons are entities. There are no entities in the visible or invisible Universe.

And yet we are fighting… I call it an itch… a compulsion… something that makes you weird.

The ITCH that tells you that unless you get what you say you didn’t get in that story, at whatever price, even extorting it, you cannot be OK. Continue reading “Fighting your demons, expecting to win one day”

Your attention span is a reliable indicator of how well you’ll do in life

If you are not where you want to be, one possible way you can improve your lot is by increasing your attention span.

Most people have a lot of aspects to their behavior and thinking that are at odds with being happy, successful, joyful people.

A whole lot. I measure most in my Starting Point Measurements.

So the natural inclination is to declare it hopeless. And the second natural inclination is to want to handle it all at once.

This is when people spend a lot of money in one sitting… and then don’t know what to do with them.

And some people, the rare specimen, who asks: how should I start? What shall I do first? Continue reading “Increase this number and all other numbers will rise with it”

What do you see? How do you see? same old same old?

What do you see? How do you see? same old same old?

wheere is the beefYour primary goal is to look

I once did a Landmark Education seminar where the main ‘mantra’ was (I paraphrase the funky Landmark Education language for you): ‘stand in front of what you can’t see, and keep on looking even though you can’t see anything

Most impatient people (that is most people) latch onto something irrelevant, and stop looking. They are like a dog with a bone… There is no hurry on the creative plane… only on the horizontal plane… what you can see easily is most likely irrelevant, and a sidetrack, preventing you from actually seeing what is important. The Scientific Approach to Ascension. Our IQ is dropping…

The Scientific Approach to Ascension. Our IQ is dropping…

I got a comment this morning on my article about the Mind Movies. Of course I am knocking the program and its creator.

The commenter says: Stop being an asshole and a bully. Promote your products without discrediting others.

But the principle: The Only Thing Necessary for the Triumph of Evil is that Good Men Do Nothing is also true about useless crap. You become part of evil when you remain silent

Why is the vibration of gurus so low? Why is their teaching ineffective?

What prevents you from getting what you want?

What prevents you from getting what you want?
When things don’t work, there is something that you don’t know.

One of the capacities an architect needs to possess (if they want to be a good architect) is being able to move their attention at will, and to widen and narrow their field of vision at will.

Interestingly, these are the capacities that are needed for a lot of professions, CPA, business leader, politician, scientist, movie maker, coach, and, although it is not a profession, for someone who wants to get out of the morass of the human condition, and onto the vertical plane of clarity, joy, fulfillment.

I won’t explain why you need these capacities for the professions although I could. Continue reading “What prevents you from getting what you want?”

How many balls, ideas, projects can you keep in the air?

How many balls, ideas, projects can you keep in the air?

One of the measures in my Starting Point Measurements is how many bits of information, how many balls you can keep in the air at the same time.

Most people can only keep one ball, reliably, in the air. The moment something better, exciting shows up, they drop it… If they start juggling two, they drop both off… Continue reading “How many balls, ideas, projects can you keep in the air?”

What robs you of the ability to be astute?

What robs you of the ability to be astute?

Astute, astuteness has a bad reputation… so do the words: selling, ambitious… or taking care of yourself. But it is unjust, in fact it is against Life.

But, unfortunately, we live in an age where being selfless seems like a virtue… but it isn’t a virtue, it is imposed upon us.

It is stupid and a learned ‘value’…

The best people in the world are selfish…

Selfish… meaning: they take care of themselves… instead of hoping that others will be selfless and take care of them. And then they can contribute… from being well and being taken care of.

No matter how many times people understand, on airplanes, that when the oxygen masks are dropped at them, they should put on their own first… and then assist others… Because they see it there, but the ability to see it everywhere would require a wider cone of vision than they have… Take care of yourself first doesn’t live like a distinction, it lives as an example that is true on airplanes. Changing your emotional state… to emotional intelligence

Changing your emotional state… to emotional intelligence
Causing yourself or another to change their emotional state

I say all emotions are caused by some words, written, spoken, or thought… the little voice…

But changing the words requires a higher level of self awareness, and therefore this article will talk about an easier method, many speakers, course leaders, coaches use in their practices, as a shortcut to changing your emotional state. What is the difference between ‘I am’ and ‘I have been’?

What is the difference between ‘I am’ and ‘I have been’? They both create yourself… but which is the right you?

I wrote this article almost two years ago, and suddenly it became as current as anything…

It is a great companion piece to my article for today: Continue reading “What is the difference between ‘I am’ and ‘I have been’?”
