Why Is It So Hard to Change? A look under the hood

Why Is It So Hard to Change? A look under the hood

changeWhy is it so difficult to change?

I am in the business of causing change… Causing you to cause change for yourself…

I, for a period of time, declared that the context of my life was to be an inspiring leader of leaders.

How did that go? Not very well, I must admit. Continue reading “Why Is It So Hard to Change? A look under the hood”

Have you chosen being at the mercy of luck?

Have you chosen being at the mercy of luck?
An entrepreneur is someone who takes their lives in their own hands…

…instead of expecting someone else to do most of what is needed for them: give them a job, a livelihood, tell them what to do, what to think, etc. Continue reading “Have you chosen being at the mercy of luck?”

How we spend our days is of course how we spend our lives…

How we spend our days is of course how we spend our lives…

I am reading a book, The One Thing. Tai Lopez recommended it, but I had been resisting.

But like most of the books Tai recommends, it does have a kernel of gold… Maybe more than one kernel.

One of these is what he says about will power. Quite fascinating and very useful. Continue reading “How we spend our days is of course how we spend our lives…”

If your life is manageable, you can’t and won’t grow

If your life is manageable, you can’t and won’t grow

The first step in AA, Alcoholics Anonymous says: We admitted that we were powerless over alcohol––that our lives had become unmanageable.

Whether you know it or not, that is the most important of all the steps. And of life… Continue reading “If your life is manageable, you can’t and won’t grow”

Are you dull? bored? boring? Too determined? Hellbent?

Are you dull? bored? boring? Too determined? Hellbent?

This is a post from 2016  that is suddenly relevant again.

I woke up early this morning. I spent, it seems, the whole night with hair-raising dreams… so it was good to get up.

Got up and came to my computer and posted some 45 podcast episodes from 2-3 years ago.

I listened to a few of them, and I was dumbfounded how much better I was back then, how many more things I had to talk about then… intelligently, interestingly, engagingly.

So I started to look what the heck changed that I am so much duller nowadays.

Is ‘talking about’ a type of mental illness?

Is ‘talking about’ a type of mental illness?

This morning something pulled me back to bed after I got up.

I considered it guidance, and I got back to bed.

What came next was amazing: trips down memory lane, all centering around mental illness, mental stability, your TLB, and what was in common among the many people I remember so clearly, people I spent time with in mental institutions.

As an empath, other people’s feelings, emotions tend to tug at me. today 99% of what I feel is not mine… But before I became conscious, before I started to climb the consciousness tree, 30% of the feelings I felt were mine. I also had a lot more voices in my head… all talking at the same time.

The only reason I know, with 20/20 hindsight, that I was hospitalized not for what I felt, is that none of the medication worked… I wasn’t the person who was crazy, I just felt the craziness of others.

My theory of mental illness has always been that it is an escape… a hiding place.

Why you want to be the stupidest person in the room

Why you want to be the stupidest person in the room

Oscar Wilde wrote, ‘…one has to choose between living one’s own life, fully, entirely, completely—or dragging out some false, shallow, degrading existence that the world in its hypocrisy demands.‘ The world demands that you always try to be the smartest person in the room…

I saw something today that can be important to for you to learn, because I don’t think you know. It is against everything you have ever thought…

Because it comes from intelligence, not from smart.

Being the stupidest person in the room is the most intelligent move you can ever make… Continue reading “Why you want to be the stupidest person in the room”

Is T. Harv Eker a better teacher than me?

Is T. Harv Eker a better teacher than me?

is t harv eker a better teacher than me?Is T. Harv Eker a better teacher than me? Will you make money like him if you do his courses?

Is what he teaches better than what I teach?

Yesterday I watched T. Harv Eker’s ‘Don’t Believe A Thought You Think’ presentation yesterday. He is funny, he knows how to teach.

He was spectacular. Everything he taught was taught well, and yet his presentation’s truth value was only 50%. It seems it is not only how you teach but WHAT you teach that will matter in the end.

Only? Most things on the market clock in at 10% or lower truth value. And yet, 50% means that 50% wasn’t true. Continue reading “Is T. Harv Eker a better teacher than me?”

What is the reason people don’t do much with their lives?

What is the reason people don’t do much with their lives?

success-will-never-be-a-big-stepI am in the middle of the Water Energizing Challenge, and that gives me an unprecedented insight into people I didn’t want… 🙁

I am seeing something I didn’t expect, but that is what I am getting: stinginess.

Holding back, dealing thing out in thimbles instead of buckets, love, work, faith, service, energy, everything. For one’s own self, and for others, for life.

Result: No abundance.

Abundance is the opposite of stinginess. Abundance means abandon, flowing, largeness… there is more where that came from. Energy, love, effort, faith… joy!

Even how you laugh: hahaha… but I hear you holding back. Scarcity shows in every movement, everything you do. Continue reading “What is the reason people don’t do much with their lives?”

What a one minute exercise reveals about you?

What a one minute exercise reveals about you?

What do your emotions and behavior hide?

Your behaviors, your feelings and emotions are the tip of the iceberg, hiding the below water part, your attitudes. Your attitude to anything…

Here is the exercise: Close your eyes and imagine a bowl of cherries in front of you. It’s all for you. No competition. Or a box of chocolates if that fits you better.

How do you eat your cherries?

You reach out and take a cherry, or whatever you have in front of you.

  • Did you take the largest, most ripe cherry? The best of all the chocolates?
  • Did you take the puny little cherry first? The kind of chocolate you don’t really like?
  • Did you just take any of the cherries, without looking if it is big, plump, or puny?

The underlying attitude shows clearly on your behavior.
