Angry? Frustrated? Anxious? Ask: Does this benefit me?

anxiety-and-careerYou get angry, you get frustrated, you get anxious, you get jealous… you name it, the emotions pop up and you have nothing to do about them.

But… and this is a BIG but: A normal emotion comes and goes, like clouds on a windy day. Com and go… sunny, cloudy, sunny, cloudy.

Emotions and feelings are energies, and energy’s nature is to move. If they don’t, you have the static electricity thing going: and because energy MUST move, it will explode… like lightning.

You just have to hold onto the emotion by resisting it.

After all most emotions don’t feel good. I even dare say: held-onto emotions don’t feel good… even if it is happiness you are holding onto.

It’s like laughter: it is great. It is a great release. It is invigorating.

The secret of saying no

Kissinger_Time
This is from the Monday Morning Memo:

Years ago, when Henry Kissinger was one of the most admired men in America, my friend Ronnie mistakenly dove into the shallow end of a hotel pool late one night and scraped his scalp pretty badly. Holding his hand over it, he staggered into that little room where they keep the ice machine. The man who turned to see who had walked in was Henry Kissinger.

“Mr. Kissinger,” exclaimed Ronnie, “you’re one of three people I’ve always dreamed of asking for advice.”

“No,” said Kissinger.

The magic of falling in step with life…

drum circle... unites you with All-of-itOne of my defining experiences happened in 2003 in New York City.

I was invited to a huge drum circle. The experience of being part of something larger than yourself is the most inspiring “big picture” of your life, and if you can feel it, hear it, sense it, then it can be recalled and inspire till the rest of your days.

Here is a video that was shot in many places in the world, where the musicians played both locally and on the internet, making music, like a drum circle through the internet.

When you lose sight of the big picture of your life

mahatma-gandhi-about-humanity-3This is follow-up to the Cycles of life article, aka the depression article.

The biggest picture is so big, that your whole life fits in there, with every aspect of it.

For example health: the reason to be healthy so you can accomplish YOUR big picture. No heath, no energy, no big picture.

You need to ask the question: what do I want to use my life for? Your big picture is up to you. But beware that if it is too big, or inauthentic, you will cause yourself suffering.

As I wrote in an earlier post this week, I have been depressed. I have lost the reason to live.

While I was writing the article, I managed to dispel the pitch black darkness, but I was still hovering over and above depression, so I wasn’t quite back in loving life, yet.

Doctor Who… how the doctor lost sight once

doctor1

Why I love all the Doctors
I love Doctor Who… My favorite thing about the doctor is that he never forgets, never loses sight of the big picture… almost never.
In one of the episodes he does… and it is the episode I go back, and watch it again. To watch the transformation back and forth from doctor to stupid earthbound human back to doctor.
The Doctor is the best illustration I have for living out of the Observer, the Watcher… the part of you that doesn’t get entangled… that doesn’t lose sight of what you are about, what it is about. Brilliant.
1: Because he’s adorable when embarrassed, he’s always learning and growing, and he’s still very much a Time Lord.  Because he’s got precisely the reverse of Matt Smith going on: he’s young by the standards of his own species but old by ours, and it creates the most fascinating dynamic.

One principle of becoming a Human Being, that if you miss this, you’ll never raise your vibration

What is the difference between a worker and a manager?
What is the difference between the leader and a manager?
What is the difference between leading your life and managing your life?
What is the difference between working in your business and working ON your business?

The answer to all of these question is: the position from where the actions come.

By position I actually MEAN an almost physical position: where are you looking FROM when you make your decisions about what to do.

A lot of my students are stuck in a situation an earlier decision got them into. A bad marriage, bad health, bed relationship, bad job.

There are surprisingly few principles for a human being, which is the next evolutionary level after human. Applying the same principles, honoring them, will also take you to the new evolutionary level.

One of the principles is to make decisions from the whole. Continue reading “One principle of becoming a Human Being, that if you miss this, you’ll never raise your vibration”

Advising, giving advice, helping and the evil eye

people-helping-ducklingsUnless it’s your job to give advice, don’t.

Why? Because giving advice comes from your shadow side, from your dark side.

How? When you give advice, you place yourself above the other person. Giving advice is asserting your superiority.

Have you noticed that you can get fired for that? Even if your advice is right on the spot…

By the way: this is true for healers, coaches, salespeople, helpers, charity volunteers, parents, relatives, everyone.

The cycles of energy: the will to live and its cycles

bipolar cycleSinatra described himself as ‘an 18 karat manic-depressive’, and claimed he had ‘lived a life of violent emotional contradictions’. “I have an over-acute capacity for sadness as well as elation,” he added, hinting at one of the classic symptoms of bipolar disorder.

As I have said in other articles before, we have several cycles going on in our lives.

What I didn’t say about the cycles is this: earliest incidents of disappointment, pain, abuse, loss may create them. The length of the cycle is fixed, and it is correlated to the age when the incident happened. Continue reading “The cycles of energy: the will to live and its cycles”

We all walk around with veils in front of our eyes.

veil

Warning: this article is a little sloppy… in time I’ll clean it up. I just wanted to get it out. Enjoy.

We tend to see the same thing over and over. It is called: already always listening. Or sometimes it is called “a seeming”. And yet other times it is called prejudice. Continue reading “We all walk around with veils in front of our eyes.”
