Soul Correction: Slighted

slighted-she-was-trusted-and-valued-by-her-father-lovedSlighted is an optical illusion where you see that everyone else, or a certain group has everything that should belong to you.

I was doing the soul correction reading of a person yesterday who hates Jews, yet, married a Jew.

Her hate (Soul correction: Removing Hatred) is based on feeling slighted, and finding a cause outside of herself to blame.

Another soul correction that has this feeling ‘slighted’ as a foundation is “Share the Light”.

Have you ever noticed… what hope is doing to you?

whores... selling the now for a future that may never happenYou have your eyes on something. Something that is currently out of reach. It either take work, time, or money to get it. Time passes, you do the work, you get the money, you buy it… and then something totally unexpected happens: you don’t want it. You don’t want to use it…

Another version of the same thing, just in a different arena: you want a person to love you. You long for it. You court them. You buy them gifts, or do nice things to them. Then, when they say they love you and want you… the bottom falls out. You suddenly don’t want it.

But why would such a horrible thing be a daily occurrence?

Osho: Self-knowledge is the most difficult thing – because you are scared to know about yourself

Osho on self-knowledgeYesterday I wrote about the “nut” that unless you break it and see what’s in it, your life will be lived out in the misery of duality. There is help available, here, because you need someone who is ruthlessly compassionate.

Of course you want someone who’ll console you, who’ll coddle you, but if you really want to get to the other side of it, and start the process of becoming real, you need someone who doesn’t buy into your fantasy about yourself, that even you know it’s a fantasy.

I, honestly, don’t expect any of you to be ready. It’s not a rate thing, I could offer it for free, and you wouldn’t be interested enough to come.

The Playground was a long version of this process, and a total of three-four people attended regularly. Of course there I didn’t tell people what was required of them… maybe I didn’t really know… I only realized the significance after 2-3 months passed.

Here is an Osho talk, talking about this exact topic. Enjoy.

Self-knowledge is the most difficult thing – not because it is difficult, but because you are scared to know about yourself. A deep fear exists. Everybody is trying to escape, escape from himself. This fear has to be understood. And if this fear exists, whatsoever you do will not be of much help. You may think that you want to know yourself, but if this unconscious fear is there you will continuously avoid, you will continuously try to hide, deceive. On the one hand you will try to know yourself, and on the other hand you will create all sorts of hindrances so that you cannot know.

There is no way around it, only through it

funny but not true: hell is other people before coffeeHumans have been living on their periphery, through their organs of perception that look outward, through their periphery, the life that we call the horizontal plane.

On the horizontal plane what you see is the other. You don’t see yourself. You may feel your body, you may feel your feelings, but you don’t see yourself.

You see your effect on others. You see the other, that may be a reflection of you… if you can recognize it as such.

Osho: Self-knowledge is the most difficult thing

Osho and self-knowledge

People ask my why I discontinued the Playground.

After all I loved that program… so why not continue indefinitely.

Two reasons: 1. There were only four participants. But that is not enough reason. 2. The Playground is a knowing yourself program, but knowing yourself needs to be done by you, not by me. People kept coming, but they didn’t continue the work of getting to know themselves at home, in their own time… So all that “self-knowledge” work I did with them was wasted.

Why? Because stronger forces won… You’ll see in this amazing talk, 40 years ago by Osho.

What’s wrong with my Wife?
29 August 1974 am in Buddha Hall THE NINTH SAYING

JESUS SAID: THE MOTE THAT IS IN THY BROTHER’S EYE THOU SEEST, BUT THE BEAM THAT IS IN THINE EYE THOU SEEST NOT. WHEN THOU CASTEST THE BEAM OUT OF THINE EYE, THEN THOU WILT SEE CLEARLY TO CAST THE MOTE OUT OF THY BROTHER’S EYE.

Self-knowledge is the most difficult thing – not because it is difficult, but because you are scared to know about yourself.

Updated: Remove negativity, eliminate negativity: is that a good thing?

peanut-butter-remove-negativityNegativity is a buzz word. It makes half of what is wrong, and it makes half of what is right. Much like the farmer in one of Osho’s stories, who wanted to teach god how to have the weather…

A farmer who, after a poor harvest, complained: “If God let me control the weather, everything would be better. He apparently doesn’t know much about farming.”

Soul correction: Revealing the hidden

revealing-the-hiddenWe could say that people with this soul correction stop at the surface, if there were no other dimension. Paper thin reality is where they fancy they live, where things are what they appear to be.

But reality is more like an iceberg: every spot goes deep below the visible, several layers, into the dark depths of the ocean.

Living on the surface, considering the visible to be all there is, gives you a life that is as vulnerable as it gets. You are not dealing with it all.

A reader asks: Isn’t inventing a being pretending?

A reader asks: Isn’t inventing a being pretending?

pretending-to-be-happy-2Hi Sophie – I need some clarifications ..

Isn’t inventing a being the same as pretending?

Is the goal to have the being be the ‘inventing being’? ..someone who can be any being? i.e caring, happy, courageous etc.

What kind of being do I invent when 99% of the population is there to make me feel bad?

Thanks! Continue reading “A reader asks: Isn’t inventing a being pretending?”

Beingness and being, is there a difference?

Beingness and being, is there a difference?

being free regardless of the circumstancesBeing: The state or quality of being being; existence is a tricky word, in every language I know. We use it as if it were cheap, inconsequential, but that misuse causes mischief.

When you say ‘I am depressed’ instead of ‘I feel depressed’, without knowing that there is a difference, you, unwittingly, practice self-definition.

You can feel a lot of things. Feelings and emotions have a normal tendency, that when not resisted, they move. They change. They morph from one feeling to another.
