Confidence? overconfidence? confident or overconfident?

Confidence? overconfidence? confident or overconfident?

the dunning krueger effect of overconfidenceAn open and well-reasoned person might be very wrong, even if they’re rightfully confident. A falsely confident person could well be right, even if their confidence is false. Confidence is a feeling, a state of mind, and a way of presenting oneself. It isn’t in itself a good measure of correctness.

False Confidence, overconfidence, confident or overconfident… What is the measure of correctness?

The measure of correctness, (from value science, Axiology,) is clarity. You can be visible, clear and crystal clear. These are categories of how accurately you see reality.

Awareness: what the heck is that? A word… OK. But what does it mean?

Awareness: what the heck is that? A word… OK. But what does it mean?

It is said that awareness 1 , the awareness factor is the best predictor of someone’s chances for success.

Simply put: your awareness is a measure that expresses how far your head is out of your anus, and how much of what you see, hear, feel reaches your conscious awareness and triggers an APPROPRIATE response there.

That is quite a mouthful, right? So to make it easier, I am going to speak computer language… if you don’t understand, I am sorry. I use many different analogies later on in this article, so just hang in there… OK?

The brain receives all the signals the sensory organs provide, but is selective about bringing it to the conscious, because of bandwidth limitations. Continue reading “Awareness: what the heck is that? A word… OK. But what does it mean?”

No man is an island. You need others if you want to succeed… How to get people on your team

No man is an island. You need others if you want to succeed… How to get people on your team

One of my students said to me: “you are like a scientist. And yet so much of your work lies in the realm of the not easily measured.

I have always had a difficulty answering the question: What do you do?

Defining what you do is important. To whom? To you: if you want support. Unless THEY know what you do, they don’t know if they are aligned with what you do or not…

It is a need and a must to “meet the expectation of others”. It is a survival need. You can’t skip it.

Depending on what stage of personal evolution you are, it may be a lot more important to you than meeting your own expectation.

Judge, Pre-judge people? It’s a cognitive bias…
blind-justice prejudiceJudge, Pre-judge people? Pre-judging is a cognitive bias… how to avoid making stupid value judgments…

Our prejudices often rob us from seeing what is in front of us.

Prejudice is a simple two-part word: pre-judge. Meaning: judge from some simple criteria, like the color of someone’s skin, the strength of their grammar, their clothing, or whether they curse or not.

And then we stop looking, because the judgment is already there: this or that.

Pre-judging is a cognitive bias, it is the mind’s attempt to save you time. It is accurate for our purposes of survival, about 60% of the time. 40% of the time it is inaccurate, and leads to stupid, self-defeating decisions.

Most people get married based on a the 40%, hire people, buy stuff, or not buy, reject perfectly good matches. Continue reading “Judge, Pre-judge people? It’s a cognitive bias…”

Clarity – a great distinction, a great inquiry…

Clarity

A friend of mine, internet marketer, and an all over nice guy, is starting a brand new business. It is to create a promotional package for people who want to be considered experts in any field.

What he is doing could be incredibly valuable. What he is doing is this: giving people a chance to get to clarity. Continue reading “Clarity – a great distinction, a great inquiry…”

Happiness is when what you think, say, and do are in harmony

Happiness is when what you think, say, and do are in harmony

If you look, carefully, now you know why you are not happy.

Here is another quote: People get married because they want their lives witnessed. When your life is witnessed you feel alive… I was par phrasing the Susan Sarandon character’s words in “Shall we Dance?”

The best way to make sure you are on the path to happiness… is actually to be in a coaching program.

In my 67 step coaching program I witness your life.

Obviously, if you don’t care what I see: if you don’t care that I see that there is no harmony in what you think, what you say and what you do, then it is not really doing much for you…

If you don’t care… Continue reading “Happiness is when what you think, say, and do are in harmony”

How The Tree of Knowledge goes against nature…

How The Tree of Knowledge goes against nature…

sensations-the-need-for-a-new-scienceHow The Tree of Knowledge goes against nature… on the level of individual. Case studies

The insights of this article came from participants. The insights could not have come without participants looking at their behavior and attitude from the sensations perspective, which is the Tree of Life, working with what nature intended.

On a sidenote: I don’t think nature intended 99% of humans to be obsolete and be replaced by Artificial Intelligence. I think nature intended evolution on a more human trajectory.

But back to what we have discovered, what we have observed, what we have gleaned.

First off: I will begin calling the feelings that come through the senses: Sensations. I think that the book should be re-christened as well… but it is really not up to me.

I’ll organize the observations by the soul correction… but you may find your limiting behavior in any soul correction. Continue reading “How The Tree of Knowledge goes against nature…”

90%-95% of everything is mechanics, the grind…

vision boardingI wasn’t going to write an article today.

I had four calls yesterday, and I expected myself to be tired, and running on empty.

But I am well. Not tired. The Days of Power must be really working… lol.

The fear, the uncertainty is never quite extinguished in a healthy brain: nothing is certain… even what you see or feel can be mirages.

Anyway, I am putzing around, and find an old Landmark Education notebook… and it triggers an issue I will need to deal with.

The ground of your being comes from where you live

The ground of your being comes from where you live

life on the 14th floor: words and more wordsWhen you live on the 14th-15th floors of your being, the ground of your being comes from there too.

Let’s first look what is the ground of your being, the floor on which everything is built that is compatible with that floor.

On the 13th floor the ruler is Life. Nature. The Universe. No interpretation. Life, nature, the universe gives you your actions, your attitudes, your interpretation of events.

Virtues live on the 13th floor, because virtues are a Yes to life. Anything gets evaluated by that question: is it a Yes to life or a no to life.

Is it part of the flow, or is it a blockage to the flow. Blockages need to go. Attitudes, needs, wants, habits, activities that are a no to life, that don’t fit the flow of life, Nature, the Universe, must go, because it is evil. Against life. The non-physical pain of being devalued…

The non-physical pain of being devalued…

There is a very interesting phenomenon and I just experienced it full blast.

This is how it goes: I write something. I think I know what i am saying. but hours later it hits me… wow.

So I wrote in my previous article, this morning, that all pain and suffering you experience is experiencing your own resistance… resistance coming from the 14th floor words: “This should not be…”

And most non-physical pain you experience comes from the devaluation of the I… or the perceived devaluation… and the feedback that is causing it is resisted.

So, consequently all non-physical pain comes from your resistance to feedback.

OK… I said more or less this… but how true and how general it is just hit me.

Here I am sitting by my computer, wondering when the mailman will arrive today. I have something outgoing…
