How could you become ready to grow? Wanna find out?

I am not ready to grow upI am using Rob Brezsny’s words here… maybe his English communicates better than mine:

ANTI-INSTRUCTIONS

Exaggerate your flaws till they turn into virtues Pretend your wounds are exotic tattoos. Refuse the gifts that infringe on your freedom. Shun sacred places that fill you with boredom. Keep in mind it’s bad luck to be superstitious. The official story’s always fictitious. Pump up your karma with idiot laughter. The promised land’s here, not in some hereafter

We are searching for the answers so we can destroy them and dream up better questions

Here are two attitudes that will be useful, invaluable, and mandatory if you want to grow through my programs

The poisonous tree that you are. What can you do about it?

nothing-in-life-is-to-be-fearedNothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less. —Marie Curie, Our Precarious Habitat

The ‘What’s The Truth About You’ workshop series is kicking off this afternoon.

As usual I haven’t done any preparation: I never do. I like my life, I like my teaching fluid. Freezing it would be to ignore guidance, stop growing, and start becoming a sculpture on a pedestal.

I slept well last night. I had a ton of guiding dreams. All about what I am trying to do in the workshop this afternoon: take you over the threshold between human and human being. Continue reading “The poisonous tree that you are. What can you do about it?”

Do you feel banged up? By life, by people? Listen up!

STOP GETTING IN YOUR OWN WAYWhen Tai asks you, what is in the way of you growing, and starting to live the good life, most people have a ready answer. An answer they are sure is true. And an answer that they had seen a million times.

What no one seems to consider, that the saying “how you do anything is how you do everything” is more of a reason than you would consider.

One of them shows up an awful lot on my site: assuming to know. The opposite of astute. That is a how… falsely certain.

It’s hard to be silently brilliant. Lots of thoughts…

eb3bf6d2bcf2ecaf1ee944306d115dd2It’s hard to be silently brilliant. Lots of thoughts occur when you open your mouth.

Some days I have nothing to say. It doesn’t feel like there is anything to say that needs to be said.

Some people never have anything to say and they talk all the time. Others think that they have to first formulate it in their heads to say it, and it never comes together. Continue reading “It’s hard to be silently brilliant. Lots of thoughts…”

You block your consciousness from flying, it is starving

One of the reasons the 67 steps coaching is wonderful, is because, done the right way, it leads consciousness on a trip that is both wide and deep. Wider than deep, by the way.

But even if you remain on the surface, but go where the steps take you, you can raise your consciousness by a lot.

The insight came to me while sleeping… I was taken somewhere, and I consistently refused to go down a certain ‘tunnel’…

And that is the life of a human. You and your is defined more by the places you don’t go than by the places you do. Literally. Continue reading “You block your consciousness from flying, it is starving”

You bought it and yet you can’t see yourself using it…

the principle of taking consciousness out to a spinA few months ago I signed up to a service to create mobile apps, including a mobile app that would make it easier for cell phone users to use this site.

It was mighty expensive, but I thought that if I get just one new customer from it a month, it will pay for itself.

I signed up, and paid the $49 for a few months, but I never did anything with it. Continue reading “You bought it and yet you can’t see yourself using it…”

The “art” of blocking consciousness from seeing…

allowing consciousness to see moreThe art of seeing more of the world, the art of causing consciousness to see more of the world is to ask different questions.

Asking questions is not easy.

Questions come out from the top of the mind region… to clarify, verify, cement the worldview.

The value of these question is negative value. They make you more stuck in the mind than not asking that question.

These are the questions you mostly ask.

How to get “other” questions, questions that allow you to see more of the world or let consciousness see more of the world?

Simple. Let others ask the question. and Be willing to follow the questions down the rabbit hole…

Sell an idea for a buck… then do it again. Make your first dollar…

>first-dollarOne of the best life lessons I follow, I learned in a course, 30 years ago.

The course was called “more money workshop”

The lesson was: sell an idea for a dollar to at least three people.

It’s not easy, especially if you have never thought that you could sell an idea.

It has two benefits:

  1. it gets you over the hump of what is worth money. A lot if people think that they are geniouses, but they never sold anything, so they have no idea if their ideas are worth anything.

Because worth is not innate… it is in the eye of the buyer.

Self-involved or self-aware? Centering is the biggest difference.

involvedbeingmeWhen I am looking at winners, they are involved with something worth working for… involved, as in action about.

When I am looking at you, I see you being self-involved, 90% of the time. 1Self-involved… I haven’t been able to find a definition I agree with… so let’s be crass: you are self-involved if anyone would think or say: dig your head out of your ass… please…, or you have your head up your ass… or nobody home…}}

And even when you look not so self-involved, your actions, your blaming, your finger-pointing belies the underlying self-involvement… you feel that you are a superior person when others seem smaller.

As long as your biggest concern, expressed in your attention and actions, is yourself, you will be miserable, guaranteed.

Did you notice that I didn’t say: expressed in your words, in your facebook posts… no, your words lie a lot.

I meant: you’ll have your attention on yourself, and your actions will be irrelevant, not building anything, not growing anything, including you… leading you to be split, and miserable.

The “self” your attention is on, is your small self… how you are perceived by others, what you want, what you don’t want, what you like and what you don’t like, what you are afraid of.

What’s the difference between a spiritual assignment and a spiritual practice?

time-to-let-go-web-400pxYour life is full of assignments, things you have to do to survive, things you have to do to fit in, things you have to do to make a living, etc. etc. etc.

What you don’t have is conscious practices.

Until you have practices you are not growing, and you are actually shrinking.

The experience of shrinking is what you experience when I check you: you are anxious, you are afraid, you are resisting, you are in pain.

You have no idea that it is caused by not growing. So you want healing, you want a remedy, you want a relief.

Spiritual practice that will make you grow? Hell no.

  1. An assignment is to get something done.
  2. A practice is to build pathways, skill, a new you. Doing it once, twice, thrice won’t do it. You have to do it day in and day out
