They tell you to read… so you go and read junk!
without-investigationThe Belly-Fat of Ignorance

If you feed your body processed food… you get belly fat, sluggish, and your body won’t be a fine-tuned machine, serving you.

If you feed your brain with processed information, your brain gets the same way: clogged, filled with junk… huge belly fat of ignorance.

What is processed information? It’s second hand information, Tree of Knowledge, filtered through someone else’s brain, for a purpose…

In food you need unprocessed food: so you can be sure what you are eating is an original. You process it and make your own body from it.

In information, finding the very few people with Tree of Life knowledge will give you unprocessed information that will nourish you.

Nearly everything you find freely on the internet is processed information.

The Art of War can be said is the Art of Life

The Art of War can be said is the Art of Life

Sun Tzu The Art of WarI watched this hour and a half long documentary on Sun Tzu’s lessons, and real historical wars America fought inside and outside of America.

I wept throughout.

I value, overall, human life. Even if it is the life of someone I don’t like, don’t respect, or who is the enemy.

So it was painful.

If you are one of those who doesn’t have the stomach for real life, who only wants to know about the nice things in life… You are stupid. Life is life, people are people, and life is war.

Whether you like it or not.

Are you tough enough to deserve the good life?

Are you tough enough to deserve the good life?

unpopular-decisionsTo get what you want, you have to deserve what you want. The world is not yet a crazy enough place to reward a whole bunch of undeserving people.

I am continuing the inquiry into curiosity… the intrinsic motivation of humans… how you lost it, how to rekindle it… and what might be in the way.

I am going to use myself, because curiosity is so rare, and so relatively unconscious, unobserved, and unacknowledged, that I don’t even know who I could ask about their own experience… Let’s hope that this state of affairs will change soon. How you feel tells the level of your deep curiosity factor

How you feel tells the level of your deep curiosity factor

The connection between misery and the level of your deep curiosity factor

curious-bookI am reading the book ‘Curious’ and I am looking at curiosity waxing and waning in my life, in different periods.

I am in the intensely curious phase. I am able to look at things that I don’t like, and I am seeing those things in a wide field of neutral or maybe even positive things… insignificant dot in the big picture.

The same things, in my incurious phases would drive me nuts, or depressed… maybe even suicidal. Or on a fixing campaign… ranting and raving.

Curiosity seems to be the factor that stands out the most between my miserable periods and my periods of life that are OK or maybe even enjoyable.

There are two types of curiosity, as I can see it:

Spirituality uses different tools than the mind, the world

Spirituality uses different tools than the mind, the world

Spirituality, finding your way, finding your self, the path to living a life worth living use different tools from science, schools, the mind, and ordinary thinking.

Not just different tools, but tools used differently.

If you haven’t found what you are seeking… if your seeking has taken you on a wild goose chase only to find nothing of value for yourself… then you owe it to yourself to learn to use the tools and to use them in new ways.

If you love yourself you love your life.

If you love yourself you love your life.

80-20-principle

Good enough, the Pareto principle… how you get tripped up by the numbers

80% of your results come from 20% of your efforts.

This translates to a lot of mischief.

I just read an article, OK, I read 20% of it… lol… about China, and about chabuduo… that is Chinese for Good Enough.

The problem is standards.

Your 100%, the Chinese 100%, and my 100% are not the same.

Want to find your self? Express it? Be true to it? Be motivated by it?

Want to find your self? Express it? Be true to it? Be motivated by it?

brett-wilson-find-yourself-and-be-thatI started to read the book by Edward Deci, “Why we do what we do. Understanding self-motivation”.

This is the first book, that I know, that defines self the way, or similarly the way I do…

To become a person, to have autonomy, self-determination, self-expression, integrity, self-motivation, the most important job is to find the self, by distinguishing what is the driver of all your actions, whether it is inner or outer.

And if it is inner… is it the self, or is it the “not-self”?

Greed, narcissism, hate… area inner motivators, but they are all the not-self. So are all the “negative” emotions, like frustration, haste, the desire to fix, to punish, to suffer… etc. Continue reading “Want to find your self? Express it? Be true to it? Be motivated by it?”

It is exactly 57 times more complicated than that…

It is exactly 57 times more complicated than that…

The current state of science, knowledge is “one size fits all”.

Just do this and this and this… and you’ll be happy, wealthy, healthy, and in love.

Every profession has their “this is the way, this is the truth” postage stamp size area where they dance…

The medical establishment, pharmaceuticals, psychologists, religion, education, and even the “spiritual” or “alternative” people.

I am a people watcher. I watch their behavior. I watch what they welcome, love, what they tolerate, what they avoid.

I remember I was about 30, and I said:

this is exactly 57 times more complicated than that.

The seven habits of highly unsuccessful people

The seven habits of highly unsuccessful people

I wrote this article in 2016. Nothing much has changed… I got older…

As you know it is the 50th anniversary of my high school graduation.

I had a bunch of extraordinary folks as classmates: they have been meeting every year for the past ten years… and this year they decided to redo the yearbook, which is not a book in Hungary: it is a big board with everyone’s picture and their names. Where do your questions come from? If you even HAVE any

Where do your questions come from? If you even HAVE any

blooms_taxonomy_pyramid_cake-style-use-with-permissionI am asked questions, all the time.

Asking questions is one sign. What kind of questions… that is yet another sign.

And then asking intelligent questions… well, that is quite another matter.

I am going to my memory now, and say what I retained about questions from the book Curious… that the better questions, the more intellectual questions one asks the higher level of evolution the person is.

But no matter what question you ask, the answer, if it sticks strictly to the question, will be on the same level where you asked it from.

That is a problem… Continue reading “Where do your questions come from? If you even HAVE any”
