Mastery: From aimless, directionless to fulfilling life

Mastery: From aimless, directionless to fulfilling life

Summary: In our hurry to be hip, to know more, to get some semblance of control over our lives we have lost what gives life meaning and texture, the context that is timeless and true: the pursuit of mastery. We have now whole generations of flunkies…

In the olden days people had the following choices in life:

  • become a master of some trade
  • become a master of some knowledge
  • become a flunky

Updated: Reclaim your life. When your desire is low your Life Force is Low

reclaim your selfSummary: you don’t know who you are, you don’t have access your real desires because of a sinister scheme perpetuated… But it is time you reclaim your Self, it is time to reclaim you Life.

When you ask people to locate themselves, point at themselves, most point at their chest. Why? Because they feel themselves there: most feelings you feel, most emotions you feel are in the chest. Your breathing is in the chest. So it makes sense.

Others hesitate between their head and their chest.

As an empath I can see the discrepancy between what they show, where they point, and where the energy goes.

It always goes to the head, mostly into the forehead, but often to the space under the nose.

About a year and a half ago (Christmas of 2012), in a connection meditation session, I asked the participants to first locate their “Self” and then move it, at will into their hand, belly, and then the Seat of the Soul.

It lead to an amazing insight, an amazing meditation experience, the Avatar State audios, and then something that no one expected, the Self actually coming alive.

One of the participants had lived her life counter to her Self’s, her Soul’s desire: she lived a life of brainy, mental activities. She was unfulfilled, and frankly, not good at it.

Why do some people get fantastic results from the activators or the remedies and others get nothing or not much?

the monsters lurking in the deep sea of your beingMaxwell Maltz, the creator of the program and methodology Psycho Cybernetics, was a plastic surgeon. Plastic surgery, as a rule, is to make someone more beautiful.

Many of his patients, though, didn’t get what they hoped for. Everyone said that they were beautiful, but they could not see their new you, only the ugly that they wanted to get rid of.

We could say that they had a filter that allowed only the imperfections through. I think that this “theory” is more accurate than Maxwell Maltz’s theory of self-image.

Existential Courage, taking risks, turning point

Existential Courage, taking risks, turning point

One of the most important things I have ever done in my life is find out what really holds me back from taking risks.

After all, if you want to grow, as a person, as a business, you need to take risks: all power comes from going out of your comfort zone, and it’s a risk.

The kind of risk that causes you to grow is the kind of risk you need existential courage to face.

The other risk, existential risk, is annihilation of your physical body, but the kind of risk that causes growth is the kind that threatens to annihilate your self-image, your persona, to make you look bad, be wrong, be less than you desire to be.

So you can see, you have that kind of risk every step of the way, while the other, existential risk is rare and dull in comparison.

Let me return to the most important thing I have ever done, and that is: find out and own my biggest fear. Embrace it, if you wish… Love it, if you wish…

How visualization can help, but you need to know what to visualize

practice moves in your imaginationIn my previous post I stumbled on something I myself didn’t know: how to use visualization that is not woo-woo.

This discovery shows something really interesting, and maybe important.

A number of years ago I bought some programs from the Maxwell Maltz and the Psycho-Cybernetics foundation(?)

I read the books, and they made sense. And yet: I wasn’t ready to do any of the exercises in the programs. Why? Well, let us look.

Psycho-Cybernetics talks about improving your self-image, and most of the exercises are about that. For anyone to be willing to invest the time and energy to do the exercises, one must see that they have a self-image problem (I did not see that) and also must see what are the actions that one can’t or won’t do, because it is so new, or scary, or complicated.

The get into action activator, or how to accomplish things in your life

get into action

Dear Sophie, I’ve purchased three audio activators so far, and all I can say is… you deliver. The – Get Into Action activator should be subtitled – how to get organized immediately.

When you read that, you should say: I want that for myself. Really.

There are two types of people.

  1. Type One: They live a vegetable life. They have no ambition, they are not up to anything. They may have some higher aspirations tickled when they watch a movie, for example, but they don’t see that living, thriving, accomplishing is for them.
  2. Type Two: The second group sees that life is pretty much what you make it… but they lack the motive power to rise to the occasion. They want to, they’d like to, they dream about it, they may even plan to live a life suitable for a human being, but gravity, insistence on comfort, safety, pulls them too much. Self-Awareness, Self-Knowledge: how to start growing?

Self-Awareness, Self-Knowledge: how to start growing?

some feedback sounds like judgmentI was on a coaching call this morning. The student feels that he could be more, and that is what brought him to my programs. He raised his vibration from 130 to 200 in six days, and continues to come to the coaching calls.

He would like to own his own business. I recommended that he finds out where he is at, what he is like, so he increases his self-awareness… and finds out what is the reality he is in… I asked him to take the blue pill (the Matrix movie) so he can see the reality, whatever that may be.

Then I gave him a homework: a few questions to ask his friends, co-workers, family.

Deception: do you have any way to recognize?

Deception: do you have any way to recognize?

Innocence: they are still surprised at deception. You are hiding it because you want to be right and admitting that you are a fool makes you look bad!

Personal notes: I am a teacher of transformation. I am a seller of my own courses and energized products. My products work, I use them, and I watch people who use them like a hawk. When something doesn’t quite deliver, I work until I find what’s missing, and provide it.And I am poor. Not quite penniless, but definitely poor.

I live in a small city, in a two bedroom apartment with one other apartment in the house, downstairs.

For the most part I am fine, the downstairs neighbor, 80% of the time, is OK… but when he isn’t, I suffer, and I suffer mightily.

It would be ideal for me to live in a cottage, so I can be far from people… but, of course, the money that all my brilliance is able to generate isn’t going to cover the cost of that upgrade.

This article came as a result of my musings how come I won’t ever get rich with my wares, and how come that teachers that teach crap are raking it in…

I am not bitter about it, by the way, this is just how it is, and I am well. As long as muscletest says “continue” I’ll brave the circumstances.

Most sales (of anything anywhere, including food, shelter, etc… but especially in the domain of self-growth, spirituality, abundance, and the other non-tangible areas of life) are based on deception. Sellers are either personally deceiving people, or “institutionally”, meaning that they are selling something that people think will do something for them, but they didn’t learn it or get it from them…

Let’s deal with both of them.

Individuals deceiving you, selling you snake oil

The first is easier: the seller knows that what they are selling is worthless or harmful. They know it by using it themselves and not getting the results, and getting to witness the “results” on their customers.

They know that they are deceiving the public. They use testimonials that don’t show the long range results, only the placebo effect: the longest time anyone having or using the product is a few days at best, or the results and the product have no cause and effect relationship.

The Secret To Attaining A Good Self-Image and Self-Esteem

The Secret To Attaining A Good Self-Image and Self-Esteem

The Secret To Attaining A Good Self-Image and Self-Esteem

Remember, that the more you like yourself the better you like your life? But did you know that you don’t like yourself, because you disappointed yourself?

When you are down in the dumps, and you try to pick yourself up, the experts say that you should do some juicy affirmations. But the truth is, that you know you are lying, so the affirmations don’t do you any good, in fact they erode the little self-esteem you have.

Your soul, your “real self” doesn’t approve of lying, doesn’t approve of cheating, doesn’t approve of stealing, and the like.

Our outward directed attention gives us the mistaken impression that if the world likes us, if we are outwardly successful, then we’ll like ourselves.

Unfortunately for most of us, the outward success doesn’t do anything for your self-esteem, and for your liking your life. It is the inward work that matters.

When You Like Yourself You Like Your Life

When You Like Yourself You Like Your Life

Respect means two things: the original meaning: double take, and the new, politically correct meaning: honor.

I will mean the original meaning in this article: the act of looking again. Because when you first looked, the past got into your eyes. You saw what you expected to see, you saw how it used to be, how you saw it before, you saw it in a way that rendered your relationship with it stuck, and your life as well.

What you hold true, about yourself, about your loved ones, about other people, individually and as others grouped together, about life, about work, about what is good and what is bad, gives you a certain world, and for the purposes of this article we’ll call it your paradigm.
