relationship This article is about relating… relationship…

…and what can go wrong, what always goes wrong with relationships… And how the same things could go right with just a little thought… Everything the internet says is shallow, surface, and cheap… instead I suggest distinctions.

I live in a two-family home. I live upstairs. This apartment used to be the owner’s… when their kids got too big, they bought another house and started to rent both apartments.

I know the owner, I know his wife, and I know that people in this street still remember how they used to fight, cats and dogs, scream loud enough for everyone to hear.

Now his daughter is renting the downstairs apartment…. Continue reading “She killed her daughter and her grandson…”

Getting along without giving up who you are…

Getting along without giving up who you are…

getting along without giving up who you areGetting along, working along, creating side by side is very hard… often hopeless. This article points to the right way that you can learn to get along… and have harmonious relationships.

Some of my students are working on distinguishing conflict… Telling conflict apart from everything that looks like, and maybe even feels like a conflict.

For decades I pondered why the Greek sages said ‘Know Thyself‘. What difference does it make if I know myself or not.

And I wasn’t alone. Approximately 99% of humanity knows themselves to a maximum of 1%, which is as if they don’t know themselves at all.

In my Starting Point Measurements I measure this as ‘self-awareness.’

So in the absence of knowing your self, you make up a self… and that I call your ‘precious I’. Who you should be… not who you are. Continue reading “Getting along without giving up who you are…”

How to engineer a breakthrough? an unexpected result?

How to engineer a breakthrough? an unexpected result?

engineer a breakthroughHow to engineer a Breakthrough any time in any area of life?

You may have read about Werner Erhard’s butler, and how he discovered that, putting the cap back on the toothpaste, he was building something bigger than just doing his job. You may have seen that the joy returned to the butler’s work, and his life was suddenly a huge contribution… That is: see it until the next time he gets annoyed, angry… and then he can do it again.

Do what? Ask the question repeatedly: what are you building with that?

Let’s see what happens when I do this exercise with my ‘core’ students. Continue reading “How to engineer a breakthrough? an unexpected result?”

Who are your customers? are you selling what they want?

Who are your customers? are you selling what they want?

who are your customers?I just had my first ‘podcast call’ with Bonnie, one of my newer students. I really like her. Her first question hit me unexpectedly low: she asked: who are you making the podcast for… who is going to listen to it? who are your customers?

I hadn’t given it any thought… I only thought of what I wanted to teach… hm. Continue reading “Who are your customers? are you selling what they want?”

Breakthrough: what is it? how do you cause it?

Breakthrough: what is it? how do you cause it?

Breakthrough: how do you cause one? There is a science to causing breakthroughs! Learn it! This article teaches it.

No matter on what level you are on the evolutionary scale, the percentage of knowledge that you didn’t know that you didn’t know stays at 99%.

Sometimes it overlaps with what you think you know because, most of what you think you know, you mostly do not know, or it isn’t so: low truth value.

But to cut this part short, every breakthrough comes from the 99% that you don’t know that you don’t know.

There is a certain way of being, behaving in the world that triggers the 99% to ‘release’ that hidden knowledge to you. I call it ‘unfolding’. Seth Godin calls it ‘poking the box.’ Continue reading “Breakthrough: what is it? how do you cause it?”

Are you tired or are you weak? Revealing the root cause…

Are you tired or are you weak?

I am starting to see why my students loved me, rallied for me back in 2012-2013-2014…

It’d been puzzling me… what did I do differently then?

Today I saw it.

I had a private call with a brand new client from Australia, and it was a video call on zoom (don’t ask… first time zoom user myself!) so I could see her, and the changes the conversation was creating in her. Continue reading “Are you tired or are you weak? Revealing the root cause…”

What makes a good thing go to sh!t?

What makes a good thing go to sh!t?

disharmonyHarmony, joy can be destroyed by a consistently dissonant voice

I had been enjoying the New Tricks BBS TV show on Amazon Prime… until yesterday.

It’s an ensemble show, or better said: it used to be.

Ensemble means that every participant is there for both themselves and for the show. Desire to receive for the sake of sharing. Not a dissonant chord.

Then one person, for reason only they know, decided that he is more important then the show and the others, and the thing falls apart.

You can hear it before they even know it themselves… someone playing out of tune. Continue reading “What makes a good thing go to sh!t?”

Going from hate and disgust to feeling good about yourself. From hate to love

Going from hate and disgust to feeling good about yourself. From hate to love

from hate to loveOne of the few things I need to be aware and manage diligently is to not slip into hate and disgust about things or people. And when I do slip, to go from hate to love with them.

One of my ‘favorite’ ways to slip into hate and disgust has been to gossip about things or people… whom otherwise I love and cherish, but something about them irks me.

The solution is to make room for the imperfection, the part that irks me, and then I can love them, warts and all.

The secret is to rant first and accept second.

  • What most people do is suppress. It is wrong to hate your teacher, for example. Or your wife.
  • Or alternatively, they get stuck in hate. They don’t proceed to acceptance.

What causes disease: a lack of ease, feeling bad? Can your health measurements answer that question?

What causes disease: a lack of ease, feeling bad? Can your health measurements answer that question?

health measurements show the 90%, the invisibleI have a number of people who subscribe to getting their health measurements monthly.

Today I measured four of those. I played Freecell in between to cleanse my system.

Of what? Of the previous person’s energy.

This cleansing serves two purposes: 1. I won’t accidentally remain connected to the person I just measured 2. I steel myself to the experience of being them.

What?

Yeah… When I am connected to you, I am, physically and emotionally merged with you. My brain, luckily isn’t, that’s why I can stay connected to Source, that’s why I can measure stuff about you.
