One is: I take credit for your success, and blame you, the student, for your failure

Back before I left Hungary… I remember it was a heatwave, and I was listening to the radio. Two famous comics… There were two bits I remember from that show, some 40 years ago, that were life-defining for me:

1. one of the comics said: there are two paths for the Hungarian intelligentsia: one is alcoholism, the other one is unpassable.

2. the other one, Hofi Geza, warned that you are going to be like the i-beam that is higher than the others in a retaining wall: they will chop your head off… unless they can pound you till you are the same height as the others.

I have been looking at the traffic that comes to my site… and 99% of the people who come, leave empty handed.

Most people want to make more money. I don’t have what they want… I could only have what they need… so I have had nothing to offer them. I have thought of doing a money course… but have discarded it… It feels inauthentic for me to teach about money, given how mediocre my income is.

What you don’t know that you don’t know is really your blind spot. I have, must have, a big blind spot that I can’t, don’t want to, am afraid to make more money than is necessary to survive.

It’s not necessarily a lack of knowledge, or lack of work. It is that something stops me when the going gets good…

…because without looking The Sight capacity won’t do much for you.

The answers come to me through different channels.

I may notice my own behavior that causes The Sight to kick in.
I may get an email that points to some ways
Mostly what I get is examples of how someone isn’t even looking.

The more concerns you have in life, the less you are able to look.

There is no such thing as security.

Neither financial, nor health, relationship, none.

Your computer will crash in the middle of your work, when you are doing something important and you haven’t saved it. or just before you would sign on to your favorite webinar you paid for.
Your neighbor’s cat will use your flower beds as a potty… and your flowers no smell cat poop.
Your country, your business, your livelihood is shut down by some pandemic or the excuse of it.
Your innards start to grow cancerous growths, and you can’t eat, can’t poop, can’t move… it hurts and you see that you are now probably incurable.

Life works in mysterious ways…

The Law of Process is one of the most important laws of nature, of Life… and one of the laws the least number of people know about, or honor.

People are duped to believe that things just happen… and there is no process behind them happening.

Advertising, testimonials, articles, books, talk about the results, and talk about the path to them in a sketchy way… if at all.

So it is no surprise that any and all my students and clients expect instant results, instant enlightenment, instant happiness, blah blah blah when they deal with me. After all I wield energies… right?

Even people who have gone through a process to be as successful, or as unsuccessful as they are, cannot see the process. Not even in hindsight.

The capacity to see the consequences of your actions

The capacity to see one’s way through, without the need to muddle through is possessed by about 1% of humanity.

It is the same capacity that can clearly see what your current actions will result in if you continue them.

It is the same capacity that can see what changes you need to make in your attitude and in your behavior to effect lasting change.

It is the rarest capacity… but it is also the hardest capacity to make work for you if you don’t have the habit of looking.

The Sight that gives people like Warren Buffet the edge

Some weeks are like this: I do something, see something, write about something important, and on Monday Roy Williams’ Monday Morning Memo echoes it.

This is the case this week… You know when you manage to do something whose time has come? Gratifying, rewarding, like the Universe nods in your direction.

Roy Williams, the Wizard of Ads, has the capacity of The Sight wide open. 50%. But just like me, he doesn’t know it’s a capacity, he doesn’t know it’s DNA, he thinks everyone has it… And most of what he writes delights the people with sight, and eludes the people with the capacity of The Sight still closed.

His article about the Elbs, the Exponential Little Bits of change will make no difference for you or your actions unless you have your DNA capacity of seeing the consequences of your actions opened… or open. The DNA capacity of seeing the consequences of your actions

The new capacity, the capacity to see the consequences of your actions, The Sight, is an unconscious capacity. Unconscious meaning: you don’t necessarily notice any difference, especially if

1. your ego keeps shouting: “it’s hopeless…”
2. the subconscious will keep on feeding you the same nonsense it’s been feeding you to get you where you are…
3. greed, urges, jumping, impulsiveness will have you jump without looking. The fact that you can see doesn’t guarantee that you’ll look.
