Your life story is like a black hole. Your Bach profile

Your life story is like a black hole. Your Bach profile

Your tendency is to remember the story. Not what happened but your story. And to tell the story in a predictable manner… always the same way, always showing you in the same role, the same exact way.

A story is a narrative of reality. It talks from one particular vantage point, and therefore it is distorted. Always. Inherently so.

Your tendency is to remember the story in a way that agrees with your soul correction.

Soul correction, it could be said, is this slant of reality that lets you get away with murder, lies, laziness, blaming, simply said: being less than giving your best.

My story can be summed up with three elements: a hero succeeding in the face of incredible odds, and also complaining: “no matter what I do… I can’t this or that”. And the third: I don’t know if I can trust myself.

Almost succeeding, but never doing things long enough, hard enough, to actually succeed. Why? Because it would kill the story.

Also, I need enemies. I need disease. I need bugs… to fight heroically and almost succeed.

Guidance, oracle… the final interpretation is up to you

Guidance, oracle… the final interpretation is up to you

It’s Tuesday and Rob Brezsny’s syndicated horoscopes landed in my inbox.

I read mine, and my blood turned cold.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): In the coming weeks, you might want to read the last few pages of a book before you decide to actually dive in and devour the whole thing. I also suggest you take what I just said as a useful metaphor to apply in other areas. In general, it might be wise to surmise the probable outcomes of games, adventures, and experiments before you get totally involved. Try this fun exercise: Imagine you are a psychic prophet as you evaluate the long-range prospects of any influences that are vying to play a role in your future.

Fear. Fear that I am working on something that is going to turn out not what I want.

Very scary… in spite of the fact that I experiment all the time. That I rarely make a binding commitment to any path until it is already bringing its results.

I don’t set goals… and don’t commit to outcomes.

And yet, the fear was paralyzingly strong… Continue reading “Guidance, oracle… the final interpretation is up to you”

Habit Stacking… a shortcut to your new life

I am reading a book, Habit Stacking. I think all non-fiction kindle books are poorly written… and I hate them. No joy of reading, even if the information is good. This one is no exception…   but the topic is needed.

Why do you need what this book teaches? Why do you need habit stacking?

In my programs, both in the health program and in the “good life” program, you will need to develop new habits. But… to develop a habit by itself is an uphill struggle, and to maintain it is virtually impossible.

Quote of the Day

If you never venture beyond what you know… You’ve spawned your own limitations.

I have been practicing “habit stacking” without giving it a name, successfully. What I am learning is that I can take it to a whole different level. And I can stack all desirable habits into stacks.. groupings, and things will get done…

Do what’s difficult when it’s easy… but it’s easy to say, hard to accomplish. Because what is difficult only shows up when it is already not easy… when it’s needed, what you already gone too far not having done it. Continue reading “Habit Stacking… a shortcut to your new life”

Is life a symphony or is life chaos for you? What you manifest will be dramatically different

symphony or chaos? All my articles are inspired, are an answer to something that happens right now… something that asks for a new way of seeing things.

Today is not an exception. It’s early and I have read only two of my emails, but the need to write an article is already there…. lol. The “bomb” is towards the end of the email, so try to hang in there: what you will learn there will first upset you, but has a chance to set you free… But the first part prepares it… Really.

M in Germany is looking at coherence and balance… and brings the following two visuals

1. Coherence is crafting a symphony… music
2. Coherence while having a whiny 3-year old tug at your skirt in the kitchen. Continue reading “Is life a symphony or is life chaos for you? What you manifest will be dramatically different”

What should be your first step in becoming astute:?

What should be your first step in becoming astute:?

About the title: an astute person is a person who can see things for what they are

On the Tree of Knowledge we are taught to listen to words instead of looking at reality.

In essence we are cut off from our direct experience of life. 1

In my classes the biggest challenge is to cause the students to see. Unless the seeing comes with words, explanation, they can’t see.

See patterns, see the story behind a picture, see cause and effect, see similarity, see differences, see what they need to see to maneuver life.

Astute is a person who can see things for what they are without having to ask for help, explanation, etc.

A good tool keeps on giving, and giving, and giving

A good tool keeps on giving, and giving, and giving

skills, they keep on givingWhen you find something good, then hold onto it, make it your permanent tool or partner.

How do you know if what you have found is a good thing?

This can be in any area of life, health, wealth, love, and fulfillment.

Here is how you know that something was a good purchase, a good bet?

  • A good thing keeps on giving.
  • A good thing doesn’t just give you one time, or for a little bit of time. It keeps on giving and giving, maybe even indefinitely.
In another word: what is good is useful. Long term. Keeps on giving to you.

Wise people are pattern recognizers… Are you?

Wise people are pattern recognizers… Are you?

One such wise person was Ann Landers. Here are some of her quotes: all of them are profound, all of them are recognized patterns, based on the thousands of letters she answered in her long career.

Ann Landers quotes

“All married couples should learn the art of battle as they should learn the art of making love. Good battle is objective and honest – never vicious or cruel. Good battle is healthy and constructive, and brings to a marriage the principles of equal partnership.”

“Anyone who believes the competitive spirit in America is dead has never been in a supermarket when the cashier opens another check-out line.”

“Asking a writer what he thinks about critics is like asking what a fire hydrant feels about dogs.”

“at every party there are two kinds of people – those who want to go home and those who don’t. the trouble is, they are usually married to each other.”

How well do you recognize patterns? How many?

How well do you recognize patterns? How many?

It is said that there are only three types of people. (The illustrations I use in this article reveal more patterns, so pay attention, please)

  • 1. make things happen
  • 2. observes things happen
  • 3. ponders what the heck happened.

This is so because of the three different ways to see patterns.

  • 1. recognizes patterns, knows them intimately. The slightest indication of the pattern gives them clue about how things work
  • 2. observes things happen, but doesn’t recognize patterns… unless they are pointed out. And only when they are pointed out. Is satisfied with so-so knowledge, surface… so cannot make things happen
  • 3. can’t even (or won’t even) recognize patterns when they are pointed out. Is in the dark.

Happiness is when what you think, say, and do are in harmony

Happiness is when what you think, say, and do are in harmony

If you look, carefully, now you know why you are not happy.

Here is another quote: People get married because they want their lives witnessed. When your life is witnessed you feel alive… I was par phrasing the Susan Sarandon character’s words in “Shall we Dance?”

The best way to make sure you are on the path to happiness… is actually to be in a coaching program.

In my 67 step coaching program I witness your life.

Obviously, if you don’t care what I see: if you don’t care that I see that there is no harmony in what you think, what you say and what you do, then it is not really doing much for you…

If you don’t care… Continue reading “Happiness is when what you think, say, and do are in harmony”

How to Develop Emotional Intelligence… what do psychologists say?

How to Develop Emotional Intelligence… what do psychologists say?

This article shows the state of official science for emotional intelligence.

Psychologists are not interested in the groundbreaking work developed in the books Feelings and Words…

Although when you can already recognize your feelings,  their inner dynamics, what they want you to do, what trap you my have stepped, unwittingly, the advice below is quite good.

Until then I don’t think it’s useful… Or may not be useful.

Even though emotional intelligence is really important to live a good life, to have good relationships, to get things done, to be well… for all of life. Continue reading “How to Develop Emotional Intelligence… what do psychologists say?”
