Feeling yourself is the key to personhood

Alienation… not feeling yourself… rigidity

One of my students sent me her collage.

A collage is an artwork where the hidden surfaces. We think one things but what is the truth, what is underneath it come out in a well-done collage.

We all feel disconnected, isolated, not quite belonging, lacking intimacy, and we think that it is from circumstances, like COVID or the other person, or maybe even you. Continue reading “Feeling yourself is the key to personhood”

Carrot or Stick? How to win at promises you make to yourself

new year resolutionsWe all know this, it is too common to think that you don’t have it.

You find yourself attracted to some kind of project. Maybe a new habit, or an exercise regimen.
It feels like a done deal: it is all yours. Done deal, it is in the bag… and then you wake up one morning, maybe as soon as next day, and all the inspiration is gone, and you are back to being pedestrian. Plus feelings, like shame, confusion, of puzzlement. Continue reading “Carrot or Stick? How to win at promises you make to yourself”

The difference between ‘is’ as myth, and ‘is’ as occurrence

Let me first connect this article to the previous one. This article will not do what it is designed to do, cause transformation, unless you have the Sight capacity, at least the aspect where you can see BEYOND the words, active. So with that said, I offer this transformative article… let’s see how it lands.

I have said before, that is, I, and because are myths. Continue reading “The difference between ‘is’ as myth, and ‘is’ as occurrence”

How to become worth a damn? Because you aren’t…

The only real security is your ability to produce

Want to become worth a damn?

Become a genius at implementation. At getting things done. That is where the magic is…

Honestly, whatever you buy, whatever you learn: make sure you implement it, 100%, 110%… and become the best at it. Continue reading “How to become worth a damn? Because you aren’t…”

Your outer world truthfully reflects your inner world

Your outer world truthfully reflects your inner world.

But the question begs to be asked: what do you mean ‘inner world’?

People, teachers, even psychologists all talk about the mind, then they expand it to beliefs, but if that is your inner world, then you are stuck.

Nothing will change the mind, nothing will change beliefs, directly. Continue reading “Your outer world truthfully reflects your inner world”

What is it like to be an empath and connect to you?

That I have never been asked, so I am volunteering the answer: What it feels like to intentionally connect to someone through their picture, so I can measure stuff about them?

I get to be paid ‘the big bucks‘ because connecting to most anyone is like going under the knife without anaesthesia. It hurts. It’s jarring. It is painful. And then, with some people, the pain doesn’t go away.

So first I am feeling my own feelings of being violated. Continue reading “What is it like to be an empath and connect to you?”

What do a light bulb and transformation have in common?

What do a light bulb and transformation, raising your vibration, and gurudom have in common?

What was the genius of Edison? Ask 100 people and none will have the answer. They will simply say: he invented the light bulb. Or they will say: he tried unsuccessfully 1000 times, and never gave up. Then you ask: why did he have to do 1,000 unsuccessful experiments to get to the solution that worked? At best people say: because the filament always burned out… but how he solved it, 100 out of 100 people you asked, won’t have the answer. Continue reading “What do a light bulb and transformation have in common?”

Indigestion. Weight gain. Joint pain. Arthritis. Same cause?

Indigestion… Hunger… Weight gain… pain in joints… arthritis…

About four weeks ago I decided that I’d do what I can to make my life more enjoyable.

During the pandemic I packed on about twenty pounds. I stopped walking, and started moaning. Continue reading “Indigestion. Weight gain. Joint pain. Arthritis. Same cause?”

Without listening you won’t hear what is said

Without listening you don’t hear. You don’t have good questions to ask.

I could be saying I have a billion dollars for you, and you would not hear it.

But listening is staying with what you are listening to, and is not over-talking it, or allowing something to grab your attention and move it to what you are thinking about.

Listening is also allowing what is said to remain what was said… Continue reading “Without listening you won’t hear what is said”

Some mornings I wake up fully and wholly hopeless.

This morning was one of those mornings.

I stepped on the scale, like I do every morning, and it showed a number .8 pound less than yesterday, that is like 400 grams, and my thought, my commentary, my meaning was: I’ll be a svelte thin corpse. Yaay for me!

My work is hopeless, I think. Continue reading “Some mornings I wake up fully and wholly hopeless.”
