You cannot solve a problem that is not real

We all have moments of brilliance and hours of stupidity, or some version of “not brilliant”

Some people take it in stride… this is how it is, no matter who you are. Einstein had moments of brilliance… and hours, days of stupidity too. Continue reading “You cannot solve a problem that is not real”

Invisible Dynamic: Undeclared commitments

My horoscope often tells me what I should be dealing with, either for myself, or for you and me.

This is the horoscope I received in my email box today, from Rob Brezsny:

If you were a snake, it would be a fine time to molt your skin. If you were a river, it would be a perfect moment to overflow your banks in a spring flood. If you were an office worker, it would be an excellent phase to trade in your claustrophobic cubicle for a spacious new niche. In other words, you are primed to outgrow at least one of your containers. The boundaries you knew you would have to transgress (step over the boundary, infringe or go beyond the bounds of) some day are finally ready to be transgressed. Even now, your attention span is expanding and your imagination is stretching.

Obviously he uses the word ‘transgress’ to express that you are in some self imposed prison, he calls it container. Rob Brezsny is a typical California positive language dude… not a straight talk dude, like myself.

Now, whether it is addressed to me, or whether it is addressed to us, I am going to attend to both aspect.

The first thing to examine where it is where ‘we’, you and me, consider certainty, security, knowing more comfortable than stretching.

3 reasons you aren’t doing what you say you will do

You can learn nearly anything on the internet if you know how to learn.

And yet, if you look, people don’t learn much, don’t do much, and the momentary excitement, the big promises die almost as fast as they were born, leaving the promiser frustrated, and puzzled why they can’t keep their word, and actually do what they said they would do. Continue reading “3 reasons you aren’t doing what you say you will do”

There are two kinds of complaints.

I’ll talk more about it later, but for completion’s sake…

…let’s see the second kind of complaint. I call it idle complaint. Continue reading “There are two kinds of complaints.”

Itch, pebble in your shoe… two more invisible dynamics

I woke up with a start. OMG… The switch… or the pebble… or whatever I called it!

The invisible dynamics is a system. It is like a machine. A complex machine… It takes in life as it could be, and it spits out your life as it is, having sucked all the juice out of it. Really.

That is the machine. Continue reading “Itch, pebble in your shoe… two more invisible dynamics”

You live inside a machine called racket….

the racket …and you feed the machine, relentlessly

Every single human (and to a certain degree lots of animals) has automatic ways of being, that could be called a machine, because their behavior is predictable, it is machine-like. Push a button and outcomes the same result, every time.

And every person I know is, more or less, an emotional wreck. a thinly disguised heap of upsets, fears, anxieties, and other very unpleasant feelings.

As an empath I see the disguise and feel the truth. Continue reading “You live inside a machine called racket….”

Why Am I Miserable? Why You Are Miserable?

iceberg or what's below the sea level is more important to what's above: it can sink you Why Am I Miserable? Why You Are Miserable? The Most Binding Agreements Are The Ones You Never Made

I had a session with a client. The conversation went to one of my ‘favorite’ topics: why wives stop wanting intimacy after the children are born.

This is a big issue for men, and destroys many marriages.
