What you are most proud of about yourself is…

What you are most proud of about yourself is what holds you back in life

This article was written OMG 10 years ago? We haven’t again addressed these life-suckers… Since we are working on anchor-to-doom and the actions necessary to live a life not determined by the doom… we probably will need to talk about these minor anchors… the topic of this article. These keep us stuck, suck our aliveness, curtail our successes, and make us inauthentic and pretending. So they are important.

We’ll use transformation to get unstuck: transformation is caused by making the invisible visible... Continue reading “What you are most proud of about yourself is…”

What’s the opposite of cowardly? Is it courageous? Fearless?

What if cowardly simply means: not willing to get hurt? Not willing to feel pain. Any pain. Including non-physical pain… like the pain of being wrong.

What if everything we have ever really done was to avoid that non-physical pain?

As usual, I am going to look for some experiences in me… myself, and tell you things I probably shouldn’t. About myself… And expose myself to the pain. Continue reading “What’s the opposite of cowardly? Is it courageous? Fearless?”

Too many choices leave you high and dry. Confused and stuck

Clarity is power… Unclarity traps you. Makes you stuck.

I have lived in three countries.

I was pretty in the first country. And I was normal in the second. And I have been mostly exotic and ugly in the third.

Because what you are most used to, what is like what you saw as a child is what is pleasing to you. Even though philosophers have defined beauty through and through… and yet.

Why am I writing about this now? Continue reading “Too many choices leave you high and dry. Confused and stuck”

Is being stuck a personal issue that you should hide?

The art and science of getting unstuck… aka ALLOWING

Can I really promise that I’ll take you to freedom? That I can take you to unstuck and moving?

It may be that I have bit off more than I can chew.

This feeling of being stuck, maybe even being trapped, the inability to move, the feeling that there is no place to go… Continue reading “Is being stuck a personal issue that you should hide?”

Why cannot you learn, cannot heal, cannot be happy?

I learned to drive with manual transmission. there were no automatic shifts cars in Hungary at the time. Are there now? I have no idea.

I drove my first automatic in Israel. But even though it was automatic, I shifted back when we were climbing the mountain Jerusalem sits on. A steep serpentine road winding up the mountain with plenty of switchbacks. Not perfect for automatic transmission.

Jerusalem sits on a 2474 feet (754 meters above sea level). So I shifted back to second gear.

Driving that way made for a smoother ride. Continue reading “Why cannot you learn, cannot heal, cannot be happy?”

From Pain Island to Pleasure Island… how to get unstuck

Get comfortable with not knowing the answer

Because you won’t… and maybe for a long time.

But if you insist on knowing, then you won’t actually look, you won’t actually expand. You will keep on pondering, using only what you already ‘know’. And instead of questions that make you grow, you’ll be looking for answers, that confirm what you already ‘know’.

What you already ‘know’ is what keeps you where you are… Continue reading “From Pain Island to Pleasure Island… how to get unstuck”

Learning lessons the hard way or the easy way, choose 2

The brilliance in the movie, It’s a wonderful life is that the angel creates a thought experiment: what the world would be like if our hero hadn’t been born.

Thought experiments are uniquely human: animals can’t do thought experiments. Continue reading “Learning lessons the hard way or the easy way, choose 2”

Your health and your soul correction: what’s the connection?

More often than not, what makes you sick, ill, is you doing what you feel will make you feel better.

No discipline, and very narrow cone of vision.

Let’s look at that: what you think is making you well, or going to make you well.

What is there is low tolerance or no tolerance to feel how you feel. No willingness to be present, to observe it, to let it talk. You react.

TLB is the degree that you are reactive. Twitchy Little Bastard… TLB. Continue reading “Your health and your soul correction: what’s the connection?”

You can have anything but not everything.

It takes exactly as much energy to live a shitty life, a mundane life, as to live a good life.

It’s true, it is different energy, more purposeful, but energy is energy.

The only difference is: a shitty life is on automatic. The good life is not.

You can have anything, but you can’t have everything.
