Magical Thinking and Activating DNA capacities

chinese-ritualAs I am asking questions that are probing, like ‘what displaces humility when someone doesn’t accept the capacity?’ I am bumping up again and again to magical thinking.

When I look at the ethnic/cultural distribution of the people who block humility in favor of magical thinking, I find that

  1. spirit god cultures, like Native American and African, Shamanic cultures.
  2. Catholic, Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox alike
  3. Religious Jews
  4. People of the Indian subcontinent… where it is how it is… you are stuck there

In magical thinking, something or someone will magically do for you what you wish to have done.

The more ritual is in the religion, the more I find magical thinking.

Your choice is the question: shall I shrink or grow?

Your choice is the question: shall I shrink or grow?

You have been choosing to shrink most of your life… and you ended up on my site with a meager number of capacities, hoping to get more out of life than you are getting.

You have been choosing, consistently to be a fat flightless turkey, in spite of your DNA that has flying as a capacity.

Yesterday I activated the capacity of Process for a handful of people… and it seems that this is a crucial capacity… Here are some interesting insights reading people’s notes who just got the Process capacity activated

T from England writes. She now has 12 capacities, including the Process…

This is new……my internal state, “Is happy”… no big noise, just that. I am quite serious by nature, there is quite a slap stick humour behind it without exhibition. its amusing.

Managed to read 5 pages of a Book without distraction :

ie. making tea, toast or treat
seeing this site as a great tool to grow,
less inhibited.Want to say more but, feel i would just be dribbling on…..that’s not less, inhibited? Laugh, laugh.

Your smarts don’t live in your brain… or only your brain

Your smarts don’t live in your brain… or only your brain

modern-human-neanderthalYour smarts don’t live in your brain. Comparing brains is a favorite job of scientist, but they are on the wrong track.

Instead they should ask questions that relevant… I wonder why they don’t think to answer relevant questions.

Questions like what happens when a really smart man has a daughter? How come that women, in general, are less capable, less able to make it in the world?

And the answer doesn’t live in the brain: it lives in the DNA.

Children inherit a combination of their parents’ DNA. A child can be smart, even brilliant as a potential, socialization will force a female child to shut down their capacities to please the parent, especially the mother, and dumb herself down.

What do you use to avoid process?

here-is-the-processI just noticed that guessing is not a good method in process… neither is faking it, winging it, etc. It’s not a process if someone else cannot follow in your footstep! Ugh.

I can see that I need to change more things than one… especially guessing… I find it irresistibly funny… lol… even though I am not sure what is making me laugh out loud. But it tickles my funny bone that all my habits fly in the face of process.

Ego is trying to assert itself, yelling that it’s boring…

Some 30 years ago I participated in a seminar series on and for creativity. I have one thing I still remember: don’t bring creativity to how you wash your teeth. Bring creativity where it is called for…

And only having the process capacity now 7%, that I can see that I have been trying to do creativity on mundane actions, because I was locked out from where real creativity would have mattered: creating working processes.

The capacity of accomplishment… the capacity of process

richard branson has the process capacity activatedI have tested every single person who I deal with regularly, and none of them have the “process” capacity turned on.

  • Warren Buffet has it on.
  • Steve Jobs didn’t have it on.
  • Bill Gates has it on.
  • Sir Richard Branson has it on.
  • Frank Kern (marketing genius) has it on.
  • Brendon Burchard (marketing genius) has it on
  • Jeff Walker of Product Launch formula fame has it on.
  • President Obama doesn’t have it on. The Donald doesn’t have it on.
  • Ryan Deiss (marketing genius) has it on
  • You may have it on if you won the Nobel Prize… But Einstein didn’t have it on.

Starting to see the path, and maybe even the steps needed

the fog that covers the path, the process is liftingI am starting to see that this missing capacity: the capacity to see a process 1 , design a process, to have a strategy, is what’s missing to take me out of the one woman band existence.

  • You can’t delegate unless you know what someone needs to do and how it fits into your process or overall strategy.
  • You can’t have a staff… for the same reason. You can’t lead… because you don’t know where you are going.
  • Not having this capacity means duplicate work, work that wasn’t needed was done, work that was needed wasn’t done…

Is Sophie a fake? Can she activate a DNA capacity for…

dyslexia makes you look stupidIs Sophie a fake? Can she activate a DNA capacity for herself? A capacity she obviously never had?

I have been re-reading Dan Millman’s The Life You Were Born To Live.

I don’t know why I am reading it, but here is what I have found that is worth mentioning:

  1. What used to be too much English is suddenly clear, concise, and applicable. The text didn’t change, I did. Obviously I am playing with a fuller deck…
  2. I get, again and again reminded of my Achilles heel: I have a missing capacity that is probably responsible for many of my failures, and all of my no successes.

Could you learn to be an investor like Warren Buffet? If you had the time, the teachers, the money?

I shared a few bits here and there today with my chiropractor… He has 13 capacities used.

The conversation was an utter and total failure.

Capacities, abilities, is a whole new concept, and he wasn’t even getting a glimpse of what I was talking about. Very interesting.

It seems that the mistaken belief is that you can learn anything… including being an investor like Warren Buffet… that is a total illusion: you cannot learn anything that you don’t have the capacities for.

Most types of learning, like classes, coaching, etc. don’t take you to a place where the capacity missing would turn on, because you are ready for it and need it, It is not deep enough water, so the sink or swim would apply. Especially if you think you should be able to do it…

Big mistake.

How superiority blocks you from growing. Are you perceptive?

How superiority blocks you from growing. Are you perceptive?

not-perceptiveI do a lot of “work” that doesn’t look like work.

For example, asking the question: Is being perceptive a capacity?

It turns out that it is. It is on a scale of one to 100… very perceptive, somewhat perceptive, not perceptive.

Cats are not perceptive. Partially because their eyes are calibrated to only notice movement. A non-moving tasty bit of food, mouse, bug is if it didn’t exist for a cat. That is probably why they only eat food that stinks to my human nose… ugh. They can’t see it, can’t judge it from its look, color, etc.

Not perceptive.

So, in effect, perceptive is a capacity to see details, see much.

Capacities… what does it mean? How do you know someone only has a few capacities active?

Capacities… what does it mean? How do you know someone only has a few capacities active?

I was on a marketing webinar… actually it is still going on as I am writing this.

The presenters are two brothers in Ireland… genius as far as building a piece of software, morons in every other area that I can see.

One has nine, the other has ten capacities working.

So, in the brief duration of the webinar, what were the capacities that weren’t turned on and made it pure hell being on the webinar:

  • not having a sense of what they sound like
  • talking about a screen not aware that that is not what the attendees of the webinar see
  • building an offer that timed poorly, presented poorly, salesy…
  • overselling…

Those are behaviors that are underlied by 10 capacities that they don’t have…
