Self awareness is not enough. Understanding is not enough.

Self awareness is not enough. Understanding is not enough.

If you want to become more, grow, evolve, self awareness is important. But it is not enough. Meditation is not enough. Having a person to model yourself after is not enough. Reading is not enough. Understanding is not enough.

Something is missing, the presence of which would make the most difference, and could take you through the barrier to full knowledge of your machine.

What machine, you ask? Continue reading “Self awareness is not enough. Understanding is not enough.”

The allure of what vs. the how. Scarcity vs abundance

The allure of what vs. the how. Scarcity vs abundance

Your vocabulary, the number and the kind of words you use, is a dead giveaway of the level of your spiritual evolution… simply put your vibrational frequency.

If I could not measure your spiritual/consciousness level accurately other ways, I would use your vocabulary number to tell you what is your spiritual vibration, what is your level of consciousness.

How? What? Are you kidding Sophie? Continue reading “The allure of what vs. the how. Scarcity vs abundance”

If I were god… Would I try to fix humanity?

If I were god… Would I try to fix humanity?

IF i WERE GODIf I were god…

If I were god and my creation didn’t function the way I envisioned, what would I do? Would I try to start over? Would I send in a repairman to fix it?

Whether I would be a powerful god, or a lesser god, reality and its rules would apply, and that is bad news.

You can’t change something from the outside.

You can create it, but once it is done, it has its own rules, and you can only change it from the inside. Continue reading “If I were god… Would I try to fix humanity?”

When what comes out of your mouth is glub glub

When what comes out of your mouth is glub glub

Many, maybe most people live as if they were driftwood. Driftwood is a stuck state…

The most important thing I can tell you about driftwood is not that they drift…

The most important thing I can say about them is that they have no say in the matter of their life.

No power. Continue reading “When what comes out of your mouth is glub glub”

How do you think of yourself less? your about-me score

How do you think of yourself less? your about-me score
How do you think of yourself less?

What does that mean? Thinking of others? By becoming a do-gooder?

OK, I am going to clarify something. Something that myself don’t quite know how it works, and why it works that way.

So it may come out incomprehensible, botched up, and useless. But, in my view, it is worth to try…

Note: if you only read one example, make it #5!

OK, the issue: one of the measurements is to what degree your life is about you and your life… the words I use I borrowed from someone else… True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less. and the words are ‘to what degree you think of yourself’… as a measure of humility i.e. how much room you have to learn and grow, how much room you have for the world, for work, for life… for others. Respect: look again… but this time differently

Respect: look again… but this time differently

In the movie, Stranger Than Fiction, our hero is doing what he is doing, unconsciously.

When Harold Crick, the hero of the movie, starts hearing the narrating voice in his head…

…what the voice says takes him out of his unconsciousness and makes him conscious

…his usual way of doing things, going through life like a drone, and this changes his life.

What is the connection between respect and appreciation?

What is the connection between respect and appreciation?

What is the connection between respect and appreciation? Both respect and appreciation are spiritual capacities… states of being.

I am having a lot of insights lately. Of course, it was predictable: I am running an experimental workshop: it is driving up the questions.

When you have questions, relevant questions, you are going to get insights. You ask irrelevant questions? you’ll get no insights.

Anyway, the circumstance this morning was this: I accidentally double-paid for a course. Sent a support request to get a refund, and they answered that their policy was to talk to me, to make sure I was who I said I was. Continue reading “What is the connection between respect and appreciation?”

The dominant forceful way you are killing life.

The dominant forceful way you are killing life.

If you pay attention: you won’t want to read this post. You won’t want to know what keeps your vibration low. You are scanning the internet, the horizon, the people around you for feedback: that you are already all you can be.

This ‘not wanting to‘ is essentially what I am talking about in this article, this insistence, this forcefulness.

I wrote this article in 2016. Humanity has gotten worse sence. More forceful…

I don’t want to… I don’t like it… arrgh, nooo!

More about Desire, And why desire, normally, is a plague

More about Desire, And why desire, normally, is a plague

Desire is a mental energy. And it is impossible to desire something, something you have not first imagined or seen.

So desire is comparing an image of something and the way it is in reality. That gap is what is called desire.

Now, desire has this imagination element, that shows the object of desire, the finished ‘product’ as if it were already reality. And in that mistake, in that mirage lies the mischief. Continue reading “More about Desire, And why desire, normally, is a plague”

Words, hands, facts, numbers. Which is your bailiwick?

Words, hands, facts, numbers. Which is your bailiwick?

One of the emails I never fail to read, and never fail to benefit from in some way is the Monday Morning Memo.

What I like about it, and you probably would hate, judging from many YOUR choices which of my emails to read… What I like most about the Monday Morning Memo, is that it is a sideways view. Sideways from my view.

And as every sideways view the Memo shows the world different from ordinary. Just differently enough so it enriches. Enriches my world, allows me to be happier, more productive with more ease. So it delights me.

I really really love that. My insides purr. Continue reading “Words, hands, facts, numbers. Which is your bailiwick?”
