Why aren’t you happy? What Kabbalah has to say about that…

Why aren’t you happy? What Kabbalah has to say about that…

According to Kabbalah 1 (I studiedĀ  at the Kabbalah Centre. Most Kabbalists disagree with the Kabbalah Centre’s take on Kabbalah… ) you EARN your light.

Light is everything that keeps you alive, everything that you enjoy, everything you value. Sustenance, sex, pleasure, fulfillment… everything.

Obviously you want more of it, and obviously you don’t want to work for it… unless you enjoy work…

Work here doesn’t apply only to work that you do to earn money. Anything that you have to do consciously against your own laziness, ego, dark side, is considered work in Kabbalah.

The Soul Corrections are a list of types of work, one can do to earn light. Tell the truth, face the tiger, reveal your dark side, let go of superiority, circulate money, honor, respect, care for and about others… lots of them, and you probably have heard at least most of them. You consider them virtues…

Now, like all useful systems, it works on checks and balances, and it can be rigged.

The secret of a meaningful life?

7-paths-to-a-meaningul-lifeIn this article, I am going to use the Monday Morning Memo by Roy Williams to teach you something about a meaningful life, that I am certain you don’t yet know… consciously.

It’s about what give you the quality of your life… Really. What…

This may be one of the most missing distinctions of our century… so please read it. And please know, I am at odds with this Roy Williams article… So don’t fall in love with it, until you read my entire post.

Osho: Baby, my whole work is to confuse you!

I want to confuse you. Confusion is a high state of consciousness.I haven’t had many people say that I confuse them, 2 probably because to say that is confrontational, and only about 4% of you is confrontational. Not that you don’t think that, but it takes courage and individuality to utter those words, and you don’t have it in you.

What would it take to say those words, without animosity, without anger, without pointing fingers? If you could solve that conundrum for yourself, life would be a lot better, wouldn’t it?

Until the age of about 40, my biggest issue was what to do with my anger. I made up a story, based on accidental coincidences, that my anger kills… and that I am a murderer. Obviously, with that cornerstone of a belief, it was impossible for me to express my anger in a socially acceptable way, so I suppressed, and then I exploded, and I repeated that pattern for 40 years, to my detriment.

I had ulcers, nervous breakdowns, depression, insomnia… not pleasant.

So, for me to learn to be confrontational, confronted and response, confronted and be well, calm and collected, was a huge shift in my being, in the right direction.

Anyway, here is a talk transcribed from Osho, that I think you’ll enjoy. 3

Baby, my whole work is to confuse you!

Psychic and Spiritual Exploitation by Fake Gurus

This is a tremendous Osho talk… timeless, and distinguishes what gets you hooked on false gurus, what they use to hook you… Pay attention: it is not easy to get that you are the cause, they are just opportunistic: you give them the opportunity to exploit you.

Once you become clear, once you move your whole self into your Witness position, you’ll be invulnerable, because you’ll have the clarity, and you’ll have accepted “the work” you need to do.

If you don’t have a ton of questions after reading this article, you are beyond hope… so please go someplace where you can be exploited: that is what you are looking for. Harsh? Yeah.

One more thing: I never talk about shaktipat because I have never experienced it. I never talk about shaktipat because I have never known a person who actually received energy, I have only talked to guys that have a vivid imagination and a shitty life…

Osho on Psychic & Spiritual Exploitation by Fake Gurus

Question – Is Psychic Exploitation possible in the name of Shaktipat? How is it possible And how is the Meditator to guard against it?

I have been having suicidal thoughts… What does the echo say?

being guided by the echoSometimes having someone to talk to, someone who can listen, instead of trying to solve your problems, is the best thing that can happen to you.

But there are things that are hard to share.

And then, if you are the one who is supposed to be there for others, no one expects you to have problems, or to be there for you. You are alone, and that is that.

All my life I have been the strong one, and no one ever expected me to need them to listen to me. So when I needed someone to listen, I had to pay them. It’s expensive. And now I don’t even trust anyone to just listen… so it’s tough.

Visualization and other booby prizes: consolation prize

Visualization and other booby prizes: consolation prize
you flock to the fake...Consolation culture: The Culture of Booby Prize

Society, your world, specializes in consolation. 4 There is no progress, no, advancement, no better life, no more freedom, no anything… but a lot of consolation.

The language is this: You didn’t get X, you wanted, but at least you have your Y, health, husband that hates you, children that nag you, job that you don’t enjoy.

Osho on Knowledge and Knowing. Zen is just Zen

Osho on Knowledge and Knowing. Zen is just Zen

Osho_quoteASCENDING TO THE HIGH SEAT, DOGEN ZENJI SAID: “ZEN MASTER HOGEN STUDIED WITH KEISHIN ZENJI.
ONCE KEISHIN ZENJI ASKED HIM, JOZA, WHERE DO YOU GO?’
HOGEN SAID. ‘I AM MAKING PILGRIMAGE AIMLESSLY.’
KEISHIN SAID, ‘WHAT IS THE MATTER OF YOUR PILGRIMAGE?’
HOGEN SAID, ‘I DON’T KNOW.’
KEISHIN SAID, ‘NOT KNOWING IS THE MOST INTIMATE.’
HOGEN SUDDENLY ATTAINED GREAT ENLIGHTENMENT.”

ZEN IS JUST ZEN. There is nothing comparable to it. It is unique — unique in the sense that it is the most ordinary and yet the most extraordinary phenomenon that has happened to human consciousness. It is the most ordinary because it does not believe in knowledge, it does not believe in mind. It is not a philosophy, not a religion either. It is the acceptance of the ordinary existence with a total heart, with one’s total being, not desiring some other world, supra-mundane, supra-mental.

Judgment: What is judgment? what is it really? The whole picture…

Judgment

Update: When we are on a lower level of consciousness, we think it is all about us. What we do, what other people say, our results… everything. So our “self” is always in danger of falling off its pedestal, and we feel that with it we die.

The reason: we can’t tell, we don’t even think, that we and our actions are not the same. We can’t see that we do something, and the results of those actions don’t change who we are… there is no real connection. The results are the results, you are you, no connection. Are you using your adult capacities?

babies capacities match their ageThe first Osho book I have ever read, was Maturity. I started to read it in the store, and fell in love with it.

It echoed one of my favorite Landmark Education courses, the Wisdom Course.

In that course, maturity was a state (they call it possibility, just a Landmark Education word!): where you were using adult capacities to live your life.

One would think that when you are an adult you use your adult capacities, but that is not the case.
