Self-love, self-hate… let’s dig deep on these, shall we?

Self-love, self-hate… let’s dig deep on these, shall we?

Integrity is an inside job. It is between you and yourself.

Everyone has two selves, one that is perfect, and the other that is flawed.

The perfect one is generous, loving, unconditionally. It is compassionate.

The flawed one KNOWS, i.e. assumes that it is judged, looked down upon, and is full of hatred, anger, fear, anxiety, rebellion, and expects to be loved and accepted the way it is… and even though is loved, and accepted… it can only feel its own emotions.

This is so with every emotion. You can’t feel the love that is coming towards you. You can only feel the love that you feel for the other, Your love. Your anger. Your hate.

So no matter how much the perfect self loves the flawed self, the flawed self will feel judged… hated, despised, etc.

I have been observing my clients and my students, and there is one common characteristic that only varies in intensity: and that is self-hate… and stinginess towards self… as in punishing the self for not being perfect. Continue reading “Self-love, self-hate… let’s dig deep on these, shall we?”

Homeostasis, growth, coaching, teaching… push or pull?

Homeostasis, growth, coaching, teaching… push or pull?

homeostasis upset by brain damageI had massive brain damage back in 1998, and many of my brain processing centers went dark… Pushing me out of homeostasis.

Looking back, having that brain damage is what helps me to do the work I do now. Because of that brain damage I experienced isolated parts of my intellect not being there, even though previously they were there, and of course were taken for granted. I just saw what I saw, did what I did. No big deal.

Reading and re-reading the novel, Flowers for Algernon was of tremendous help to know what was going on really.

If you only watched the movie, Charlie, you don’t, you didn’t think what there was to think, that capacities can disappear, but the memory of them is still there, the name of them is still there, so the only valid identification of a capacity is possible only through losing it. What does humility have to do with prejudice? Spiritual cataract?

What does humility have to do with prejudice? Spiritual cataract?

spiritual cataract the about-me scoreIn this article I’ll explain how the high about-me score (low humility) works, and how it manifests in real life… like a spiritual cataract: prejudice on the basis of race, gender, nationality, social status, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation… and what concern me most: against Jews. Not pretty. Sign of a spiritual cataract and low intelligence.

This article is disturbing (or at least I hope so). So if you are a sissy… don’t read it. And if you can’t be bothered… don’t read it.

The other day I started to watch a Hungarian Holocaust movie… Son of Saul, and managed to watch a whole 23 minutes in six or seven little ‘installments’.

Very graphic, the most graphic movie I have ever attempted to watch. Continue reading “What does humility have to do with prejudice? Spiritual cataract?”

The winding, meandering path to success…

The winding, meandering path to success…

winding river the path to successEveryone wants to understand BEFORE they take a step onto the path to success. But putting one foot in front of the other, with awareness is what allows you to get to where you want to get to.

Some people are crazy smart. They see everything laid out like a street map where I see nothing… or I see, maybe, one step, and therefore I am filled with fear and trepidation. I can’t see beyond that one step.

I am sure you can relate to this and relate to the ‘inner voice’ the mind saying: you are never going to make it.

And sometimes you find someone whose entire processing style is less intimidating, someone who doesn’t profess to see everything, although they may, and will take you step by tiny step.

Because step by step doesn’t necessarily take understanding, which is elusive, really, it takes putting one foot in front of the other. Continue reading “The winding, meandering path to success…”

Are you trying to learn PhD level without having done kindergarten?

Are you trying to learn PhD level without having done kindergarten?

Before I buy something, a new tool, a nonfiction book, I muscletest if I should buy it.

In essence I ask Source a yes/no question. Shall I buy it?

I get a no answer more often than a yes. And then I ask some clarifying questions, one of them is: is it too advanced for me? More often than not the answer is yes.

Unless I have mastered, literally mastered the basics in that specific topic or discipline, Source will recommend that I don’t buy that course, tool, or book. Continue reading “Are you trying to learn PhD level without having done kindergarten?”

Ask a good question, win $50

Ask a good question, win

Ask a good question… on a health topic of your choosing. It’s worth $50 to me.

If it is a good question, I’ll answer it in an audio, and in addition to getting the answer, you will win a $50. Not credit, but real god honest cash.

I leave the topic up to you, with one restriction: it has to be on health.

Good questions are hard to come by.

There is an entire site dedicated to good question… the ones that get a lot of answers are the best questions. Why?

Because the question reflects what people are thinking of, what is interesting to people, not just you. Continue reading “Ask a good question, win $50”

Alive with pleasure… if that’s you, don’t read this article

Alive with pleasure… if that’s you, don’t read this article

One of the most attractive things I learned in Landmark Education is this: The Universe gets to you in one of three ways: Truth, Beauty or Goodness.

This statement says that the Universe can move you to tears, and you’ll feel alive inside. After all feeling alive is maybe the most missing for us: we are alive, we are breathing, eating, maybe even procreating, but we don’t often feel alive. I don’t.

Feeling alive is a special feeling. I remember an advertising line: Alive with pleasure. It was selling cigarettes… but I remember longingly trying on being alive with pleasure. I didn’t smoke.

So yesterday I was thinking of my clients and students and contemplated if I could guess what way the Universe would MOVE them, Truth, Beauty or Goodness.

I was wrong every time. Hm… so I looked further. Continue reading “Alive with pleasure… if that’s you, don’t read this article”

Are you a lone wolf? The capacity of inclusivity…

Are you a lone wolf? The capacity of inclusivity…

Some animals are lone rangers… hunt alone. Maybe eat their young when hungry. Other animals hunt in a pack. Humans are supposedly pack animals, but individuals dare to differ. I am not a pack animal, although when I find a group of people who welcome me, I get all teary eyed… but even then: I’ll do my own thing, and ‘belong’ to the pack as a leader. And if I can’t be a leader, if I can’t have a voice, I don’t want to be there.

Which means: humans vary in many regards, and this is just one of them.

As a kid I was the black sheep. For years I wasn’t even included in family dinners… my mother sent my food in on a tray with my little brother.

I felt excluded. Thrown out. Left out. Continue reading “Are you a lone wolf? The capacity of inclusivity…”

What level is your emotional intelligence? Your EQ…

What level is your emotional intelligence? Your EQ…

I was lead to an old article of mine. Controversial, and I bet not very useful for most people…

I wrote it in 2012. I have grown a lot since then.

In the article I was attempting to guide you to detect truth value, estimate the vibration teachers and products… without muscletesting.

In the article I was making the same mistake I have been making, all my life: supposing that you can see patterns, that you can see behind the curtain, that you can see more than you actually can.

Emotional intelligence, the capacity to be aware of, control, and express one’s emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically, seeing emotional patterns, being able to detect lies, not by rigid made up rules, like in law enforcement, but to actually see something that another is trying to hide, or someone trying to make airs, or such… requires a lot higher emotional and overall intelligence than most of us have.

Is focus useful or harmful? It depends…

Is focus useful or harmful? It depends…

tight focus relaxed focusSometimes the teacher fails to tell you the crucial, most important thing that they should tell you… not out of malice, but out of not knowing that it matters.

No matter what is the topic, the area, this happens all the time.

If you don’t get the results your teacher promised, this is probably what’s going it, this is probably what went on.

Why wide angle, big picture attitude on the hammer exercises is the winning way to do it?

How you do anything is how you do everything. Continue reading “Is focus useful or harmful? It depends…”
