Cluelessness is a strategy. As if you don’t look it isn’t

Cluelessness is a strategy…

cluelessnessCluelessness is a strategy to avoid having to take responsibility, to avoid owning that your results are your results. Failure is a result.

And because it is impossible to heal and eradicate something that’s hidden and ignored, this cluelessness hides what you consider some of your most important excuses for being nasty, hateful, angry, and slothful. Continue reading “Cluelessness is a strategy. As if you don’t look it isn’t”

Is it burnout? Is it resignation? Is it hopelessness?

Is it burnout? Is it resignation? Is it hopelessness?

is it bornout? deperssion. overwhelm? hopelssness? It is hard to remain motivated nowadays. I watch and this year only about 4% of the people work out in the park next to where I live. Only 5% of the people do much of anything that they used to. It is hard to stay hopeful.

People look and feel burned out.

Burnout is when activities that made sense in the past, that maybe even excited you in the past are now drudgery. It can happen with anything: talking to someone, making love to someone, taking care of the garden, cooking, building a business, reading…

It’s not the what, it is the who.

You. You lost what it was…

But what was it? Without recapturing what it was, or creating something just like it, you are going to have a life of meh…

Or a life where you are going to be an excitement seeker, an addict.

It is human nature to look into the future for our mood…. Continue reading “Is it burnout? Is it resignation? Is it hopelessness?”

Remembering the future… or how to cause self-trust?

Remembering the future… or how to cause self-trust?
self-trustRemembering the Future…

This methodology is revolutionary… but let’s not get ahead of ourselves…

What future? What remembering? What can it do? What is self-trust? Is it the same as self-esteem?

Three questions to cause you to implement what you learn

Three questions to cause you to implement what you learn

Most people feel stuck. It doesn’t feel good. And they want to be unstuck… but they don’t know how.

Three questions can take you from where you are at now to movement… onto the path to wherever you would like to be.

I have lead a workshop about a hundred times that asked slightly different questions, and it strikes me funny now, that maybe I have been asking the questions that are ‘fixing’ based… not what I wanted.

The old workshop asked:

what’s working
what’s not working?
What are you doing in that area? Who are you being? (attitude) What are you having? (results)
Who would you need to be so what isn’t working can start working, maybe even brilliantly? Continue reading “Three questions to cause you to implement what you learn”

Are you homo sapiens or human being? Let’s look…

Are you homo sapiens or human being? Let’s look…

evolutionWhat is the evolutionary difference between homo sapiens and human being?

Homo Sapiens is the evolutionary level where current humanity is. There is no one at the present time beyond that level.

I guess the famous and made up story of the 100th monkey is about an evolutionary leap, but it hasn’t happened.

The cost of believing in the power of mind

The cost of believing in the power of mind

people don't think... and thinking is power. You are supposedly the peak of evolution… and you supposedly have a brilliant tool: your thinking brain. But when you only use it to do mind-functions, remembering and recalling, you use only 1-3% of its power… and you are a slave. Unless you have the courage to learn to use your brain correctly… you’ll remain a slave.

A famous physics professor, one day, was shaking his head.

‘I can’t teach them physics the way I learned physics’ he complained.

I interview students for my graduate program, and they are all, almost all, unable to think for themselves.

When they show up for the interview, I ask them: Why are you wearing the suit jacket you are wearing?

Not dyslexic? What can you learn from dyslexic entrepreneurs?

Not dyslexic? What can you learn from dyslexic entrepreneurs?

dyslexics don't make good employeesIs it dyslexia that makes these entrepreneurs successful, or is it the strategy they developed to manage and overcome the effects of dyslexia?

There are disproportionately more dyslexic entrepreneurs than in the rest of society? Society: 5-20%. Entrepreneurs: 35%

It’s not an accident.

I have dyslexia. My younger brother has dyslexia. He is six years younger than me. we are as different as two people can be. I am a risk taker, he isn’t. I am an entrepreneur. He isn’t. I read a lot, he doesn’t. I am a loner, he is a family man.

puzzled expression

I have always seen the world differently… and was called amoral, stupid, fearless, weird, and people, including my mother looked at me with puzzlement on their faces… like WTF? Continue reading “Not dyslexic? What can you learn from dyslexic entrepreneurs?”

We are not in Kansas anymore…

We are not in Kansas anymore…

This article is about how you need to change so your business can be more successful in this new economy, this new business climate.

I am muddling through to see what what I saw this past Thursday will mean to me… what new actions, what new thinking, what new everything it might mean.

Why? What happened on Thursday?

As you know, I am in a coaching program with some 80 other people who have a business or want to have a business…

It’s not cheap. It has sessions with different coaches every weekday. I attend two of those… the rest, if I am interested, I watch the replay.

It seems, from the questions, that one of the issues every business deals with, or should, is this…. Continue reading “We are not in Kansas anymore…”

Flexible, floppy. and rigid… which one are you?

Flexible, floppy. and rigid… which one are you?
flexible, floppy, rigid? What is the difference between people who grow and people who don’t?

When you look at people’s core we see three ways the core behaves:

  • strong and flexible – they will
  • weak and floppy – they can’t
  • weak and rigid – they won’t

Depending on your core you’ll behave in life… So what determines what your core will be like? Continue reading “Flexible, floppy. and rigid… which one are you?”

Authenticity: what does being authentic get you?

Authenticity: what does being authentic get you?

authenticityI am a foreigner. I learned the English words, one by one. Since the age of 10… English was my third language. I have become fluent in 6 languages thus far.

I only started to learn the beingness words when I came to the United States at age 38 and started working on my transformation.

First, let me say what I mean by transformation: I don’t mean change, I don’t mean losing weight, I don’t mean that I or something outside of me changes. What does change is what I see… by looking at things differently.

And because your actions will be ALWAYS consistent with what you see, as a result my actions, my attitude, my mood will change, automatically.

I had had a glimpse of what’s possible for me… but it’s taken me a few decades to be able to see the world from a place from where life feels OK, I feel OK, and from where I can feel joy, freedom, and peace of mind, almost 24/7.

Back to beingness words

The first beingness word I looked into was generosity. I was a total beginner at distinguishing. Continue reading “Authenticity: what does being authentic get you?”
