Goals, path, intentionality, agenda, forcefulness, and Zen

Goals, path, intentionality, agenda, forcefulness, and Zen

i-took-the-path-less-traveled-and-it-made-all-the-differenceI had an interesting insight this morning. I woke up with the wicked vertigo back… I moved my neck the wrong way in exercise class… And I didn’t experience the despair, and the urgent desire to fix it. Or will it away. I observed it, and the secondary symptoms that go with it.

I live a goal-less life.

I don’t get frustrated, I don’t get excited, I don’t push, I don’t force, I don’t rush. I don’t do things for a reason either.

I do what I do. Some are creative. Some are response. Some are maintenance of stuff. I read, I cook, I try to move my body, I reflect a lot. I notice the birds. I notice the trees. It’s very Zen.

Are you good enough to achieve your goals?

Are you good enough to achieve your goals?

so close yet so far! unattainable from where you are standingI suddenly got a glimpse why people are resisting doing my 67 steps coaching.

It came from Step 19 of the 67 steps… where you are asked to budget lots of money to just read… Read anything… Any good book.

And the resistance of people is tremendous. Because… this is what I wrote to a student of mine (whose yet unattainable goal is to make money) in my coaching:

I think admitting that you need to raise your foundation, from which you attempt to make money is difficult, because it is like a summary judgment on YOU…

“do you mean I am not good enough to make money the way I am”

Yes, that may be the truth… Yes, that is what I am saying.

Soul Correction: How do you do it?

Soul Correction: How do you do it?

life-blockedSoul correction is the pivoting point, the fulcrum around which a person can go from gene driven to someone who can become, potentially, an expanding human being.

Said in another way, each person has a particular and typical to their soul correction way that is stuck in a lower way of being.

The most frequent question I hear: how do you fix it? or as one my students said it: “this whole thing turns a lot of corners. I’m not sure i can even recognize all the ways i use it. Nor how to climb out of it.”

The answer will surprise you: The moment you are trying to “climb out of it” or “fix it”… you enter a world of pretense.

Both climbing out and fixing are the genes’ way of pulling the wool over your eyes. To push back the hidden deeper into the invisible.

Your self-esteem and your self-control: what is the connection?

Your self-esteem and your self-control: what is the connection?

duality-wordpicPeople, all people are puzzled and disturbed by their dual nature. You love and hate, drip with envy, at times taken over by desire… while you consider yourself sane, and nice, and compassionate and goal-driven.

It is natural to be dual in nature, and it is natural to be puzzled about it, be disturbed about it. If you pay attention, this is the main reason humans invented religion… to make sense of this duality.

The drive to suppress one side of this duality, to declare it bad, or a sin is part of human nature. Human nature is to strive for simple, obvious, and clear… to strive for certainty. A sense of control or a sense that you can control your world.

If you are one of my students who isn’t getting better… Or not as fast as you hoped you would

If you are one of my students who isn’t getting better… Or not as fast as you hoped you would

did-not-come-to-stop-hereIf you are one of my students who isn’t getting better… Or not as fast as you hoped you would, you should ask the question: Why you won’t follow a system, why you lie, why you’ll never amount to anything worthwhile?

This article will attempt to point you to some answers…

Our tendency to socialize and spend time with people with our lesser (at least in our not so humble opinion) is so strong, and so “normal”, that I expect you not to recognize it in yourself.

Why? Because the desire to do that does not come from our conscious self, it comes from our “other than conscious” self, the selfish gene.

The secret everyone misses. Thinking about flying isn’t…

The secret everyone misses. Thinking about flying isn’t…

les-brown-quoteI wrote this article back in March… before I got my health number up… So it is only half true about myself, and fully true about you…

Read this article as if you were a sleuth… the words I want you to pay attention to is “need to”, “want to”, “have to”, and “should”.

Life is much like a sword play… You can do it… as slash slash or elegantly, economical precise practiced movements, like a dance. 1

I saw something this morning.

I was knocked awake… painfully.

How many things you know how to do, how many things can you do?

Are you healthy enough to have meaning? Purpose?

Are you healthy enough to have meaning? Purpose?

This is my quest: to follow that star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far.

Meaning: Following THAT Star. The alternative is Meaningless
This is my quest: to follow that star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far.

Humans are strange animals: they need meaning to make their lives to feel more than just existing. They need purpose to give a backbone, to give direction, to transform a life of prose to poetry.

Anything less is not inspiring… and not inspiring means dead… drab… drudgery. Continue reading “Are you healthy enough to have meaning? Purpose?”

Can you heal yourself? Holographic universe or intelligent universe?

asimov-quote-beliefs-realityMy habit is to read one or two non-fiction books, cover to cover, the old fashioned way, and then about 600 pages worth of fiction.

My choice of fiction is historical novels, mostly. I like the short and sweet novellas 60-120 page long pieces, from the Foreworld Saga, that for me started with the book Mongoliad.

These books are perfect for me. They are fantastical. They always have heroes, and incredible odds, and the characters are larger than life.

Just like I used the Medium series to learn how to hold guidance, I am using these books to show me how guidance can be even more difficult to see ahead of time, and why it is so important to surrender one’s immediate agenda to guidance.

Becoming-a-human-being interrupted… Freud?

Today has been a wonderful day… until I had a realization.

Until you make peace with your parents, none of my work will work for you.

Why? I will ponder that… maybe by the end of this article I’ll know.

What’s been happening? Continue reading “Becoming-a-human-being interrupted… Freud?”

Never really say no? What does it do to you and your life?

Never really say no? What does it do to you and your life?
Master-the-art-of-saying-no-so-you-can-say-yes-to-what-matters-most-e1357110457770You can’t say yes until you said no.

Saying no feels rude. Any type of no. Setting your boundaries, hanging up the phone, saying you are busy…

Even when no one knows you have a hard time saying no.

How do I know? I just observed myself.

The price of being polite, agreeable, and accommodating

I was on a webinar where they showed how to use a graphics software and it was really good and really enjoyable. Then they started to pitch a bonus… I don’t care about the offer. Continue reading “Never really say no? What does it do to you and your life?”
