Tikkun is soul correction.
Why does the soul need correction?
Because the original vessel that became the souls of humanity was created for pure receiving. And although it was ‘infected’ with the desire to receive for the sake of sharing, its base and original nature is desire to receive for the self alone.
Each soul correction aka Tikkun has a different way of desire to receive for the self alone…
With that said: your Tikkun is your soul correction.
My tikkun, my soul-correction is ‘Forget Thyself.’ That is #34. You get to the soul correction number through adding up the individual digits of your date of birth. It will be a two digit number…
Ultimately, we could guess that soul correction is a Kabbalistic numerology guided phenomenon.

I tried different wordings, neither of them made a difference, until today.
As I was reflecting on the last article I wrote, it occurred to me that one of my ‘unanswerable questions’ is:
‘Am I smart enough?’
If a question is unanswerable, you want to know the answer all the more. So I have been asking this question since time immemorial, and I have been getting yeses and nos… never any clarity.
I have been asking the wrong question, and when you ask the wrong question, your attention is on the wrong thing. (True, I could ask the same question more generally. A question that helps you can find yourself in it. In case your question is not about your mental capabilities, like mine. Maybe I could ask: Is what I am doing now make me look good? Is what I am doing now say that I am good/ worthy/ smart/ capable/ handsome/ creative/ informed/ educated/loser… etc. etc. )
But all those questions? The ego asks them, not you. And the ego is only interested in its own survival. It is classic ‘desire to receive for the self alone.’ No effort necessary to worry about yourself.
It’s our wiring that is like that. Our wiring is to have a hidden layer. A hidden layer underneath this seemingly innocent concern. and that concern is: do I look better than x, am I smarter than x, am I able to win in this competition that exists in my mind with x? The question the Selfish Gene is asking.
When you reveal that layer for yourself, you can see it. You can see that in the moment you are in THAT inquiry, you just disconnected from the Light. –>
Any concern for yourself disconnects you from the Light. Any concern for yourself is desire to receive for the self alone.
So the Tikkun is performed over a lifetime. Actually managing your desire to receive for the self alone.
There are many different ways to approach this, I teach my method through a Soul Correction workshop, and other workshops as well.
