Stuff we see we solve, the stuff we don’t see kicks our ass

Turning the impossible possible…. results in flow

I have been listening to a podcast… two and a half hour long, so I can take only a half hour here, a half hour there…

The sentences above are from that podcast… a conversation about how to get into your flow state.

Because I have client with a half-done Juice Exercise call, I am looking for some help in that podcast… some more inspiration than I already have… More faith, more confidence… Continue reading “Stuff we see we solve, the stuff we don’t see kicks our ass”

If adaptability is the most fundamental predictor…

…then your most important concern should be: how can I can more adaptable … right?

In you our relationship to life so you can have more chance for a happy life.

Darwin said that the species that is the most adaptable to changes will survive.

One can also say that it is true not just for a species but also for individuals.

Adaptable doesn’t mean meek, doesn’t mean able to subsist in suboptimal circumstances, it actually means being able to thrive no matter what’s going on. Adapt and initiate. Continue reading “If adaptability is the most fundamental predictor…”

Hard time keeping your attention on something?

I noticed something this morning.

  • If you keep your attention on your results
  • If you think that your results will prove that you are smart, etc.
  • If it is important to you that you look good/you are considered smart

Then you will be unwilling, or at least reluctant to look long enough so you can see, in a chess-like manner, where a series of steps take you.

You will be stuck in the fixit mode… where every trouble will require a silver bullet, a big red button, a one size fit all solution.

Examples:

Example 1: This guy moved house. He got busy building an addition, now he is building an outdoor fire pit, while he is low on energy, languishes, and complains.

He and his wife decided to try meditation. He wants to do it so he can direct his attention. Continue reading “Hard time keeping your attention on something?”

Kick with one foot at a time or fall on your arse

‘You can only kick with one foot at a time, Otherwise you fall on your arse.’

You can only pick one thing that you want out of life, and if you pick the wrong thing, you’ll never be successful.
…Joel Salatin said, ‘the worst thing in life is to get older and realize you got good at the wrong thing.’

You would think that the title is about multi-tasking. But it isn’t. It is a life that is un-integrated.

So what is an integrated life? Continue reading “Kick with one foot at a time or fall on your arse”

Intuitive, counter intuitive… what is that? Should you be intuitive?

The title of this post is tricky: what we consider intuitive and counter-intuitive, are most what answer the question: does it make sense?

And if it makes sense, then it is Tree of Knowledge, then it fits in with all the stuff that’s stored in your mind, and in society’s collective mind, and it is 99% certain to be wrong.

The real intuitive guidance you get needs you to be disconnected from Mind, and be connected to All-of-It… and that, for most people, has been impossible.

Most people would benefit from this story:

Discover what is special about you, what makes you you?

In the exercise, “what do you want to be acknowledged for?” you have a chance to discover what is special about you.

To be able to love life, to do fulfilling work, you need to know and organize your life around what is special about you.

I just acknowledged a woman for what she wanted to be acknowledged for.

I have known her for some time, but it turns out: I didn’t know her at all. The organizing principle was missing, so I added my opinion to organize her around in my mind: scared.

But it turns out that she moved from one country to another to start a new life, away from a husband she no longer wanted. Start a new life without a support network, from scratch. Continue reading “Discover what is special about you, what makes you you?”

The Integrated Good Life & The Four Pillars Of Eudaimonia

Plants are integratedThe Integrated Good Life & The Four Pillars Of Eudaimonia

Eudamonia: the fulfilled life. The satisfying life. It’s a how… It’s about how much life you have in your years. Fulfilling the potential that you are.

It’s impossible to have “the Good Life” without Integration… but… 1

One of the hardest steps for students to complete in the 67 step coaching is the step about creating an integrated life.

Why? Because on the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil, there is no such a thing as integration.

Taking a break for rest… does it mean you are off-track?

life-testing-youI watched and followed the first Metabolic Prime workout videos.

He said something interesting that I want to expand on: resting is part of working out.

Now, I don’t know much about working out, but I do have some experience… This article won’t be about working out though…

I live on the top of a hill. When I moved here 13 years ago, I could walk down, around the hill, and up again, on a different street, in 12 minutes. I clocked it.

Today, due to aging, pain, and lack of exercise, it takes me 3-4 times longer. A big deal.

So when I signed up to the senior exercise class, I was praying that I could get back up the hill, on my own power… but took money with me for a cab for security.

This was three weeks ago. Continue reading “Taking a break for rest… does it mean you are off-track?”

What can YOU reasonably expect from any program?

The most popular page on this site, www.yourvibration.com, is my Mind Movies review page.

So I decided to add a few words to it… I added this today:

what results you can expect from a program?Bad news: no matter what program you buy, if you remain the same inside, small, arrogant, and fearful, no program will do anything for you… For most people there is a chasm, a big divide between what they want and what they do… And that big divide needs to be bridged by small purposeful actions. But the problem I see with any results based goal setting program: most people are incapable of designing the small actions, let alone doing them. So the success rate of a program like Mind Movies is way less than 1%…

Are you healthy enough to have meaning? Purpose?

This is my quest: to follow that star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far.

Meaning: Following THAT Star. The alternative is Meaningless
This is my quest: to follow that star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far.

Humans are strange animals: they need meaning to make their lives to feel more than just existing. They need purpose to give a backbone, to give direction, to transform a life of prose to poetry.

Anything less is not inspiring… and not inspiring means dead… drab… drudgery. Continue reading “Are you healthy enough to have meaning? Purpose?”
