What is the difference between you and someone smarter?

Do you think it would be worthwhile to learn what is the difference between you and someone really ‘smart’? So you can become smarter, maybe even really smart?

Someone really smart makes fewer mistakes in every area of life. They know what to take personally and what not to. They know how to spend their money. And they also make smarter choices. They get paid more because they spend more of their time with what produces value. Etc. Etc. Continue reading “What is the difference between you and someone smarter?”

Your life-success score is low… how do you raise it?

Your life-success score is low… how do you raise it?
Your starting point measurements tell me the whole story that you are.

And the picture of putting all those starting point measurements together also tells me how humanity as a whole is doing.

Pitiful.

But why?

Most people think that what they do when they are at their best, when they go to church in their best church-going outfit, when they are smart, nice, funny, or can answer a question right… that that is who they are. Continue reading “Your life-success score is low… how do you raise it?”

When the lightening has no thunder, you can’t hear it…

When the lightening has no thunder, you can’t hear it…

Sometimes, actually quite often, changing one word could be the difference between living a life in quiet desperation and living a life in excitement and eagerness…

But what is the word? What is the word that makes the spirit that has been dormant in you open its eyes and say… let’s go? Let’s fly. Continue reading “When the lightening has no thunder, you can’t hear it…”

It’s not a rule of nature. It is YOUR rule. You made it up

It’s not a rule of nature. It is YOUR rule. You made it up

You’ve heard it said that, ‘Every person is entitled to their own opinion, but not to their own facts.‘ Yet we routinely craft our own facts from the fabric of personal experiences, preferences and prejudices.

A stereotype is nothing more than a pattern we’ve observed.

This pattern isn’t always predictive, but it is a pattern nonetheless and we trust it. We do this in the misbegotten belief that we have correctly interpreted our past experiences and that our preferences and prejudices are, in fact, correct and reliable interpretations of objective reality. We’re a funny, funny species, aren’t we? (~Roy Williams) Continue reading “It’s not a rule of nature. It is YOUR rule. You made it up”

What do you expect? Perfection? Winning? No mistakes?

What do you expect? Perfection? Winning? No mistakes?
What do you expect? Perfection? Winning every time? Never making a mistake?

I caught myself this morning saying something really intelligent. (probably because of the movie I watched last night)

I always learn marketing. So I just participated in a 3-day event… I have three things I want to implement. Three things that I just learned at this event. The event that ended last night.

Of course, most of the things I learned will replace my ineffective marketing actions from before the event.

And there is a moment of reckoning:

I have been doing it all wrong. And I have spent a lot of money advertising the wrong way. I have been doing a lot of work that is now all wasted.

Sinking feeling in the stomach.

Should you address directly what you want?

Should you address directly what you want?

T Harv Eker talks about the inner game and the outer game. He is the multi-multi-multi-multi-multi-millionaire… as he calls himself, so he teaches money. The secret of the millionaire mind… lol.

Most people who come to my site want more money. And they want to, maybe, change their inner money game, but there is no such thing.

Unfortunately working on what you want to change is an ineffective approach to changing it. Working on a relationship never worked. for example. Continue reading “Should you address directly what you want?”

What is the work, the spiritual work you are asked to do?

What is the work, the spiritual work you are asked to do?

People share one major feeling: a sense a danger, a sense that pain or death is coming. We call it fear.

Depending on how someone handles fear is how humanity can ultimately belong to two groups.

We could also look at anger as a divider, but let’s stick with fear first. Continue reading “What is the work, the spiritual work you are asked to do?”

What creates the warped worldview that keeps you the same?

What creates the warped worldview that keeps you the same?

How you look at today comes from a worldview that you created for yourself at or around 3 year old age.

You can go and learn anything, philosophy, theology, Marxism, and yet, at the root of your worldview, the way you look at everything was created by an upset 3-year old.

At age 3, with very rare exceptions, we are all, when I compare you to an adult, dumb.

Even geniuses, like the little boy who played chess… emotionally, even these young geniuses are little kids… no sign of mature sensibilities. Continue reading “What creates the warped worldview that keeps you the same?”

Does your environment allow you to be yourself?

Does your environment allow you to be yourself?
In life, you have as much room to be as your environment grants you.

Room as in elbow room…

The environment you are in, at home, at work, at the pub, at the club, in the community van…

My brother has a lot of room to be when he is with his friends. Continue reading “Does your environment allow you to be yourself?”

4 principles for a fulfilling, financially rewarding life

4 principles for a fulfilling, financially rewarding life

I look at my dreams as guidance.

Now, you need to know that I almost never dream a whole story… I dream moods. Some situations.

Last night I dreamed about going back to Israel, meeting people I had known, experiencing their attitude towards me. Wasn’t pleasant.

And just before I woke up I was shown the theme I am going to write about. Continue reading “4 principles for a fulfilling, financially rewarding life”
