The capacity of seeing patterns…the threshold capacity

alberteinstein118979I am reading a book, Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise. I am reading it because I want to be able to teach my students better, so they can leave behind the level of ordinary school learning, the pedestrian learning that always produces pedestrian result.

Amateurish performance, amateurish life. 1

The DNA, the blueprint that heralds the evolution of humans, the inactive 160 spiritual capacities, don’t become needed, and therefore won’t turn on, or won’t stay on, in a pedestrian, amateurish life where one doesn’t go consistently beyond their limits, intellectually, spiritually.

Can you heal yourself? Holographic universe or intelligent universe?

asimov-quote-beliefs-realityMy habit is to read one or two non-fiction books, cover to cover, the old fashioned way, and then about 600 pages worth of fiction.

My choice of fiction is historical novels, mostly. I like the short and sweet novellas 60-120 page long pieces, from the Foreworld Saga, that for me started with the book Mongoliad.

These books are perfect for me. They are fantastical. They always have heroes, and incredible odds, and the characters are larger than life.

Just like I used the Medium series to learn how to hold guidance, I am using these books to show me how guidance can be even more difficult to see ahead of time, and why it is so important to surrender one’s immediate agenda to guidance.

Healing… is that a negative word? Is that a sign of negativity?

negative-positiveDid you know that if you say: I need healing, what you are saying is that you are sick?

This includes inner healing, faith healing, etc…

And when you start from something wrong… like “I am sick”, you are on your way to create a context that is misery every step of the way.

If I needed to define what negativity is, it’s that “what is is wrong, and it needs to be fixed.”

Yesterday I was leading my Theta State training webinar, and I felt horrible. Partially, because I wasn’t feeling well myself. Partially because my students didn’t feel well. And yet partially because one of my students wrote to me, and I needed to feel their feelings stronger than they felt them… because I am an empath.

Second Wind: Abilities or effort? The role of effort

Second Wind: Abilities or effort? The role of effort

second windEveryone can get to the good life, but not everyone will get to the good life. Why? Because not everyone is willing to do what they need to do to get to the good life.
Tai Lopez said that. What he didn’t say: you need to go beyond where you are comfortable, so you’ll need a second wind.

And it is true on certain conditions. Continue reading “Second Wind: Abilities or effort? The role of effort”

Updated: Happiness is an energetic phenomenon… remove blockages to restore the flow

restoring-the-flowHappiness is an energetic phenomenon, it is not a “feeling” per se, albeit it is a feeling of flow.

Well-being is also an energetic phenomenon… and just like happiness, it is a feeling of flow.

Flow is the undisturbed, unrestricted life force. It’s energetic. It is real. It is not a feeling… it cannot be pretended.

Your mind cannot pretend that there is flow, you cannot imagine flow and flow would happen. It happens the other way around: there is flow and then your mind catches up with it… only to often just block it again.

The “art” of blocking consciousness from seeing…

allowing consciousness to see moreThe art of seeing more of the world, the art of causing consciousness to see more of the world is to ask different questions.

Asking questions is not easy.

Questions come out from the top of the mind region… to clarify, verify, cement the worldview.

The value of these question is negative value. They make you more stuck in the mind than not asking that question.

These are the questions you mostly ask.

How to get “other” questions, questions that allow you to see more of the world or let consciousness see more of the world?

Simple. Let others ask the question. and Be willing to follow the questions down the rabbit hole…

Spiritual work: money

you are not done yetIn this article, I demonstrate what spiritual work is, through doing my own spiritual work… something I haven’t done, something that isn’t completed, but only started in this article.

What is money for you? Pennies? Dollars? numbers in the bank?

I caught myself this morning.

I, somewhere along the line, decided that money is coins.

As a kid, I collected coins in a wooden container. I stole coins from my parents’ coat pockets. I picked up coins from the dirt.

I felt rich. My brother envied me. The older brother I was in love with…

My mother called me a whore when I was three… and I associated it with money. Getting money.

My relationship to my parents could be told in the context of money.

Getting ready vs. procrastination. What’s the difference?

ahh-procrastinationI’ve introduced the distinctionnot ready, getting ready, ready” in another article.

If and when you look at your life through that distinction (remember, a distinction is like a hole you punched in the wall to look at your world anew, to see things differently) you are going to see a lot of things differently.

Without this distinction, life is a lot of yes/no, and there is a lot of forcing.

As if you had to be ready for anything and everything at all times.

But, truth be told, you aren’t. I am not either.

Should you strive for leaving a legacy to be remembered by?

footprint in the sandThis is continuing the theme I started in my last post, looking at your life and priorities. This is a politically incorrect article… The footnotes are really important in this article, don’t miss them.

Let’s take a near posthumous look at your life… so you can see what was important, and do it while you still have time.

If you are afraid of death: this is especially for you. 2

Someone who lives fully and does what is important to them, isn’t afraid of death. They weren’t afraid of life, they aren’t afraid of death. That doesn’t mean they want to die… they are just not driven to panic by the sight of an life that never happened.

Yesterday I spoke about wanting to get my work out… but upon further examination, I realized that I fell for the cultural, societal mumbo jumbo, that is designed to have you be unfulfilled, and lose your self interest.

What am I talking about?

About legacy… What is your legacy? Can you feel the cold hands of dread squeezing your heart?

A different way to look at priorities

prioritiesI just had a flash… A big bang.

We all have projects, and we all give it lip service, but don’t really do it… don’t really pursue our projects.

So, when a student of mine said: she needed to set priorities, I sent her this

I like the sound of setting priorities, but what is the principle of choosing priorities… what is the goal, the context of your life, that if you don’t achieve it, you’ll have regrets when you die?
