Managing yourself…

Managing yourself…

anger-lieLet me start with a story that will upset you:…

As I mentioned in an article yesterday, I just bought into a two thousand dollar program. It seems to be the best prepared program I have ever done, with amazing organization, attention to detail, little videos explaining everything again and again, purpose, how to find my way, what order to do things and why.

To my surprise I experienced hate as I was listening to the originator of this program.

He can do everything I can. This program already has thousands of people signed up. And I don’t think I matter to anyone, even though the teacher is emphasizing how much each person matters to him… I KNOW he is lying.

I have a chip on my shoulder. My ego is bruised… and… Continue reading “Managing yourself…”

Read it again: Your opportunities for breakthrough: You don’t know what you don’t know and You don’t even know there is something to know

you don't know what you are talking aboutFirst off: knowledge is grossly overrated.

Why? Because knowledge without application, without skills is useless. It won’t make you money, it won’t make you slim, good company, or a better driver.

We all grew up with the kind of education that emphasizes knowing, and we are all worse off for it.

Conscious awareness is the best predictor of worldly success… your worth a damn factor is close second

Conscious awareness is the best predictor of worldly success… your worth a damn factor is close second

classbart

To my surprise, people have no idea that their worth a damn factor has been neglected since they were little babies.

They get “encouragement” to not know that there is such a thing… and then they grow up to be seriously not worth a damn, and they suffer.

How does it work?

If you are consistently praised for being a good girl, a pretty girl, a smart girl… you’ll think that that is what there is to it. That is your ticket to the good life, to paradise.

A good method to find yourself and know yourself: your core

A good method to find yourself and know yourself: your core

I often catch myself stingy… if that is really what the beingness is…

Some 30 years ago I started a magazine. I didn’t want to put my own picture in the magazine, so I put a woman’s picture there who was a lot like me, instead.

It was self-protection, the sign of an intense aversion of being touched by someone I didn’t want to be touched by. I can feel it now that I am talking about it.

The same feeling but weaker comes up when I think of all the people coming to my site who I would not want to talk to.

A few years ago I listened to a talk by Frank Kern (personal vibration: 300). The video of that talk… Continue reading “A good method to find yourself and know yourself: your core”

Unless you know thine enemy, the enemy will always win

For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.

soccer-ball-in-the-faceLots of people argue that your subconscious or your ego are more important than what you are aware of consciously, but that may not be true.

Unless you know thine enemy, the enemy will always win: Your ego, the drive given to you by the genes and their selfish desire that is so often counter to your conscious desire .

For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple, and wrong.

Your decisions from the past that are now not in the conscious part of your brain: ditto. If you don’t know at least the most important decisions that have taken you to where you are… then they will continue to run the show, that is your life, and take you where you are headed.

Both other-than-conscious aspects (ego and past decisions)  need a lot of digging, observation, pondering, and then developing strategies to counter.

I have an unconscious desire to be broke. I have an unconscious desire to be sick. I have an unconscious desire to be an outcast. Continue reading “Unless you know thine enemy, the enemy will always win”

Why are you holding your breath? to manage your emotions?

Why are you holding your breath? to manage your emotions?

732290Why are you holding your breath? And why it is an ineffective way to manage your emotions…

I get insights in bite size chunks… here is a new insight I just got.

Your attention, that force to reckon with, that power you wield to bring life to stuff is connected to your breath.

They say: what you pay attention to starts moving. This is why, when you are at the chiropractor, they say: breathe into your hip, or your knees…

You see, they know breathing into something brings it mobility, awareness, and life… what they didn’t know is that it is your attention that is brought to the sore or stuck part with the breath.

Breathing Difficulty, Holding your Breath…

Breathing Difficulty, Holding your Breath…

Sometimes when you poke around you find stuff you didn’t want to find, didn’t want to know, you’d rather not know. But if you know it, if you are willing to face it: you have a new lease on life… So read it.

This article will lose a good percentage of my readers, it’s so sacra-religious, it’s so profoundly upsetting.

I am guided to watch movies, especially hit TV series. It is hard to tell what I am going to see, while I am watching them, hours after hours, on Netflix, but I know how it works, and I know that unless I start to see stuff that my life isn’t giving an insight into, I will not be able to distinguish for you all the ways that the enslavement, that caused you to be miserable, does its job.

This article is about the family. It’s about how family is used to enslave you.

Netflix addiction

Netflix addiction

tumblr_nb6zw3lCGT1tvaq8go2_1280Netflix is great. The shows are what the shows are.

And Netflix, or actually the shows can become addictive.

I watch Netflix almost every day. A number of shows start out OK, but turn addictive around season 4.

You notice that you became addicted if you are craving it, thinking about it, wishing it were already that time of the say when you can watch it.

The shows became addictive, according to what I’ve seen, when there is plot change that turns the show into more of a soap opera than independent episodes.

Soap operas were always addictive. But starting a show as a soap opera is counter productive: intelligent people aren’t attracted, off the cuff, to inane twists and turns of the plot.

Republished: Want real love in your life? Awaken caring, compassion and empathy in you

transform yourself to activate compassionHow do you go about awakening compassion, caring and empathy?

The first step of transformation, and awakening a missing capacity is transformation!, is to tell the truth about how it is now.

Transformation is so rare, because people are unwilling to tell the truth. Why? Because truth, any truth about you, will first be painful, and it will piss you off.

The truth about you is that you, the way you are, are unable to feel for another person. You mistake your loin’s yearning, your heart’s yearning for connection to a feeling for the other, but they are not the same.

At this point only a handful of people are able to feel, feel deeply for another person.

Why you have been unable to change: The Savanna Principle. Updated

tmpI am reading a book… 18% truth value, on evolutionary psychology.

What bothers me most is the air of authority these people that write books project… But, of course, real science doesn’t sell books…

Anyway, one of the things this book says that in the past 10,000 years we didn’t learn anything, because our brain was unable to…

And we haven’t been able to change our basic behavior… or our minds.

But recently I saw something that contradicts what the book says.
