Why do you feel lethargic… Part 2

After publishing the previous article on feeling lethargic, I had an insight:

Given that 30% of humanity is plagued with mite infestation, microscopic biting mites, you are always bothered.

You can’t sleep through the night, because almost every night there is a 2-hour period when eggs hatch into worms… worms that cause itching, or when hungry mites hatch, and they bite and crawl their way to your head and ears to start their adult lives, to mate, to lay eggs, that will start the cycle in about 22-26 hours.

I know you don’t want to hear it, but eventually you’ll have to hear it.

So you want to become a healer?

healing handsEnergy Healing, Energy Healers

People want to become healers. It is all ego, pride, a way to go around doing their own spiritual work.

Thousands upon thousands search to become Reiki “Masters”… they are not a master in anything, barely can tie their shoe laces, but they are Reiki Masters. Yeah, right.

It’s the best racket of our age:wave your arms, and get paid. No one can see energy, no one can measure energy, and only a very small percentage of people can feel energy. And when they don’t… it is their fault, isn’t it?

Are you using your adult capacities?

babies capacities match their ageThe first Osho book I have ever read, was Maturity. I started to read it in the store, and fell in love with it.

It echoed one of my favorite Landmark Education courses, the Wisdom Course.

In that course, maturity was a state (they call it possibility, just a Landmark Education word!): where you were using adult capacities to live your life.

One would think that when you are an adult you use your adult capacities, but that is not the case.

Rose Colored Glasses, Hope, and other stuff that take you out of the present moment

Hope-2-570x379The purveyors of hope

When “picking” a state of being, an attitude, a mindset, conventional wisdom can be detrimental to our well-being.

Unless you are a prisoner in a concentration camp, and what’s predictable is that you will not make it out alive, hope is a very bad-for-you state to pick. But even there, unless it gives you actions that keep you alive longer, that make you take care of yourself, hope as a being, hopeful is the right word, will be just a feeling… and you know how it is with feelings: they come and go at their own accord: you can’t control feelings. Hope and hopeless are the two sides of the same coin. Being doesn’t have a flip side. Continue reading “Rose Colored Glasses, Hope, and other stuff that take you out of the present moment”

ADD, ADHD. What the French can teach us about that…

Is ADD and ADHD a nature or nurture phenomenon? There is a surprising answer: we compare American and French children with regards to ADD…

Based on an article by Marilyn Wedge, Ph.D. “Why French Kids Don’t Have ADHD? French children don’t need medications to control their behavior.”

First off: what is ADD and ADHD?

Attention deficit disorder is a symptom. According to Dr. Daniel Amen, when an ADD/ADHD person wants to concentrate, at a certain point their prefrontal cortex shuts down… much like your computer crashes when you overload it.

What makes you quit?

arrogance or pot-of-goldArrogance is your mind saying that you already know everything there is to know

No matter what level of the vibrational scale you are, your aspects will do what your aspects do. The difference is how YOU will behave, how you will react to it.

I have been observing it for a while. It has become predictable. And yet, I am still always surprised.

The mind, every time I find out something, distinguish something, predictably says: “OK, Now I really know everything.”

It is both annoying and funny. Especially if you consider that since age three your mind has been preventing you, discouraging you to learn anything important, and you’ve never caught up.

Evolution, social genes, and brain plasticity

stoneageYour social genes haven’t changed in the past 200,000 years. They are still the same as when humans were hunter gatherers, the stone age. Social genes are the genes that define behavior.

Where do we see this? Hunter-gatherers were not adventurous. They didn’t go hunting again, until they had to. They preferred to share, to be nice to each other, that way they didn’t have to risk confrontation. This lived in clans, hunted in clans, and followed the leaders.

They judged everything by their first impression of it, or by prejudice: they didn’t experiment, didn’t stop to think, didn’t give second chances. A wolf in sheep’s clothing would be accepted as sheep.

And yet, this bunch of scared followers now live in cities, drive cars, study at universities.

Change your brain… and you can change your life

hack-your-brainIt seems it is video-day here in my house… today. Mind you, I am not quite doing it for entertainment, I am looking for some solution.

In my coaching calls and even watching, observing myself, I have realized that some foundational skills are missing. They are the kind of foundation without which you simply can’t have what you want, you can’t feel better about yourself, and you can’t accomplish much of anything worth writing home about.

So I have to either find a way or make one, to teach you the missing skills.

In this case I’d prefer to find a way, after all if someone is already teaching it, why invent the wheel.

One of the videos I found is a TEDx talk by Barbara Arrowsmith-Young, the founder of the brain plasticity based brain training center.

You live inside a machine called racket….

the racket …and you feed the machine, relentlessly

Every single human (and to a certain degree lots of animals) has automatic ways of being, that could be called a machine, because their behavior is predictable, it is machine-like. Push a button and outcomes the same result, every time.

And every person I know is, more or less, an emotional wreck. a thinly disguised heap of upsets, fears, anxieties, and other very unpleasant feelings.

As an empath I see the disguise and feel the truth. Continue reading “You live inside a machine called racket….”
