The rudderless, directionless, low energy, and the floater

The rudderless, directionless, low energy, and the floater

I had a conversation the other day with my core group. They felt to me rudderless, directionless, low on energy… like a floater.

What’s a floater, you ask? A floater is like stork sh!t… floats in the air and occasionally drops on the ground. Storks are known to poop while in the air… their poop dries out and starts its own rise and fall journey with the air stream… no innate motive power. A floater is like that. Reality is highly patterned. But do you see reality?

Reality is highly patterned. But do you see reality?

Reality is highly patterned… except that you don’t often SEE reality beyond getting an occasional glimpse.

Scientists know that reality is patterned… because they were looking for it. Continue reading “Reality is highly patterned. But do you see reality?”

The curious phenomenon of losing your vibration…

The curious phenomenon of losing your vibration…

…and then restoring it

Unless you understand what robbed you of your vibration, you won’t be able to restore it.

First off: what is the vibration measure measure?

I would say intelligence, if intelligence were a word that we all agree about. But we don’t. So I’ll dig deeper. Continue reading “The curious phenomenon of losing your vibration…”

Cheat sheet to conquer your wayward emotions. What?!

Cheat sheet to conquer your wayward emotions. What?!

One of my students is working on creating a cheat sheet for people who have difficulties in life.

Why a cheat sheet?

Because when you have difficulties in life you find it hard to even think, let alone look at the issue with sober eyes. Without emotions. Look at it like a math problem, or if you are not good at math, a missing ingredient problem in the kitchen.

And if you are normal, if your DNA is what 99.99% of people’s DNA, then you have many difficulties in life, even if no one knows about them. Sometimes even you don’t know… oops. Continue reading “Cheat sheet to conquer your wayward emotions. What?!”

Does Alex Jones, like children, believe his own B.S.?

Does Alex Jones, like children, believe his own B.S.?
Are humans even interested in transcendence?

Transcendence is growing through and beyond. And whether anyone says it or not, you always go beyond a stage when it is considered by you handled.

I am reading a book by the same author who wrote about the predatory genes in another book of his.

He is a novelist, a fiction writer, so anyone who takes everything he says at face value is like the people who listen to Alex Jones and take it like the truth… I even know one personally… ugh.

Anyway, I am reading this new book that just came out a few days ago. After a boring 110 page preamble he gets to the interesting stuff… about sentient life in the cosmos… Continue reading “Does Alex Jones, like children, believe his own B.S.?”

How to turn yourself from a guppy into a majestic dolphin?

How to turn yourself from a guppy into a majestic dolphin?

trying: what it cost youTrying to be funny? This is one of my sore spots watching movies or interacting with people in life…

I hate people when they are trying… trying to please me, trying to prove that they love me, trying to prove that they are already OK… They are trying my patience!

Rant finished… but I do want to talk about trying… forcing… about the smell of sweat and about the inauthenticity of it all.

You resort to trying because you are a twitchy little bastard. Because you want immediate gratification, but nothing worth having is going to give it to you, so you are covering up the fact that you don’t want what is worth having… Continue reading “How to turn yourself from a guppy into a majestic dolphin?”

I have something to say in the matter. But what do I say?

I have something to say in the matter. But what do I say?

I have something to say in the matter… but what can I say?

Back in 1986 it was revolutionary. Closed circuit TV across the world.

Werner Erhard had his Saturday seminars. I lived in New Jersey at the time, but the audience was in many cities in the US, in Australia, and maybe in Europe…

I was green and my ‘est’ vocabulary was non-existent, so I probably only got 1% of what was available, but I did get something.

In one of the sessions Werner set up the question: I have something to say in the matter… and what the matter was I don’t remember, but I suspect, that he was doing what I am doing with my DNA adjusted students: Continue reading “I have something to say in the matter. But what do I say?”

Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons. ~ Woody Allen

When I first came to the United States in late September of 1985, my trip was paid by a lawyer somewhere on the Palisades of NJ. I asked his secretary to type up my resume. She did it, on a computer.

There was something I wanted to change, so I asked for permission to go to the office and change that thing over the weekend. Continue reading “How I learn and other stories you can learn from”

I am Harold to your Maude… said one of my students

I am Harold to your Maude… said one of my students
Harold and MaudI am Harold to your Maude… said one of my students

I feel gratitude. I love that movie. And I loved Maude in that movie. I loved Cat Stevens’ music.

She says:

When I think of Maude I smile: I see you like that. And we, your students, are like clueless Harolds. But eventually even Harold turned his life around. Such a great movie.

Maude is 79 in that movie from 1971… and Harold is in his very early 20’s. Maude is ready to die, Harold is not ready to live.

  • Maude knows how to be happy, joyful: she lived full out, whatever the circumstances.
  • Harold hasn’t lived at all. Unless you call seeking attention from his mother living.

And that is a 90% accurate assessment of our relationship. 90%.
