How you look at a thing makes all the difference

How you look at a thing makes all the difference

Sometimes I get up in the morning and then do maintenance stuff on my computer, of play Freecell, because there is nothing that is pressing me to write about.

As soon as I look at myself playing Freecell that it is a process I trust to bring up topics I could write about, within a game, 3-4 minutes, a whole topic emerges.

It was there, it just needed to be called.

Last Saturday I had a tech teacher of mine on my 3-wishes workshop. I invited him, I comped him in, and he came.

I treated him special, and he got to see something about himself that he can now deal with. He saw that his fixed way of being with nearly anything is that he is resentful… while he could be grateful. Continue reading “How you look at a thing makes all the difference”

What makes you should on yourself and others?

What makes you should on yourself and others?

should racketWhat makes you should on yourself and others? The ‘should racket’, the invisible dynamic: you assume there is agreement, that things should be in a certain way

Joke: Why do violinists put a handkerchief between the violin and their shoulder? So they don’t violin on themselves…

Not many people play the violin, but we all should on ourselves. some more, some less.

I should already know it, I should already do it well

Some people can’t learn… and therefore they are stuck. We could even say: most people.

Let me ask Source how many. 70% of humanity has the affliction, the disease of the mind I highlight in the title of this article, I should already know it, I should already… [fill in the blanks]

Shoulding effectively prevents you from learning, let alone mastering anything. You are afraid to do anything in public, for fear of people finding out that you are not something enough to already be the best. Continue reading “What makes you should on yourself and others?”

You are like a dog wagged by its tail. The Mind is the tail…

You are like a dog wagged by its tail. The Mind is the tail…

You live as an object in a world of objects… an object with a mind, but nevertheless an object.

Your mind serves one purpose only: to live really like a machine, protecting itself, being self-concerned. Because if you are an object in a world of object, then every other object is a threat to you, physically, or otherwise, so you are always concerned with how you look, that you are right, that you dominate and avoid domination, you win and avoid losing, you justify yourself and invalidate others, and desperately scramble to avoid responsibility for anything and everything.

That is the life of an object living in a world of objects.

Your mind also tells you that you have to, you need to, you want to, you should do all the things that will make you look good and make it in this world of objects.

The problem with this setup, other than that it’s miserable, is that you are not ‘designed’ as an object: you are designed to be a person. But other than in labels, 99.99% of humanity behaves like an object, not as a person.

What is the main difference?

A person is not the dog that is wagged by the tail.

WTF are you talking about, Sophie? Continue reading “You are like a dog wagged by its tail. The Mind is the tail…”

Living well is the best revenge… Jewish Wisdom

Living well is the best revenge… Jewish Wisdom
    • The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury.
    • If you spend your time hoping someone will suffer the consequences for what they did to your heart, then you’re allowing them to hurt you a second time in your mind.
    • Revenge, the sweetest morsel to the mouth that ever was cooked in hell.

Until yesterday, somewhat arrogantly, I believed that I was unique in that I am vengeful… in my deepest soul. That I want the perpetrators, who disregarded me, dissed me, didn’t give me what I wanted, hurt me, didn’t help me, hurt my stuff… I want them to suffer. I want them to know that there is a price to pay for hurting ME.

I have never knowingly acted on any of my revenge fantasies, and yet I experienced first hand that I took the poison I meant for them myself, hoping that they would suffer. They didn’t. I did. The vibration of vengefulness is 70. Continue reading “Living well is the best revenge… Jewish Wisdom”

Rob Yourself Wealthy. It cost me $200 to get this

Rob Yourself Wealthy. It cost me 0 to get this

The secret of correct growth, for people, trees, a business, is the correct boundaries and restrictions, directing the energy into a restricted channel.

Correct growth requires energy, a lot of energy…

Without restriction or with incorrect boundaries the growth will be limited, or along the wrong lines.

But in today’s day and age restrictions, outside restrictions are harder to come by… Continue reading “Rob Yourself Wealthy. It cost me $200 to get this”

The test if you are a person is how you treat others

The test if you are a person is how you treat others

Treat me like a person!

I didn’t realize that this is a big issue until I searched for picture to illustrate this article…

Almost a billion pages…

Your relationships… inside and outside… are they people, or are they cardboard cutouts?

Here is an idea most of you will be uncomfortable with:

People you have in your life are either there because

  • 1. they have to. They are family, co-workers, who don’t really have a choice about it. They are employees to where you shop, live, work…
  • 2. they want what you have or what you offer
  • 3. they want YOU… and therefore what you offer

How to beat the ‘human condition’ successfully

How to beat the ‘human condition’ successfully

How to beat the ‘human condition’ successfully and become a happy person at no one’s expense?

I spent a few hours this week reading really old emails from two of my clients. I was especially interested in their early emails… maybe so I can see what changed?

When you talk to someone nearly every day, it is hard to notice the changes…

So periodically going back and seeing some of the things they said six years ago is really useful in this regard.

I have my customer/client emails saved, all of them, grouped by client, so I didn’t even have to search… Just pick a client, and read…

One of these guys went on and on and on how much he doesn’t want to be human. How much he doesn’t want to be part of the human condition. Live in the Valley of the Shadow of Death. Continue reading “How to beat the ‘human condition’ successfully”

Can we change the future of the planet by changing people?

Can we change the future of the planet by changing people?

Yesterday I spoke about the human condition, where moral rules, codes, and such are masking the predatory nature of humans…

Predatory simply means: me at your expense… and it is mostly, among animals, at the expense of another species, but there are exceptions.

I live on nuts, nuts are about 40% of the nutrition I take any given day. Why? I can’t eat much anything else and stay well beyond my expiration date… which, for all intents and purposes was in August last year.

So I got an extension, on conditions that I do life in a particular way… Continue reading “Can we change the future of the planet by changing people?”

Why does the future of the planet look the way it looks?

Why does the future of the planet look the way it looks?

I am reading an amazing AND disturbing book. Again.

I have been heeding the words of my teacher, Robert S. Hartman, that to fight evil, you need to know evil, intimately. Be able to recognize it everywhere… in yourself and in others.

Like yourself, I prefer to look at pretty, beautiful, harmonious, happy… But if you want to tell the truth, there is not much of that, at least where humans are involved. Continue reading “Why does the future of the planet look the way it looks?”

What robs you of the ability to be astute?

What robs you of the ability to be astute?

Astute, astuteness has a bad reputation… so do the words: selling, ambitious… or taking care of yourself. But it is unjust, in fact it is against Life.

But, unfortunately, we live in an age where being selfless seems like a virtue… but it isn’t a virtue, it is imposed upon us.

It is stupid and a learned ‘value’…

The best people in the world are selfish…

Selfish… meaning: they take care of themselves… instead of hoping that others will be selfless and take care of them. And then they can contribute… from being well and being taken care of.

No matter how many times people understand, on airplanes, that when the oxygen masks are dropped at them, they should put on their own first… and then assist others… Because they see it there, but the ability to see it everywhere would require a wider cone of vision than they have… Take care of yourself first doesn’t live like a distinction, it lives as an example that is true on airplanes. Continue reading “What robs you of the ability to be astute?”
