Your emotional baseline and your chances for success

Your emotional baseline and your chances for success

your-emotional-baselineI read a very interesting article 1 today. It is about being able to predict from how you were as a baby and toddler your chances for success, your chances for being smart, your chances for aberrant, deviant behavior, like crime or addictions.

And although most of you, if you read it, will be resigned to how you turned out, or alternatively argue till you are hoarse with the predictions, there is a more constructive way to read the article: get guidance.

Of course, if you are already having trouble in life, you are habitually relating to everything as a good reason to get depressed, turn to the bottle, get angry, or eat more m&m’s, but if you are not quite there, there is the guidance I recommend that you get:

All of those signs you demonstrated as a toddler are correctable by the Bach Flower Energies.

If you have a propensity for being impatient, wanting immediate gratification, not being able to hang in there and do what you need to do even if it is tedious, or unsuccessful at the moment, the Bach Flower Energy Impatience will increase your capacity for more patience, so you can actually get something done, learn something, hang in there.

Keep your enemies close… with friends like this who needs enemies?

enemiesI am reading all the books by Michael Connelly.

I had read about 20 before getting to the last few I have on my kindle… these books stirred up something in me…

Suddenly, in these last few books, there is an unexpected twist: the last three novels have a similar element, not quite there, or maybe even missing from the previous ones: a friend or colleague is turning against friend or colleague…

Your childhood holds the keys to your redemption, to your happiness, to your success

fair-chanceHumans are the most vulnerable creatures of the Planet. They are not big enough, they are not strong enough, to protect themselves effectively from being harmed by predators or nature.

The only reason humans, as a species have survived so far is because of humans’ use of the brain to create protection from predators and the elements.

Nothing has changed: we, humans, are as vulnerable as every, but we have forgotten that the survival of the species depends on each individual in the species: it cannot be delegated to authorities, police, the medical establishment and the like. It has to happen on the individual level first and foremost.

We pretend not to know, because we really don’t care, that for a child to grow up healthy, the child needs a supportive environment with a sense of safety, including emotional safety.

Secret to accomplishment? Money, health, love

Secret to accomplishment? Money, health, love

from-little-to-bigSummary: In this article I am attempting to make the impossible possible, the unlikely likely… making great white sharks from minnows…

from eaten to eating. From being dinner to being the diner. from being powerless to being powerful. from being a victim to being a victor.  to awaken the spirit dormant within you. Continue reading “Secret to accomplishment? Money, health, love”

If it is easy, it probably won’t do you any good!

staples-easy-buttonI had an insight today that will open up a can of worms…

I have had issues with my weight since age 9. I have found effective ways to manage my weight, apart from starving myself (I did that for about 15 years too…), one of them involves a breathing technique.

I did that method for about three years, first to reduce my weight and then to maintain it, without having to change my diet.

It worked like gangbusters… and I was surprised to hear that the originator of the method was sued, in a class action suit, that the method didn’t work.

She lost the suit, and paid millions in restitution.

Turning points: decide that mother isn’t coming

Turning points: decide that mother isn’t coming

mother isn't comingSummary: In this article I talk about a turning point that unstucks you from inaction and puts you in the driver’s seat of your life. I use my own example of taking extraordinary (to me) measures where I normally would go depressed instead

It is hard to pinpoint what it takes for someone to actually do something, something out of the ordinary… or for that matter even ordinary, like doing your own work.

In one of my books 2 the “hero” sees the issue, sees the cost of the issue not handled, but until he becomes clear that unless he does something, no one will… and a lot of people will die.

It is not who you are, that holds you back. It is the understanding you lack.

the understanding you lack is in between the things you knowYou often get your answers at the places you least expect it. This happened to me today.

I bought a marketing software and it came with a webinar recording.

The guy, the speaker, said something that I should have said, but I could never actually verbalize it the way he did:

It is not who you are, that holds you back. It is the understanding you lack

What Does It Say About You That You Have A Pet?

having a petThis article will upset many. Just please know, that if you are getting upset, it is indicating that your vibration is very low, and the anger is a smoke screen to avoid seeing it, and avoid being seen as such. As a pet owner, you are, probably, priding yourself of giving life to a pet, but the reality is much more sinister than that.

Consciousness is going to cost you something… a delusion? An illusion? Being asleep and oblivious? We shall see.

Another reason it is important for some of you to read is this: if you want to become and Expanding Human Being, if you want to raise your vibration, then you need to be effective. In order to become effective, you need to act on what’s real, on what’s so, instead of action on some delusion, some fantasy… like Don Quixote.

I don’t know what to do! I am stuck!

I don’t know what to do! I am stuck!

i_don__t_know_what_to_doIn this article I talk about one of the ways you can get stuck… so this is a get unstuck article… I didn’t know when I started to write it.

You can get stuck in lots of ways, but getting unstuck is almost always to same: a process…

Once you read the actual case-study, mine, I’ll go into detail of the process of unstucking yourself… Now read it!

As you know, as part of keeping myself sharp and on the edge, I have taken on a project to sell products on Amazon.com.

I had a hunch that it will be a challenge, but I had no idea how difficult it was going to be.

So, here I am, in my third month of my challenge, and I got to a point where I am just sitting, and feel absolutely doomed.

Existential Courage, taking risks, turning point

Existential Courage, taking risks, turning point

One of the most important things I have ever done in my life is find out what really holds me back from taking risks.

After all, if you want to grow, as a person, as a business, you need to take risks: all power comes from going out of your comfort zone, and it’s a risk.

The kind of risk that causes you to grow is the kind of risk you need existential courage to face.

The other risk, existential risk, is annihilation of your physical body, but the kind of risk that causes growth is the kind that threatens to annihilate your self-image, your persona, to make you look bad, be wrong, be less than you desire to be.

So you can see, you have that kind of risk every step of the way, while the other, existential risk is rare and dull in comparison.

Let me return to the most important thing I have ever done, and that is: find out and own my biggest fear. Embrace it, if you wish… Love it, if you wish…
