Fear, arrogance, laziness… how do these stop you?

Fear, arrogance, laziness… how do these stop you?
I am finding that what stops people from moving ahead in life is either fear or arrogance…

You could argue that laziness should be listed too, but I have found that laziness is a coverup for either fear or arrogance.

Nick Kyrgios (tennis player) is paralyzed by the fear of never being good enough rather than laziness. FEAR, not arrogance or laziness, has surely created the beast that is Nick Kyrgios

I get a lot of requests to eliminate people’s fear, but I am sorry to tell you: I can’t and no one can.

Fear is not the problem, and it doesn’t need to be eliminated.

I am afraid too, and you wouldn’t know from watching me. Continue reading “Fear, arrogance, laziness… how do these stop you?”

Paying for something vs buying it: what is the difference?

Paying for something vs buying it: what is the difference?

In the past ten or so years I have had thousands of people who paid for something. 70% of them paid again and again… For the same thing or something else. Many are still around, reading the articles, and still paying for stuff.

The question is, suggested by the title of this article:

How many of those thousands were buyers? Continue reading “Paying for something vs buying it: what is the difference?”

The secret life of the superiors also called the 1000

The secret life of the superiors also called the 1000

If you managed to listen to the whole two hours of Alex Hormozi answering questions video, you can tell that there is a common way 1000’s think and behave.

One of these is to avoid doing things in order to… Agenda replaced the joy of doing.

The joy of doing?

What does emotional and intellectual inflexibility do?

What does emotional and intellectual inflexibility do?

intellectual inflexibilityAlmost all Nobel laureates in the sciences are actively engaged in arts as adults. They are twice as likely as the average scientist to be a photographer; four times as likely to be a musician; eight times more likely to do woodworking or some other craft; twelve times more likely to write poetry and literature; seventeen times as likely to be an artist; and twenty-five times as likely to sing, dance, or act.
– Bob Root-Bernstein, PhD

That, above, is probably a puzzling fact.

The question you should be having on your tongue is to ask: Why is that so?

The answer, of course, is below the visible, the invisible. Continue reading “What does emotional and intellectual inflexibility do?”

The example is real: I went through this just about an hour ago… so it is real and it’s fresh. Here you go: Continue reading “Turning your life around on a dime. Become a winner in life”

Love is wanting for you what you want for yourself…

Love is wanting for you what you want for yourself…

Maybe love is wanting even more for you than you want for yourself… but I am not sure about that.

Because of great love one is courageous. And coaching you is a lot like training tigers to act like pussycats… And as dangerous.

A coach wants for you what you say you want for yourself… Continue reading “Love is wanting for you what you want for yourself…”

Life’s real purpose is self-actualization

Life’s real purpose is self-actualization
Self-actualization is the process of becoming all you can become.

Who is to argue that ultimately that is what we all need. Innately!

There are two non-physical needs, according to Margoczi in the Feelings book.

  • The need to fulfill others’ expectations of us, and
  • the need to fulfill our own expectations of ourselves. Ultimately, optimally, what we can do… the realistic expectations.

Positive thinking and learned helplessness

Positive thinking and learned helplessness
Why do I fight positive thinking, why am I trashing it?

This morning I got to a realization: the students who are not making strides, not moving higher on the evolutionary scale are the students that are confusing ‘there is nothing wrong in reality’ with positive thinking.

Positive thinking says: avoid negativity. Turn your back to it. Make up something nice to say about things you don’t like, don’t want. Continue reading “Positive thinking and learned helplessness”
