2 ‘Getting Things Done’ systems, and what people really do

getting things done. get rid of the ball and chainI have always liked getting things done.

I like getting things done. Why? Because everything that doesn’t get done is like an energetic attachment, like a ball and chain on your ankle, slows you down, and prevents you from soaring… having a good time, feeling free and unencumbered.

I don’t like feeling heavy, burdened, or guilty, so I learn, test, experiment with methods that allow me to be free.

I even like to be lighter in weight because I don’t like to be heavy in any way, including physically.

I handle problems, issues, doubts, the same way… handle them so the weights can disappear.

The constructive use of the proverbial hammer…

the proverbial hammerThe proverbial hammer? The law of the instrument, law of the hammer, Abraham Maslow’s hammer is a cognitive bias that involves an over-reliance on a familiar tool. As Abraham Maslow said in 1966, ‘I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail.’ This article intends to point you to new tools through highlighting the cost of having only what you have.

Every Tuesday I start my day with reading Rob Brezsny’s email. And every Tuesday it’s been putting me in a foul mood for the past 6 months, not before.

Why? Because every campaigner is like the man who has a hammer and sees everything as a nail. And keep banging away with it on everything.

But the world is not all nails, and the particular hammer Rob Brezsny has… Continue reading “The constructive use of the proverbial hammer…”

Depressed from oversleeping… and recovery

oversleeping depression side effectsSome days start out like this… I don’t know if you can relate… I oversleeping and suffer from the  resulting depression

Today I overslept. Some fascinating dream was more important for me to continue watching than getting up.

It’s now three hours later, and I am till groggy, unmotivated, and I have a fear that is playing hide and seek with me: I can’t really see what it is afraid of. Continue reading “Depressed from oversleeping… and recovery”

Second wind, second chance

second wind wingsDo you have the fighting spirit? Have you ever accessed your second wind?

I am sure you were immediately thinking of fighting, and not spirit… and you are about to hang up… and go do something mundane and maybe even boring to calm down your spirit that wants to come alive… ‘go back to sleep. Nothing to see here’

The fighting spirit is the spirit fighting for more life, more aliveness, more joy, more love, more everything. For you.

The factions fighting and bickering and backbiting and slandering online and in your groups are not spirit… they are all fear based… and I would say death-based, not life based. Not for themselves either.

It’s a smokescreen to hide that they are about death… theirs.

So let’s talk, instead, about the fighting spirit, that is all for you, about you, and you have, probably, only a fleeing memory of when you last saw it.

The fighting spirit is what gives you the second wind. Continue reading “Second wind, second chance”

Can the “Ask and it is given” work for you?

Ask and it is givenAsk and it is given… But if that were so easy and simple, there would not be a whole system of thought, Kabbalah, receiving in Hebrew…

You pray and you think you are effectively asking for what you want. You believe that you will get it… but only 1% of the asks are given…

This article is about why only 1% of what you ask for is given, no matter who you ask from. Yourself, someone else, or some deity.

In yesterday’s core group huddle I started to see something that is so hidden and so hideous that even when people see it, they don’t see it.

What is it?

You don’t, you can’t see what you want and why (context)  so what you ask for is vague, fuzzy, and not going to get given. Continue reading “Can the “Ask and it is given” work for you?”

Celebrate Misery! Celebrate sadness! Celebration is the ultimate embrace

celebrateOne of the people I learned a lot from is Osho… I learned to celebrate, I learn to embrace from him. I read twenty of his books: each book is a collection of his live talks… he had hundreds of talks during the about 30 years of being a guru.

Osho’s vibration was about 300… which is much higher than most people, much lower than people believe he was. Yet, I learned a lot from him while my vibration was higher than his.

Your vibrational number has nothing to do with actual vibration, or frequency: it is more like a measure of how close you are to the Original Design of a Human Being AND how close what you believe and what you see as truth is to reality.

Everything is a road to hoe, long, short, hard, easy

methodology of transformation is a process, a road to hoeEverything is a process… a road to hoe. The new methodology of transformation in this article is one step, without which all other steps are ineffective and temporary at best.

Just because you feel brilliant, you may not be brilliant.

Yesterday I felt like I am definitely getting smarter. Felt good. Then I asked Source: Am I really getting smarter? And the answer was ‘no’. Continue reading “Everything is a road to hoe, long, short, hard, easy”

Whatever it takes, your about-me score, your TLB: what is the connection?

Marianne Faithfull in Irina PalmWhatever it takes, your about-me score, your TLB, your twitchy little bastard score: what is the connection?

I am scared. The inauguration is in an hour… I am weeping I am so scared. So I get busy doing what I can… publish this article. I’ll probably publish one more later today…

Just read an article about Marianne Faithfull, a 60’s muse, singer, and a beautiful woman, exactly my age.

She just went through the virus, spent three weeks in hospital, and survived against the doctors’ predictions.

Because of what?

I don’t know the woman. I don’t know her songs. but I saw a movie with her, where she, her character was this ‘whatever it takes’ type of warrior… while the people around her claimed love but did nothing.

You can find your inspiration and spiritual teaching in the most unexpected places… Continue reading “Whatever it takes, your about-me score, your TLB: what is the connection?”

A cool dog story or what the heck is motive power?

Missy... a should motive power dogThis dog story illustrates something profound and new in this article: motive power.

This story is about two dogs.

The female is Missy. The other a male, Jojo.

Missy is a medium-sized… I am not good at dog breeds. She is friendly, reserved and weighs 15 pounds.

Now, Jojo, the male, is a real character. He’s a dachshund. Jet-Black/yellow in color, and weighs just 7 pounds.

Guess who’s the boss in this relationship?

Well, it ain’t Missy.

Jojo is only 7 pounds, but his small stature doesn’t inhibit him in any way.

He strides right up to the biggest dogs ( including Pit Bulls ) and extends a friendly greeting. Continue reading “A cool dog story or what the heck is motive power?”

The main thing is keeping the main thing the main thing

The main thing is keeping the main thing the main thing…

But do you even know, have you even decided what is the MAIN THING?

The internet is full of articles by people who know exactly how to solve the other guy’s problems. They do this with how to do this or that in 3-7 steps articles and books… but they are all wrong, and those ‘solutions’ are not solutions at all. Continue reading “The main thing is keeping the main thing the main thing”
