Everything you do says one of three things about you

Everything you do says one of three things about you

OK… I know the picture is misleading… this article is not about food… Honest!

I know, I know, the title of this article is terrifying. we are all afraid to be found out, or to find out that what we are doing, how we live is somehow wrong, wrong, wrong.

Or alternatively we arrogantly think that we can do no wrong, that we are always right, and the whole world should come and adore us…

Both are very low vibration… The reality is that nothing is wrong in reality… and yet. Continue reading “Everything you do says one of three things about you”

I am not your mother! I.am.not.your.mother, damit!

I am not your mother! I.am.not.your.mother, damit!

I am not your mother! Yelled the chiropractor. Thank god, I thought, but she continued, and then, ultimately refused to provide care.

This happened to me several times, in several environments, not just with chiropractors and not just with women.

Like every person on this planet, I live my life out in a machine. No, not the Matrix, albeit I may, but I am not aware of that. But I am painfully aware about the personal hell machine I created with my words. Continue reading “I am not your mother! I.am.not.your.mother, damit!”

Birthday musings… What worked, what didn’t work?

Birthday musings… What worked, what didn’t work?

Sara was 90 year olds when she gave birth to Yitzhak… if the bible is any indication of what life was some 4000 years ago…

Some 50 years ago I met a group of Danish students, back in Hungary, on a train. We struck up a conversation. At some point they exclaimed: “You’ll never retire. You’ll be working way past your 70’s!”

I was still an architecture student, and I must have been excited about that… Being an architecture student and being a working architect are worlds apart. One is exciting, the other is not… That’s probably why I am not an architect any more. It was drudgery.

I am equally if not more excited about my current profession… and yes, I am 73 today, and I am still working… no retirement in mind. Continue reading “Birthday musings… What worked, what didn’t work?”

Three reasons you don’t learn… and end up ignorant in spite of the money and the time invested…

Three reasons you don’t learn… and end up ignorant in spite of the money and the time invested…

What phase of learning do you regularly skip that you end up ignorant? Never amounting to much…

… in spite of all the courses you’ve taken, all the books you’ve read, all the videos you’ve watched? I am not even talking about the books and courses that you bought but never went through… Just the ones where you thought you learned something…

We live in a world of instant. Instagram, Instacart, Facebook live… blah blah blah. Continue reading “Three reasons you don’t learn… and end up ignorant in spite of the money and the time invested…”

The test if you are a person is how you treat others

The test if you are a person is how you treat others

Treat me like a person!

I didn’t realize that this is a big issue until I searched for picture to illustrate this article…

Almost a billion pages…

Your relationships… inside and outside… are they people, or are they cardboard cutouts?

Here is an idea most of you will be uncomfortable with:

People you have in your life are either there because

  • 1. they have to. They are family, co-workers, who don’t really have a choice about it. They are employees to where you shop, live, work…
  • 2. they want what you have or what you offer
  • 3. they want YOU… and therefore what you offer

What is the reason people don’t do much with their lives?

What is the reason people don’t do much with their lives?

success-will-never-be-a-big-stepI am in the middle of the Water Energizing Challenge, and that gives me an unprecedented insight into people I didn’t want… 🙁

I am seeing something I didn’t expect, but that is what I am getting: stinginess.

Holding back, dealing thing out in thimbles instead of buckets, love, work, faith, service, energy, everything. For one’s own self, and for others, for life.

Result: No abundance.

Abundance is the opposite of stinginess. Abundance means abandon, flowing, largeness… there is more where that came from. Energy, love, effort, faith… joy!

Even how you laugh: hahaha… but I hear you holding back. Scarcity shows in every movement, everything you do. Continue reading “What is the reason people don’t do much with their lives?”

What a one minute exercise reveals about you?

What a one minute exercise reveals about you?

What do your emotions and behavior hide?

Your behaviors, your feelings and emotions are the tip of the iceberg, hiding the below water part, your attitudes. Your attitude to anything…

Here is the exercise: Close your eyes and imagine a bowl of cherries in front of you. It’s all for you. No competition. Or a box of chocolates if that fits you better.

How do you eat your cherries?

You reach out and take a cherry, or whatever you have in front of you.

  • Did you take the largest, most ripe cherry? The best of all the chocolates?
  • Did you take the puny little cherry first? The kind of chocolate you don’t really like?
  • Did you just take any of the cherries, without looking if it is big, plump, or puny?

The underlying attitude shows clearly on your behavior.

Words create your emotions, your reality, your next action

Words create your emotions, your reality, your next action

Words create your emotions, your reality, your next action, your beingness, your attitude… everything

‘Law of attraction’ teachers abuse this fact… and fleece you, dupe you, and infuse you with delusional beliefs. But regardless… it is true. Words create worlds. But not all words, and definitely not imprecise words…

In this article I’ll deal with that imprecision.

Words create your emotions, your reality, your next action, your beingness, your attitude… everything. Everything you can’t wrap some words around don’t exist for you.

Do you think it would be a good idea to use the words with some finesse, precision, instead of doing it with sloppiness?

Of course, how you do anything is how you do everything: if you are a sloppy person, your language will be sloppy too.
If you are stingy…
If you are a time waster…
If you are cowardly…
If you are a liar, a cheater, a bombastic promiser who never delivers…

You get the drift, I hope. Continue reading “Words create your emotions, your reality, your next action”

Are you a lone wolf? The capacity of inclusivity…

Are you a lone wolf? The capacity of inclusivity…

Some animals are lone rangers… hunt alone. Maybe eat their young when hungry. Other animals hunt in a pack. Humans are supposedly pack animals, but individuals dare to differ. I am not a pack animal, although when I find a group of people who welcome me, I get all teary eyed… but even then: I’ll do my own thing, and ‘belong’ to the pack as a leader. And if I can’t be a leader, if I can’t have a voice, I don’t want to be there.

Which means: humans vary in many regards, and this is just one of them.

As a kid I was the black sheep. For years I wasn’t even included in family dinners… my mother sent my food in on a tray with my little brother.

I felt excluded. Thrown out. Left out. Continue reading “Are you a lone wolf? The capacity of inclusivity…”

Gratitude, appreciation is a context. even coherence

Gratitude, appreciation is a context. even coherence
You either live in a context you create, or you live in a context that is given to you.

The more you live in a context created by you the more you have a Self.

It can even be said: Self is a context… or maybe it is the sum total of the contexts you live in, you live through.

The reason my own numbers are consistent is because I live my whole life, public, private, unconscious, even my dreams, out of a consistent sets of contexts: gratitude, appreciation, expanding, service, joy, curiosity, flying the spirit, etc. Continue reading “Gratitude, appreciation is a context. even coherence”
