What is the opposite of courage? It’s not fear, it is…

There are two main ways to live. It is the closest to black or white I have found in nature.

Living things that have their eyes in the front… the predators that go ahead and discover, that live through risk. And prey animals, that are hunted and killed for food.

Of course humans want to be very smart, so they added the categories: philanthropist and supporter, but in this b/w categorization philanthropists and supporters are also prey animals.

So what? you could ask, but there is something important to know here: Continue reading “What is the opposite of courage? It’s not fear, it is…”

What if integrity is living like the Creator intended?

What if integrity is living like the Creator intended?

What if we are not mice that make a mess while the cat is elsewhere… What if it is in our best interest to consider that the Creator is watching us… and doing what he intended for us to do, without grumbling, willingly, and with joy?

What if liberty to do whatever you want to do is not just stupid but also what makes you miserable… because the smart way to live is by the design the Creator created for us? And that is not liberty… it is living by design.

Design is always restriction.

What if the order of things is… Continue reading “What if integrity is living like the Creator intended?”

The undertow… why you don’t, why can’t get ahead, until…

The undertow… why you don’t, why can’t get ahead, until…

The undertow is an apt analogy to what is going on in humans… why they do or don’t do things. It’s invisible. So you can’t fix it… And it’s not wrong… and yet it destroys, and kills lives.

Yesterday I bought an ebook for the third time.

The same ebook. Why would I buy it again? Because I’ve never actually read it.

Now, that ebook cost twice as much as what I charge for a 3-hour workshop. And my hand was quite hesitant when I clicked the buy button… I was spending my weekly food allowance on a measly ebook. For the third time.

But if I eventually read it (lol) I may profit from it that much or more a week… so it is worth it.

But why on earth did I buy it three times? Continue reading “The undertow… why you don’t, why can’t get ahead, until…”

The uncatchable ball… did you just let it slip away?

The uncatchable ball… did you just let it slip away?

uncatchable ballWe are definitely dealing with something that feels like an uncatchable ball.

We find something and it turns out not to be THE BALL… and we need to go and find another ball to catch… but instead of being able to catch it, it slips out of our grasp.

Why are we even trying?

Because unless and until we catch it and have it in our grasp, firmly, our lives cannot change, our performance cannot change, we cannot really get to where we love ourselves, love our lives, and live it powerfully.

This uncatchable ball is small, slippery, and evasive.

And we want to catch it… If nothing else, I am tenacious… And so help me god, I’ll catch it. Identify it, if it takes me a hundred articles… I will. For you, and for me.

This article is an attempt to catch it… The next article is already written and will come out later today…

You don’t have a life… you have many fragmented segments

You don’t have a life… you have many fragmented segments
The Missing Unifying Link

Can you find a thread that connects all or at least most of your daily activities? If not, then you clearly are living a fragmented life — a series of disjointed experiences.

Could a business or a machine run this way work well? Could a human body whose systems and organs are not coordinated work well!

What impact does fragmentation have on you and your well-being? What toll does it take on your psyche and your peace of mind when you have many diverse voices and demands tugging you in different directions?

If a business cannot function without a unifying mission, how can you?

We’ll go deep into this issue of fragmented life in this article. Continue reading “You don’t have a life… you have many fragmented segments”

The invisible undercurrent that is running your life

The invisible undercurrent that is running your life

The invisible undercurrent, undertow of self-made rules… Or if you prefer, the invisible strings that move the puppet…

What they talk about when they say ‘there are known knowns… etc.’

Donald Rumsfeld stated:

Reports that say that something hasn’t happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns – the ones we don’t know we don’t know. And if one looks throughout the history of our country and other free countries, it is the latter category that tend to be the difficult ones.

He definitely said that differently than how we mean it, and yet he worded in a way that makes sense to most people, so I am quoting him.

So what unknown unknowns are we talking about?

Imagine living a thousand years ago, when everyone in the Western world thought that the world was flat… In other cultures they thought that the world was sitting on the back of a giant turtle. Continue reading “The invisible undercurrent that is running your life”

Seeing. What? How? How far? How wide? How astutely?

Seeing. What? How? How far? How wide? How astutely?
seeing wider and deeperIf seeing is our access to everything, then seeing is our most important skill.

It is actually a metaskill… A meta-skill is a permanent part of you that enables you to achieve things. Metaskills get more and more important as the new kind of work… the future of work. And life…

But, unfortunately, when I look, according to my measures, it is our ability to see is the ability most taken for granted.

We, at any moment, feel that we see everything… except that even the best of us only see some of what there is to see, and the average sees about 3% of what would make them happy, healthy, loved, and prosperous. 3%… while they think they see it all.

We need to LEARN to see… whaaat? Yeah… Continue reading “Seeing. What? How? How far? How wide? How astutely?”

The Evil Eye and the soul correction workshop

The Evil Eye and the soul correction workshop

Why the soul correction workshop isn’t for you?

The workshop is starting today.

As I am preparing, emotionally, for the course, and the challenge to crack some hard nuts, difficult issues on the call, I have amped up my awareness, and I am starting to see stuff that I could not see before.

Now, in every interaction, the background intention I have: can I take someone all the way to SEEING soberly and clearly what the correction is, based on what I see in that conversation? Continue reading “The Evil Eye and the soul correction workshop”

Two ways to live… and, of course everything in between

Two ways to live… and, of course everything in between

There are two ways to live. Blindly or consciously. Two ways to relate to things: cowardly or bravely.

The brave inherits the earth and whatever it has to offer… In this Bible context inheriting means: enjoying. Benefiting. Emotionally, spiritually, and maybe even materially as well.

But how do you know that you are cowardly? Continue reading “Two ways to live… and, of course everything in between”

When a bee stings you, it leaves its stringer in your flesh

When a bee stings you, it leaves its stringer in your flesh

I stepped on a bee in the park once and it stung the foot of my sole.

But my mother was so afraid of bees, and they stung her every time she got close to them… Then, for days on end, she could be the center of attention…

This article uses the bee-sting as an analogy… to show how an early incident effects your life… forever.

The bee sting and the stinger

Do you know when a bee stings you, it leaves its stinger in you? And unless you can dig it out, it is the source of infection, swelling, and much much pain. Continue reading “When a bee stings you, it leaves its stringer in your flesh”
