If you want to achieve something bigger in your life, I think you’ll find this tool both helpful and interesting…
…especially if you’re not quite sure exactly what to do to make your success happen.
When I first had the urge to ‘be a success’ (I was in my late 30’s) I had NO IDEA what to do or how to start. I just quit architecture, and I didn’t know what to do next.
So, I read lots of books about success, getting conflicting advice, getting advice that wasn’t applicable in my situation, had a lot of false starts, and I remained confused about what to do. 1
Now, this won’t help you to define what you want, but if you want something, and who of us doesn’t, this tool can evaluate if a project or activity that is going to work for you, ahead of time. I wanted my life to matter, that is what I wanted, by the way. Nothing more specific.
This tool can set you on a course that finally makes sense. It will make what seemed to be a confusing process much clearer–and much more doable.
Here are some of the the questions you’ll gain real clarity about: 2
- The #1 reason why you might fail to achieve a goal…
- Why ‘planning’ isn’t as useful as you might imagine (I completely agree with this)…
- How, when there are so many possibilities, to finally figure out what you really want (this just might be the main thing that stops people from moving forward)…
- The factors that predict success THE MOST…
- How the most successful people develop ‘vision’–and why it’s so important that you do what they do…
- WHEN you should QUIT on a goal and do something else (I wondered about this for a long time–it’s a crucial piece of the puzzle).
This tool identifies the 10 questions that will predict whether or not you’ll succeed as you pursue any goal or dream.
These 10 important question will cause you to have some huge ‘aha’s’ about success– and gain some important clarity (plus the motivation to finally move forward with confidence).
Some people have a way of creating ‘how to move forward’ ah-ha’s…

- Then I read the book ‘What color is your parachute’ and did the 7 stories exercise in it, and I got a lot clearer about the path I wanted to take.
- What it doesn’t deal with at all, and I think it’s a mistake, is what the What Color is Your Parachute exercise does, what we did in the Skills Workshop.
By the way: the Skills Workshop was a dead giveaway for me: even though you want to be happy, you want to live a meaningful life, you cannot be happy and successful unless you use your capacities and skills you like to use… but most people resist even doing the exercises…
So I have stopped doing the workshop. But personally I would not be where I am, and most people I coached in the skills area, would not be where they are, without doing those darn 7 stories… to gain clarity. This questionnaire doesn’t deal with this part of the issue. In another incarnation of the questionnaire I’ll include questions that relate to this issue.
put in the missing link for you
Thanks for noticing.
Okay Sophie… I’ll ask (I’ve taken my man-up pills)…
Where is the link?
