What is happening when you can’t see what is in front of you, only your mind, only the filter?
There are several reasons why you wouldn’t be able to see and respond correctly to what is in front of you.
- Reason 1: you start verbalizing what is in front of you, which puts you right in your mind, together with the memories…I call that going to the morass, where you no longer see what you see, it is now displaced by some verbal interpretation… which is not what you are looking at… but a shadow of it.It is invisible to you…
You really think that you are interacting with reality…
Your results, accuracy, achievements are limited by the mental filter: you can now only see what you think you know.
Example: a chiropractor notices something. The moment the chiropractor qualifies it, there is no more seeing… and the accuracy of action is dubious at best.
- Reason 2: you look at reality, and you see vague shapes, forms, no rhyme and reason to what you see. This is a sign of no distinctions. No ability to see distinct forms, shapes, sounds, etc.Pattern recognition would be the answer, but unless you’ve been exposed to patterns, recognition is impossible.
- Reason 3: this reason is a combination of the first two: you go to your mind to make sense of what you are seeing, but there is no previous exposure, so you are clueless. Pattern recognition is seriously impeded with the introduction of words. According to Malcolm Gladwell, witnesses cannot recognize a face after they have discussed it with an investigator. It went from visual memory to intellectual memory… no more recognition is possible.Recognition is a non-verbal phenomenon.
When you mix in words, it bottoms out. Suddenly the pattern becomes invisible and is replaced by words, interpretations, meanings… unreality.
Words, meanings, interpretations, narration act like filters… and prevent you from being able to see reality.
This also applies to the narration in the style of “Stranger than Fiction” but it serves a purpose there: getting out of the head, the judgment, identifying yourself with your thoughts and your feelings…
Whenever you are able to be in the non-identified space, and try to identify patterns, cycles, so you can interact powerfully with what is, narration is a hindrance.
I am now diligently reading articles, and watching youtube videos about the world of increasing abilities through chess.
I believe that combining chess with activating capacities can lead to unprecedented growth, over time.
Chess is pattern recognition: a wordless art. A good chess player doesn’t think, a good chess player sees and responds.
Much like in chess, the ability to be with reality the way reality is, including feelings and thoughts, is the most effective method to live a high vibration life and become an achiever.
I’ve always wanted to to play chess, but was intimidated to learn it for some reason. This morning after reading your second article mentioning chess, I thought ok, let’s check it out.
I found an app. that’s made for kids…of all ages..lol. This will be fun to learn. Thank you Sophie.
ok Rebecca. let me know how it goes.
